Excellent service. Went far and beyond to help me with get my Rx for my bio-identical hormones. They spent time on the phone with me and all of my questions, even checked my insurance coverage for me. Unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to the bio-identicals, so there will be no reason (at this point) to use this pharmacy again. BUT...if I needed to...I'd drive the 15 mins. My dog is extremely picky when it comes to taking her medicine -- I've tried hiding them in Pill Pockets, and she's somehow outsmarted me by eating the treat AROUND the pill. I was just about at my wit's end when my vet recommended Harbor Compounding. I called them, and they reassured me that they would take care of us by adding some flavoring. When I went in to pick it up, I was immediately greeted by the friendly and courteous staff -- a refreshing change from the curt treatment I'd gotten used to at the chain pharmacies. They even offered me a dropper to measure out the medication (elsewhere, I have to ask, and they don't always have it). Lo and behold, my doggie ended up loving her medicine. Went here to pick up my medication after two of my friends recommended it to me after I vent to them about how much I hated going to conventional( big name brand) pharmacies. Harbor is a special pharmacy indeed. First off their customer service is awesome!!! They truly make you feel like they care about you. I always get to speak to one of the pharmacist if I want. There expertise and advice is unparalleled. If you request info about their high grade vitamins and supplements like I did a pharmacist will literally come out with you on to the store front and let you know what vitamins are for and which ones are best for whatever you want them for. I've been using Harbor Compounding Pharmacy for years. I used to get two months filled at once as there was a price break for doing that and my insurance didn't cover my prescription. Well one day I was told by Harbor Compounding that my insurance would in fact cover my Rx but I would only be able to get one month at a time. Not a problem if my insurance was covering it. Well after about 2 months I was informed by them that my insurance wouldn't cover it after all, so I switched back to getting a 2 months supply. When I did that the price had increased significantly. When I asked why I was told that was the pricing because I had been receiving one month and now switched to two months. I explained that I had been receiving a two months supply until they told me to switch. Today I called to have my Rx delivered to me and the price has gone up yet again. I used to pay $68 for a two month supply and now I am paying $90. And the one year Rx from my doctor that used to be filled is now only valid for 6 months. When did this change, it's always been valid for a year in the past. Time to find a new pharmacy. read more

Life savers! I want to start by saying my original prescription was transferred from California pharmacy to another compounding pharmacy since there were discontinuing compounding medications. I started my medicaion from the other compounding pharmcy and started having horrible side effects. This went on for 3 months before I figured out it was my prescription. Out of desperation, I called Harbor Compounding and explained the situation. They said they could call and transfer my prescription over, fill it and I could try their formula. They transferred it and had my prescription ready in approx 2 hrs! I picked it up right away and as soon as I started their formula, the bad side effects were gone. I feel great on their formula now! These people are absolutely wonderful! We were getting thyroid medication for my cat, who passed away recently from an unrelated condition, and (not sure why) their's was the only formulation she responded to in a favorable manner after trying several other coumpounding pharmacies much closer to home. And here's one of the best parts - Harbor Compounding is in the next county over from us, but after I called for a refill, we would get the medicine on our doorstep by the next day! I have been collaborating with over 80 pharmacies for a decade. This pharmacy is by far a cut above all of them. They have the best customer service and extremely knowledgeable pharmacists. They are PCAB certified. They have overnight courier service within Californa which is fabulous. Even if you call the day before you will have your meds the next day. This is very unusual in this world. The store is visually beautiful. They have a large supply of supplements and many books and novelty items for sale. I'm not too happy with these folks. My wife is a new patient and right out of the gate I'm very unimpressed! So, beware, if you're a new patient or even an old patient, check to make sure they aren't double charging you for prescriptions! My wife called and they didn't right their wrong. So I called, I got put on hold for a while and then they gave me a straight up lie that the invoice price wasn't updated. I know this is a lie because my Doctor told me he's been getting this certain medication for under $50 dollars for the last year! He also said they did the same thing to him last week and it's making him look bad bc he's referring patients there. Apparently it's a great compounding pharmacy, but I don't want to be dealing with dishonest people who are either A) trying to get one over on people who are unaware, or B) can't be honest when they make a mistake. To me, it feels dishonest and sneaky and if my wife didn't need this stuff I would go elsewhere. Clean up your act and get honest HCP! read more
