(See my previous review) I am updating my previous review because I got a call from a fellow Veteran that this Big R was now finally honoring their web site advertised Military / Veterans Discount. Off I went to verify. Lo and behold, they have a sandwich board outside the front door boasting of their Military / Veterans Discount. So, I went in, scored a free bag of popcorn at the door, was directed to the merchandise I wanted, went to pay where I presented my US Department of Defense Military Veterans id. I received a Veterans Discount. NO employee thanked me for my Service. Selection was adequate for the type of store it is. Organized Customer service was adequate. Disabled-friendly as aisles were clear and wide enough making them easy and safe to traverse. By that I mean the isles were not filled up with encroaching merchandise, and that merchandise in the isles was stacked low enough that I could see traffic. He received all the help he needed, but my experience was completely different. The moment I picked up an item in the camping aisle and handed it to my husband, who was carrying the basket, I noticed employees watching me. One employee kept their eyes on me for over 10 minutes. It got to the point where I had to make eye contact and stare back because I felt so uneasy. As a brown Asian customer shopping with my Caucasian husband, I couldn't help but feel like I was being singled out. The employees were constantly talking on their radios while watching me. They may have thought they were being subtle, but it was obvious. Whether intentional or not, I was left feeling as though I was being treated like I was stealing, and it completely ruined my shopping experience. No customer should leave a store feeling singled out or uncomfortable. This happened roughly 2-3 weeks ago, and I haven't been back since. Even though the store is only about a minute from my house, I refuse to shop there again. There are plenty of other places that know how to treat customers with respect.

The store is attached to a large warehouse where they have an massive inventory of every bolt and bolt nut size you would need for a project. If I could give Angela more than five stars, I absolutely would…read more We had a very large and complicated project with eight bathrooms, and I honestly don't know how we would have gotten through it without her. Angela is an incredibly talented designer with an amazing eye for detail. When the polished version of the tile we wanted wasn't available through the Reno store, she went above and beyond by coordinating with the Salt Lake distribution center to have it shipped directly to our home. She even worked to offset the shipping cost by reducing the price of the material, which was incredibly appreciated. Throughout the entire project, Angela helped us coordinate tile selections, grout colors, caulking, Schluter trim, and all of the countless design details that can easily become overwhelming. She was conscientious, responsive, proactive, and always followed through on everything she said she would do. What impressed me most was her level of customer service. At one point, while traveling through California on a weekend, she personally picked up the Schluter trim we needed from another Floor & Decor store and brought it back to the Reno store so it would be available for our project. She routinely answered my calls and texts on her personal cell phone, even outside of normal business hours, simply because she genuinely cared about making sure our project was successful. That level of dedication is almost impossible to find today. Building a home is one of the most stressful things I've ever done, but having Angela on our team made an enormous difference. Over the course of this project, she became much more than our designer--I truly consider her a friend. I can honestly say I could not have completed this project without her. If you're planning a remodel or building a home, do yourself a favor and find Angela at Floor & Decor in Reno before you make any tile decisions. After doing a quick online search, I found that Tractor Supply in Sparks had a great selection--and at better prices than I've paid in the past. The store had plenty of options to choose from, and I appreciated how well-stocked and organized everything was. One thing I really liked is that if you provide your phone number at checkout, your purchases are saved to your profile. That's a huge plus for me since I'm notorious for losing receipts--this makes returns or exchanges a breeze. Overall, solid experience. Great inventory, fair pricing, and a helpful system in place for tracking purchases. I'll definitely be back and would recommend Tractor Supply in Sparks Nevada to others!
