    Wine flight

Came here for the first time and i absolutely loved it! We had the classic flight. Generous portions as well, it was 10.00 dollars. I have done a few wine tastings and of course it's the typical door county fruit wines but wow this place offers high quality wine! I was very surprised. I loved all of my picks. I ended up buying Carmen's last dance because it was so good. This is my new favorite place to go for wine tastings.

I've been to wineries all over the word I using Napa Valley and Harbor Ridge is in my top 10 favorites of all time. I even have a tee-shirt that says "Carmen's Last Dance" that I got 4 years ago from here that celebrates their most popular seller. Need a case of just that! It's lovely to just sit outside and experience very generous tasting pours on their patio with some cheese and crackers purchased from the store directly in back of the winery. Still one of my favorites!

Very kind people running this place and good wine! More on the dryer side. Kind of like a cabin.

Solid wine, better vibe on the outdoor patio than the other door county wineries. Staff were a little gruff, feels like there is a lack of direction among the employees/management. If you're wondering which winery to check out in DC, this has my vote! Would go back!

This place had a great atmosphere with a beautiful upstairs loft. The live music was great, and overall it was a good time. Live music is every Saturday from 1pm to 4pm. That being said, we just don't love the wines. We each tried a flight and were unimpressed. A nice stop if you're going on a winery crawl, but overall nothing too exciting. It's a little bit small, so I wouldn't recommend a huge group.

Good wine. Nice outside seating. Great gift selection. Excellent cheese shop next door to buy cheese and enjoy with the the wine!

    Very creative wine labels!

Stopped in to get a few bottles of wine. Their wine is quite tasty and had some very creative labels. They also have cute barware gifts and other decorative items. Great outside patio. Staff were very friendly and efficient in their work. We will definitely come back here again!

Visited for the first time in mid august. Fun girls trip and did a wine tasting a day. We enjoyed the tastings but I have to say we weren't blown away by the wine at any of the tastings. All the wine I liked was 40 or more from grapes imported from California. Next time we are just bringing our own wine. I did buy one bottle here and they suggested we check out the cheese place next door. We walked over with a little wine buz and left with 4-5 things of cheese. it was fun.

Harbor Ridge has a variety of delicious wines that are reasonably priced and a fun atmosphere to hang out. They have a number of selections that are under $20. They have live music sometimes which is fun to just hang out and have some wine samples or by the glass. Our wine tastings came with a pretty heavy pour so they don't skimp on the samples. I love coming here when up visiting Door County.

Beautiful scenery, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and the BEST wine in Door County!

This is #3 of our winery visits while in Wisconsin. This one may be our favorite as it not only had great wine, but also very cool ambiance. Very home feeling with great employees helping us through our tastings and offering a lot of info. I didn't get the girls name but she's was super cool. Just moved here from California and was very nice. She even went outside and gave our friends dog water while they're waiting for us on the patio. We tried a few different cab's a merlot and a zin. We enjoyed it all. They also have a pretty big gift shop attached that has a lot to offer and sells local brewers beer too.

Went in for a tasting and we left with 6 bottles. Cherry-osity, their Rosè, two Rows make a white. We basically got doubles of it all. Pretty reasonable prices. We also stopped into the cheese master's shop. Tried what was on display and bought two kinds of cheeses. One we ate with a bottle on the patio and another to take home. Staff was super nice and knowledgeable.

The atmosphere is excellent because it is right on Lake Michigan outside of the harbor. It has a lake view in the backyard and plenty of seating as well as yard games to keep it fun and entertaining, especially if you had kids. This is a beloved spot for us because it used to be Yum Yum tree, our favorite candy shop! The man working was relatively helpful and efficient. We were able to choose a variety of wines based on flavor, profiles, reds, and white, sparkling, flat dry and sweet. They also had other cocktails and a beer list available as far as bites. It is small bites, like cheeseboard charcuterie, and I believe soft pretzels when the cheeseboard came out, it was locally sourced cheeses from door County Wisconsin, and that was definitely the highlight. the crackers were club, Ritz and the dollar multigrain crackers you can buy at a regular grocery store so nothing to write home about, but it was at least nice to have local cheeses. We weren't completely sold on the wine but that might be due to our own choices from the flight. Overall, if you're looking for a place to kill some time or have a quick glass of wine or a flight, this is a good stop if it is open!

His wine recommendations and tasting guidance were spot-on, but what truly impressed me was how he explained why I disliked dry wines. He took the time to teach us about wine in a way that was engaging, approachable, and incredibly informative. I even found myself fact-checking a few of the things he shared afterward--and he was absolutely right! I left with a much better understanding of wine and a completely different appreciation for it. The wines themselves were outstanding. Every sample was thoughtfully selected, and we loved them so much that we ended up taking home three bottles. It's rare to find a winery where every recommendation feels like a winner, but Lake Fire nailed it. The winery itself is just as memorable as the wine. The atmosphere is trendy, upscale, elegant, and welcoming all at the same time. My favorite spot was the charming outdoor garden tucked behind the tasting room. Sitting in the sunshine with a glass of incredible wine while overlooking the water felt absolutely magical. Lake Fire Winery has created something truly special. Between the knowledgeable and passionate staff, award-winning wines, and one of the most beautiful waterfront settings in Door County, this was easily one of the highlights of our trip. We can't wait to come back--and we'll definitely be recommending it to everyone we know!

Today it's a beautiful, much larger destination, but it's still a fun stop whenever we're in Door County. When you walk in, you can actually see some of the wine production taking place, which adds to the experience. There's a large tasting bar where you can sample a variety of wines, including the fruit wines Door County is known for, along with spirits and specialty whiskeys. This time I decided to venture beyond the wine and tried the cherry vodka--and it was excellent! Definitely a fun Door County twist and something I'd recommend sampling. There's also a really nice seasonal gift shop with plenty to browse, and of course you can stock up on your favorites to take home, have wine shipped, or even join their wine club. Whether you're a wine lover, interested in trying some locally inspired spirits, or simply looking for a fun Door County stop, I'd recommend spending an hour here. Do a little tasting, browse the shop, and chances are you'll find something delicious to bring home. After more than 40 years of visits, it's pretty amazing to see how far Door Peninsula Winery has come! I especially like that last sentence for your review because very few reviewers can genuinely say they've watched the place evolve over four decades. This really surprised me, because it's a semi-sweet wine and I don't like sweet wines! But apparently I like this sweet wine. It had notes of honeysuckle and lemon, and it was served chilled. You can sit at the bar, or take your drinks to one of the tables, or even the patio if the weather is nice. There are some kids' toys and games around, because this winery is kid-friendly, which is cool. In fact, while I was there, a couple came in with their toddler and enjoyed a wine tasting while their kid quietly played. It was nice to see that parents can enjoy a quick wine break even with a kid in tow. During the tasting, I got to learn a little about the winery. They have a vineyard behind the winery where they grow their own grapes. They also get grapes from around Wisconsin and Washington state. This is a little family-run business, and the owners are super friendly and very dedicated to their craft.
