My friend and I came here for coffee, such a cute town market but the parking is not ideal because it's just street parking especially with all the snow. We got lucky and someone just left so we got a spot right out front. I got an iced vanilla latte with cinnamon and cardamom in it with almond milk and my friend did the iced lavender latte. They have food too we just didn't have time to eat. Lots of seating options, I do wish they had more smaller tables instead of the larger tables but overall great place to go. The service seemed quick too.

Cuban sandwich

A lot of outdoor seating and much of it under trees make this feel like it's in a rural spot more than a city. There's plenty of indoor space also. Staff is friendly and inviting. No line and my Cuban sandwich came out pretty quickly on a real plate. Sandwich was delicious

Plain chocolate chip cookie

They have the best chocolate chip cookies in the area. There is sea salt chocolate chip, regular chocolate chip, walnut chocolate chip. I stop by about once a month for cookies. I've dined inside for breakfast and have ordered the Cuban sandwich to go. I don't particularly have a favorite breakfast dish. The fresh croissants are delicious if and when they are available which is not often. The ice coffee is pretty good but overpriced. The inside is simple, family farmhouse style. With various size stables. There is outdoor seating. This location is pet friendly and they have water bowls. Service is okay. Nothing good or bad to add here.

Everytime I come here I have a good experience. The chocolate sea salt cookies are a must to take home after a nice meal. It's a great spot for a quick coffee or a full breakfast/lunch. I love coming here to do some school work. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Really quick service and friendly people

Delish Breakfast!

Absolutely delicious meal every time! The breakfast food is excellent- can't go wrong with anything. And, would highly suggest the cookies!! Sea salt is the best! Can be a bit of a wait when going at peak hours- BUT bring a game or a book and enjoy the company or the peace and quiet! Ambiance is fun and quirky but fits the beautiful neighborhood it's situated in!

The Scarpariello

This place is a gem, great ambiance in a local neighborhood of Black Rock. While their food is good, today I rate my meal 3 stars due to an unexpected hair strand that was in the scarperiello (egg scramble with sausage, onions and peppers) I ordered. I brought it to the attention of the staff but wasn't expecting them to do anything about it since I did eat the meal, though the experience was not very enjoyable upon finding and spitting out the hair. Although the vibe of this place is great and the food is otherwise nice, it's a shame to know that this $15 dish is being made and served in an unsanitary place. Word of caution, keep an eye on your food!

Harborview never misses! A great spot to eat clean (or indulge with their baked goods!) and gather with friends.

"I saw the harbor lights I watched the harbor lights I long to hold you near and kiss you just once more But you were on the ship and I was on the shore" (The Platters) I can't remember the last time we went out to lunch, ordered our food at the counter, were directed to take a seat, and were told "it will take an hour for the food to come out". But it just happened on Monday at Bridgeport's Harborview Market. Maybe it was the Juneteenth holiday, maybe the kitchen was understaffed, I don't know because Harborview sure didn't seem crazy busy to us. After we ordered, we did get our drinks right away and wandered outside to find a table. My green iced tea ($3.75 for 16 ounces) was homemade and quite delicious. Harborview is oddly located smack in the middle of Bridgeport's Blackrock neighborhood. It's purely residential and is the only commercial establishment in sight -there are single family houses everywhere around you. So we had plenty of opportunity to sit and watch the cars in search of a parking spot and the locals walking over for a lunch. We needed all that time for a salad and two sandwiches to be prepared. About 75 minutes later, our food was delivered to us. Two of my lunch companions ordered the same item - a Btat Sandwich ($11.25) with Bacon, turkey, avocado, tomato, and mayo on 12 grain toast. The sandwich was served with a pickle spear. I went for a salad and chose the Sophie ($17.50) with spinach & arugula, carrots, red onion, cucumbers, spicy chicken, bacon, mandarin oranges, avocado, roasted walnuts, and a creamy garlic dressing. My salad was great - a very generous serving of hot sauced chicken tenders inside a big bowl of those fresh salad fixings. The dish was excellent and large enough that some of it came home for another round. But I havent even mentioned one of the very best features of Harborview -their cookies!!!!! OMG are they fantastic. We bought three for $5 and selected chocolate chip walnut, chocolate chip sea salt, and a brown sugar cookie and they fantastic. My favorite was the CCW - it was half an inch thick and absolutely loaded with chocolate. Harborview cookies have become quite a cult item -go Google them and see for yourself. So if you're a Cookie Monster, or have one in your family, next time you're around Bridgeport go and satisfy your sweet tooth, grab a few, or finish off your meal with one!

Today was probably not the best day to randomly eat out. There was an hour wait. We didn't notice it was our coffee on the counter and we got it cold. When the order was ready they forgot 2 sides, one of which wasn't even placed on the order.

Very pleasant coffee shop deli grocery store that's been doing business at this corner for 100 years. Literally. Pick up your muffin, egg sandwich or whatever then go snag a table outside on the sidewalk. A sunny day makes the entire experience wonderful.

I was visiting this area because I was in town for a three day convention and some of the friends told me about this place. I checked out yelp, found the location and picked myself up some items for my train ride back home. I got an iced spiced chai latte, and an iced cookie butter for tomorrow morning's work day. My oldest daughter got an iced vanilla latte and my other two daughters ordered a chocolate and a cinnamon muffin. I later learned that they were giving 15% off for visitors visiting the convention center and because I missed that opportunity, I was instead offer an assortment of complementary danishes. I have to say my iced spiced chai latte was delicious! So go that I ordered another one in the larger size to take home. I wished all chais would taste like this. They have set the standard. It was so smooth with the amazing yummy spices you could taste, just really good. My daughters, all three had no complaints. They loved the muffins, although they said it should have been warm up, but still was very soft, moist and fresh. I wished that on my second order, the girl who rang up our order would have honored that 15% perfect off because we still made another order after finding out but she didn't and she wasn't very pleasant like the guy, so I just let it go, it was a spiritual weekend for me and I didn't want to let her irritated me. I even included a tip because the male staff member was great. The space is very cafe friendly, plenty of seating, nice ambiance with relaxing music playing. If I lived in this area this place would definitely be my choice of places to frequently visit. So although four stars I'm still giving two thumbs up! Happy Yelping!

Service [5/5]: The workers here were extremely friendly and made sure we knew what we wanted, and how we wanted it too. They also gave us a free dubai chocolate croissant for the "long wait" when it was really like 2 minutes, we didn't even complain or think it was taking long so it was really considerate of them to let us have one for free. They're very nice employees! Atmosphere [5/5]: The place is really nice and a great lounge. Open area with good amount of seating there were people doing work there while also drinking whatever they ordered. Music was a little too loud but honestly still a great lounge area. Food: [2.5/5]: Heres where it gets shaky, I personally didn't love what I got, and I specifically say love and not like beause I did like the food but it's nothing to rush to try and honestly underwhelming as well. Crepe (Strawberries, Bananas, Nutella, sweetened condensed milk) 2.5/5. It was fine and for some reason crispy like a potato chip. I've never had a crepe with that texture and it was weird. The crepe also wasn't really sweet and was kinda tough to eat. Strawberry lemonade 1/5. I didn't really enjoy it very much. It wasn't sweet and it tasted like a watered down Kool-Aid. I only really drank it because it was hot today. I would've probably gotten a water or something else. This was horrible. Dubai croissant 2/5 for my first time trying a Dubai chocolate anything that would sure be my last time. The croissant itself is delicious but all of the extra stuff was disgusting in my opinion. It was very nice of him to give it to us for free but had I known what it tastes like before I would'e turned it down. The croissant alone is very delicious though. tldr: Overall outside of aesthetics I doubt I see myself coming here again. The food was bland, the service was great, and so was the ambiance. But realistically you're coming here to eat and drink not sit around. So I'd probably go somewhere else unless you're willing to take a chance here.

If you're on the hunt for a traditional French bakery with authentic French and European pastries, desserts, and breads, you will happily walk out of here with a bag of wonderful goodies. When you walk in, you'll come across a tempting display case piled high with their baked goods. I saw platters of croissants of every description! Plain, Chocolate, Choc/Raspberry, Almond, Almond/Choc, Croissant Donuts and Croissant donut holes. But wait there's more! Brioches, chocolate Plies, Pinwheels, fruit turnovers, Cinnamon Rolls, Coffee Cakes, Danishes, Beignets, Scones, Fruit Tarts, Palmiers. The list goes on and on and I haven't even gotten to their cookies, macarons, baguettes, rolls, challah, cakes, quiches, and sandwiches. Seriously, you can have three meals a day here for a month and never duplicate anything. When I walked in, the dining room was pretty busy with customers enjoying a late lunch. The ordering line for baked goods was around five deep, which gave me plenty of time to check out the goods. I ended up with a nice assortment of a chocolate croissant, a chocolate Plie, a fruit turnover, donuts, and a fruit pie. We had some of the goodies last night and a bit more for breakfast today. The chocolate plié was amazing, and honestly, everything we've tried so far has been great. Easy FIVE STARS, n'est-ce pas?
