I've been noshing at Golds since 1968 and it's just as delicious now as it ever was. Reuben's are a decadent treat. Tuna salad is perfect every time. Roast beef is rare. Turkey's fresh roasted. Bagels and Baked goods are fresh. Even the frozen take home items are worth keeping in stock. It thrills me to no end that not only do my kids appreciate Golds, but now my grandchildren do as well. Bravo Golds!

Stopped here for lunch the other day and it is in a small shopping center. When you enter there is a retail and deli space upfront and the restaurant is in the back of the store. If you are eating there than just sit at an open table and a waitress will take your order. I had the super sandwich with a black and white cookie. The sandwich was delicious and a good size. I added extra sauce to my sandwich but they put that on the side so you can doctor it up as you see fit. The black-and-white cookie was delicious and fluffy. I would definitely stop here for lunch again when I'm in the area.

Pastrami on rye

Very old school deli with lots of history. Had high hopes for this place but for me it was not bad but not exceptional. Had the pastrami on non seeded rye and it was fairly good but does not stack up to Greenblatt pastrami (now closed unfortunately due to pandemic). People here are very nice however, and place seems trapped in time.

Ridiculously over priced! Left without ordering a thing. Clearly not popular as only one other couple was there.

From the moment you walk in, you're treated like a regular even if it's your first time. The ingredients are always fresh, the portions are massive, and you can tell they actually care about the food they're serving. So far, I have not been disappointed with any of my orders. I always try to get something different but its so hard to choose because everything is just so good!!! Ive had: The Big Brown Burrito 10/10 The Oh Charlie 9.5/10 The OMG Plate 9.5/10 Hometown Breakfast Burrito 10/10 Tuna Melt 10/10 Grilled Chicken Sub 9/10 (rosemary is a bit strong on it but still delicious) Steak egg and cheese with home fries 12/10 my personal favorite!!

I was at work and craving a breakfast sandwich, so I checked Yelp and found Dave and Charlie's…read moreHometown Deli. I decided to give it a shot, and I got greeted as soon as I walked in. The staff was super friendly, and I ordered a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. It was made on a Brioche roll with a fried egg. Honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of the egg or the sandwich overall. It was okay, probably a three-star kind of thing. Next time I went back, I tried the Calise sandwich, which has chicken cutlet, broccoli rabe, roasted peppers, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, and balsamic glaze. I asked for the broccoli rabe on the side because I know everyone makes it differently. I get that it can be bitter, but some places make it taste amazing without the bitterness, so I wanted it on the side. The sandwich was really good, so I'd give it four stars, especially since the breakfast one was just three in my book. Sometimes you gotta visit a place a couple of times to really get a feel for their food. I wasn't really a fan of the broccoli rabe--it was a bit too bitter for me. But the sandwich itself was tasty, with well-seasoned chicken and really fresh mozzarella. Not sure if they make the mozzarella in-house, but it's delicious. It tasted just like you'd expect from an authentic Italian deli. Very good. Third time I went, I tried the Mother Clucker, which has a chicken cutlet, Russian dressing, cheddar cheese, and bacon. I wanted to try it because I'd seen it being made during my last visit and it looked awesome. It took about ten minutes to get ready. When I opened it up, I realized it had melted cheddar, not sliced like I thought, but it was all good. The sandwich was tasty, but a bit over the top with the bacon and melted cheddar--almost too much. I think using sliced cheddar would bring everything together better. The melted cheese kinda takes away from it, in my opinion. The bacon was crispy even with the cheesy sauce on top, and the chicken was nicely seasoned. I definitely plan to come back and try the Chopped Italian Combo. The staff's always friendly and welcoming, and it's a solid spot if you're looking for breakfast, with plenty of breakfast platters and other menu items that might catch your eye.
