We came to Liscio's for steak to grill at home. There was a steady stream of people in and out during our 10 minute visit - seemingly mostly regulars. There are a lot of imported items - pantry, snacks, pasta, and candies. I'm not sure I'd say the prices are amazing, but our strip steak was great! Quick service. read more

This is a solid market with one of the best butchers in the area. All of the on site prepared foods are fantastic and I like the house made kielbasa (fresh and smoked). I cook it with the little peppers you can buy in a jar here. Just ask them how they like to do it and they will point them out. They make fresh hot dogs too and they are great. Easily one of the best sandwiches in the area as well. Highly recommended! read more

Drop over there constantly for their unbelievably good cold cuts (roast beef best in a 20 mile radius), steaks and stuffed pork chops. I've heard people drive up from Greenwich for their stuffed cabbage, but you need to call ahead. I'm lucky girl to live right around the corner! read more

Been getting my meats (steaks, chicken, pork chops, etc) from Liscio's since the 1980's. Always fresh, and tasty. Also, the deli meats are the best around! They make it easy to pick up a freshly made-to-order sandwich and salad (potato, macaroni, and coleslaw) for lunch on-the-go. The best meat in the area. I can't buy steak from the grocery store anymore. His London Broils are only 5.99 lb and they are 2 inches thick and have the best taste ever!!! I've been in my family's Meat Market business for ten years and my father in law owner & operator for 3- generations out in Lordship. When we were getting ready to go home for the day ! And a good Customer came in late to buy Meat your number one profit , we would stay late and help them out ! Mind you ! We would tell them to call us earlier so it would be ready , for when they came , Cash them out and we leave for home ! But when there's no Call in's and we Cleaned all our Machine's even the saw Machine for cutting Bone in Pork Chops , we would ask how many do you need ? If it isn't a Substantial Amount ! We say I'm sorry we cleaned all our Machines and closing for the day ! Our day would start at 5am to 5pm ! So if Mr Liscio's was Closing in 25 minutes and were washing down their Machines Well I'd have to agree we're going home ! Next time a good Customer will call in their orders ! read more

I mow live in North Carolina. When I travel back up to CT, I always make at least 2 trips to Liscio'. The prices are more than reasonable, and the meat is always fresh. I love this place. They have every classic Italian cut of meat and cold cuts as well. The workers are friendly and if you go enough, they will learn your name and order. And that is priceless. The line can be super long which means a lot of the good cuts can be taken/out not to mention there are so many other restaurants and stores in the same small area that there is not a lot of parking. read more

I like my stuff fresh and I don't mind driving or paying extra to get it. I was recommended to try Liscio's for their bacon. I found myself there one day after a huge snow storm when I wanted to make home made chili. No disappointment here. The bacon is home cured and freshly cut to your specifications. The ground beef was so pink and pretty I couldn't help but to order as much as I could carry. They wrapped it up in an old school brown wrapper and sent me on my way. The defining moment for me? Both my grandmother and my mother swear by this place for any of their meat needs. But not only is it great for that, they also have an array of different types of food that they cook and sell as well as a great selection of freshly baked breads. Although sometimes a little more on the pricey side, its well worth it when you realize the quality of the things you are purchasing. The first summer we moved back to CT, my boyfriend surprised me with a delicious meal with some of the best meat I've ever tasted. The meat came from Meat Land, and we rotate our meat purchases now between their and Porricellis down the road. The service is friendly, we have never had a problem with the quality of the meat, and while the prices and quality are the same as say Stop & Shop the meat itself looks (and tastes) a lot better. They also have various other staples (eggs, tomatoes, onions... pierogies!) which can save you a trip to another market. I have also found out my family had used Meat Land many times over the years to purchase whole animals for our souvla on Easter and other special occasions. Lamb, pig, chickens, and goat... you name it, they put it on the spit and it was always delicious. Great quality, great service, reasonable prices. read more

This is the deli that I wish we had locally in FL. They have all the meats, sausage, multiple perogies, peppers, rolls, etc.

Quality of meats and prepared foods are great. My husband I love their stuffed cabbage too. You have to order it and they sell it on Mondays, Wednesday's and Friday's. I gave them 4 stars because twice I ordered stuffed.cabbage and they sold it to someone else. Also I have been there a few times around 5:30 and there was a young man (employee?) cursing loudly in front of my young daughter. read more

Terrific place. Fresh meats, great buy on fresh ground beef and fresh made burgers. Their homemade bologna is outstanding. As some have stated the smoked bacons are out of this world, especially the paprika bacon. Absolutely wonderful customer service! Recently returned to CT for a visit and stopped at Liscio's to bring back some stuffed cabbage to Central Fla. Their stuffed cabbage is like eating my mom's which she used to make for a restaurant. They packed my Tupperware full, which I didn't expect, and even gave me extra juice.
