We're new to the area so we're checking out local breweries. We went to this one and we must admit it was pretty good. The beers were tasty. We sampled all that they had. The cider was good as well and then my husband and myself ordered some pretzel sticks dipped in beer cheese, which was also tasty and the best thing we ate was a flatbread pickled pizza. We opted not to get spicy since I get upset stomachs, but it was very tasty. We'll definitely be back and the service was top-notch. read more

Located barely 3 blocks north of the TV Swap Meet is this small bar with nice ambiance and modest (8-10) but decent on-tap collection (though some can be annoyingly out/empty). Certain nights they'll have a busker or karaoke, so check their website if you don't want to be dragged to the mic! Easy/free parking in the private lot surrounding all the industrial/businesses. We stopped in there Dec. 27, 2022 mid-afternoon to check it out and try a beer or two. It's located in an industrial area, but once inside, it's very comfortable. I had a pint of their Oat n' Rye stout, 7.6% ABV. Great color and aroma. Rich stout taste. I really enjoyed it. We did sample the Amurkin Gerkin dill pickle gose, 5.0% ABV. WOW! It's a sour ale. Get your nose just close to your glass and the unmistakable aroma of dill pickles hits you. Take a sip and you'd swear you're drinking juice right out of the pickle jar. Super flavorful! This is a very intriguing beer and you have to remind yourself it's a beer, not from the pickle jar. I could see this used to make an interesting Michelada. Had family in town, and one of them is huge on beers and checking out all the breweries, so we ended up here. Had about 10 items to choose from. Did some samples and all tasted pretty good. Got a glass and played some Jenga, which was fun. we thought they might have a food menu but it was extremely limited and the two things we started out asking for they were out of. Decided to just get some stadium nachos and go eat supper afterwards. There's only a few tables inside in the bar area, you can sit at. Seem to be an old school video console in the corner and some people were playing dominoes at the table next to us. Pretty low-key but it was the middle of an afternoon work week day. read more

Atmosphere - In this mixed use complex you will find this tiny brewery with small taproom.  Tonight they had a local band that was too loud for that small space.  I found a spot a the bar and used my Untappd app to read the menu.  The menu board changed to much, and the app was easier for me. Drinks - As you probably know if you read my reviews I am an IPA junkie.  They had at least two on menu out of ten.  I had the #9 which was a hazy IPA, Hazy Gila #5.  I think I found a winner.  I would have this one again.  Based on the name, I have a feeling it will not be around much longer.  The guy next to me was loving the "What Would Wonka Do?" a hazelnut chocolate vanilla milk stout.  I should have tried a little sample. Service - A great lady behind the bar, funny with a great smile.  That is what you need with a great beer. Came here during the afternoon on a weekday and were able to get a table very quickly. The staff was very efficient and friendly. To eat we had the bacon jalapeno pizza and cheesy garlic flatbread breadsticks. Both of these were solid but nothing extraordinary. The beer kind of fit the same routine, good, but nothing that really stood out. My favorite from the flight we split was the Bummer Summer, a watermelon kolsch. Wouldn't be opposed to returning, but not at the top of my list. read more

We made our own little AZ Brewers Guild beer crawl and started here! 1 - Wüstebier - Great Oktoberfest beer! Really enjoyed this one. 3 - Li Hing Mui - I did not enjoy this sour. I don't usually like sours anyway. My wife enjoyed it tough and said relatively speaking it's a light sour. 5 - Rye'd Up - Also really enjoyed this Rye IPA! Not too Rye. 8 - Lilith - Not their beer but it is their guest brew and pretty good. 9 - Oaf - This looked like it would be way heavier than it ended up being. Enjoyed this one as well but would go for 1 or 10 over this. 10 - Harbottle IPA - Pretty light and easy drinking. My favorite from the set we got. Overall, great first stop!! My wife and I were on vacation in Tucson and we tried out this new taproom in a strip mall on the way home from Tombstone. The place is fairly large inside and there was a family in there that brought in a pizza meal and seemed to be enjoying themselves. We bellied up to the bar and they have some cool monitors that show their menu and people that have checked in on the UnTapped beer rating app, which I thought was pretty cool. I ordered the IPA and the bartender was a pretty young guy who was funny and he and his co-worker had a lot of fun banter going on. The beer was a solid IPA, at $6, a little pricey for beer they make right there, but I was pleased with the hoppiness of it. I only had one, but I have a feeling these guys will do fine, just based on their attitude and quality quaffs. read more

I'm honestly torn between 3-4 stars. The good: clean, good beer choices, easy to find and plenty of parking. Not necessarily the bad part but the lacking part is the atmosphere and why I'm struggling writing a review. I wish I could pinpoint it but this brewery has a very subdued atmosphere despite being St. Patty's Day and other people around. Maybe it's the music... maybe it's the fresh paint smell... maybe it's the minimalistic decorations... whatever it is I cannot out my finger on it! The Blazed IPA was new and different. It tasted like a pot brownie with the CBD after taste. The Belgian was good. You can get a $2 5 oz pour if you're not up for a pint or a flight, it's a good way to go. The cucumber saison was delicious and you could taste the cucumber. I'll definitely be back to see how this budding brewery blooms! For now, I'm a bit on the fence. read more

We ordered a flight of beer including the kolsch, cucumber saison, pale ale, New England IPA, and, if I remember correctly, a dubbel. They also offered the IPA with what is basically a legal additive derived from the marijuana plant that can be used to help someone relax. I've had craft beer all over the world, and that's something that I have never heard of. We didn't order it, but it was definitely an interesting idea. The taproom is very clean and modern and looks like there is a good amount of money backing this brewery. I really wanted to love this place, but neither I nor my husband really enjoyed any of the beer. Nothing was terribly memorable or was something that I would absolutely go back for. They have only been around a few months, so I hope they can evolve so they can change my mind in the future. read more

Haven't been here for quite awhile, with the pandemic and all. I am so happy I stopped by again. The tasting room is very warm and inviting as well as being light and bright. All the beers that were tried were excellent, I am a fan of IPA's and theirs are especially tasty. We tried some of the food and it was nice to have this option. So yet another brewery has opened in Tucson, our beer scene is really exploding, and normally that would be great, but in our case here in Tucson, not so much. Many of our breweries are just not very good, the beers are quite pedestrian, and just have no wow factor, and a few of our breweries are just downright atrocious. And then we have a small number of standouts. So where does Harbottle fit into this group, it's right smack in the middle. The beers though well made and free from off flavors just fail to impress, with one exception, the IPA is very good. The others were good, but just not great, or mind blowing. The service was great however and the BT/Owner was a great guy, and passionate about his product and his business. He knew his beers and was pleasant to speak with. To be fair these guys are just getting started, so we'll see how it goes for them. I will say this if you're in the area they definitely rate a stop in. Great vibe! Had their crossroads and easy-going beers (belgian dubbel and kolsch respectively) and I'm definitely satisfied. The workers here are very friendly and they have the olympics playing! They do have food trucks here rotating in and out so there is definitely food. If you're not into food trucks, they have a burger king about half a football field away! read more

Great environment and great beer. Passed through from out of town to try their Belgian dubbel beer called the Crossroads. Decently priced beers at $6 per 16oz draft or 13oz for the crossroads. Phenomenal beer. Have had a good time coming here the last couple of times. Has a very neighborhood bar type vibe. The bartenders have been great, talkative, but also understanding if you want to be left alone. The beer itself is amazing, between my friend and I we have tried all they've had on tap this month. Some of course are lacking for me but that is a taste bud thing and preference rather than an actual criticism.
