They can fix anything, but they've really honed their skills on garage doors. My family, like many others, uses my garage door every day. It opens at least 25 times a day, . If you add the opening and closing of the door's , it's probably around 10,000 times a year. But here's the thing: my garage door was heavy and noisy. It was a real struggle wearing out my garage opener. Kevin, the technician, came to my rescue. He accurately weighed the doors, calculated the right springs, tensioned them correctly, and tuned the door to a gentle close. My wife is so happy since the garage door no longer can be heard in the upstairs bedroom every time someone comes in or out through the day. The Door Doctors did such a fantastic job on my first garage door I decided to have them work their magic on my other door even though it was already operational. When I compared it next to their work it was very obvious it was originally installed by total amateurs! Now both of the doors operate smoothly, and our counter balance to weigh almost nothing. The cost was very reasonable. At my new house , the garage door seal was falling apart and was not a standard type. One of my openers didn't work also and the other one was 25 years old. Pat came out and was able to replace the seals & seal mounts on both doors. They're now a standard type I can get at Home Depot if ever needed again. He also installed (2) new Liftmaster WLED openers, which are super quiet and have battery backup and really bright LED lights. Best part is the app that lets me open/close and check status of the doors from anywhere. I had a trouble code about 3 weeks after install and I contacted Pat to see how to resolve. When mold showed through the ceiling of the room below the shower and the mold remediation contractor cut through the ceiling it was clear we needed to consider replacing the shower and much of the subfloor. Serious perusing of reviews on yelp led me to JRW. Just one phone call made me hopeful. First they re- grouted the shower pan/wall connection so it could be used until they had an opening in their schedule a few weeks away to replace the shower. Finally the big day came. Joel (the owner) sent me photos (it was a tenant occupied home) everyday and explained every step of the way what needed to be done and how much it would cost. He respected my decisions. He also picked out materials subject to my approval - and I always said yes because his choices were excellent as well as in budget. I had been concerned of the impact of a big project with workers in and out every day for a week or so on the tenants. I needn't have worried, the day after it was complete the tenant emailed me unsolicited and said that the workers did a great job: excellent workmanship, seemed trustworthy, respectful of the tenants and house, cleaned up everything and though they hope no more issues arise, they said if workers are ever needed there again they would hope it's the crew from JRW. Two small issues arose unrelated to this project (sticky door and gutter issue) and Joel took care of them for a minor charge. Most mom and pop landlords will tell you- the dreaded call from a tenant that something is broken causes you a few minutes of angst trying to figure out who to call to get it fixed. Now that I know about JRW, I won't feel that worry anymore.
