I was just asking for trim boards around the roof of a one story home to be painted. Very little scraping to be done but they are dirty as we get lots of dirt in this location. I specifically asked him is his estimate included washing the boards before painting them. He hesitated and then told me "we can do that". It sounded like he was not going to clean before painting. That is one way the paint will peel in no time. I have no way to know if he was going to do it but his answer led me to believe he had to add more in the estimate. We did not use this company as the estimate was higher than I paid in the past for trim on a home that was this size and one story. Last year I had all the trim boards painted plus a wood fence area off front porch (about 4 ft) on a two story home for less than this company was going to charge. It was a professional company I found on Yelp. So I did not feel like the price was right for the amount of work on this home. I was in property management for 30 years so I have an idea of what need to be done and have kept up with prices. **Yes, I am giving you a review based on your estimate which is fair. I asked to have the panel painted with semi-gloss this time to avoid fingerprints. He suggest painting the surface of the trim in semi, and the bottom in flat to match the existing ceiling. It's small details that make the finished product. I will definitely us Radcliffe for any future painting needs. They are a local family owned business and care about their work.

Julio was the first to answer my request for a quote, and the first to schedule an appointment to see the house. He showed up on time, and I was impressed that as the owner of the business, Julio arrived instead of sending an employee. He told me when he would email me a quote after our meeting, and he sent the quote when he said he would. This is why I chose Julio's Painting beyond his quote, which was reasonable and within my budget. Julio followed through on what he said he would do, which is very important to me in business and in life. My house was initially a garish bright blue, as if the Smurfs had relocated to Northwest Reno. This project was more than a paint job, it was an aesthetic intervention. Within a week from the day that I requested a quote, Julio and José began the process of giving my place a much needed upgrade...to my relief and to that of my neighbors, who stopped by to compliment the evolving exterior facelift of the property. The job would have taken no more than three or four days, but Reno experienced half a week of pouring rain. I wouldn't have asked them to show up on a holiday, but they came by on Labor Day to make up for the lost time caused by the downpour. The guys were very careful to cover the carpets, flooring & furniture to prevent paint spots. They masked off the ceilings that were not being painted so the new wall colors stayed off. The stairway was carefully done~~even at the 12' level. They managed to paint 6 rooms, a stairway & a hallway in 2 days time as promised. It looks REALLY good, no mess & NO REGRETS. We are very happy with the results & can't wait to show off the new interior colors!!
