Let me begin by saying, we've been to various Hard Rock Cafe's around the globe. We're always excited to try one when we venture to a new city or country. So, since we were in Dublin, we headed over to the Hard Rock to order some of our favorites. Well.. this time is was a huge disappointment. Firstly, since the restaurant was located in the Temple Bar "TOURIST" area, the prices were inflated. (28 Euro for an over-cooked burger with fries...really?) To be honest this only gets a 3 because the Hard Rock is so camp and it's beyond expensive but this place did come to us in a time of need haha We came after the Georgia Tech Florida State game and Dublin was packed and we were starving and the Hard Rock was not that busy so we popped in. This is a typical HRC store. The food was overpriced, but good. I ordered the ribs and they always seem to taste exactly the same as in the past. The drinks were underwhelming and super expensive. Especially compared to all the surrounding alternatives. The place is loud and overcrowded with tourists. Our waitress was very nice, but she seemed to disappear at times for 15 minute intervals. I think the corporate offices need to do something about all these stores, as they are almost exactly as they were in the 80's, only with ridiculous prices. read more

Dublin's Hard Rock Cafe is located right at the beginning of Fleet Street as you enter the ever busy and popular Temple Bar area. While I did not eat here on this occasion, I have eaten here on a past visit to Ireland. This review is only for the atmosphere and Rock Shop experience. The Hard Rock Cafe Dublin has been open about 20 years, and has been renovated a few times. Most of the street level is dominated by their gift shop (Rock Shop), with a majority of the restaurant seating down one level. Wandering around the main restaurant level, it felt a bit too dark in places and smelled a bit musty (the age is showing). Still, some areas are brighter than others, so your dining experience may vary a bit based on where you're seated. The Rock Shop was stocked really well with merchandise including shirts, glassware, and collectibles. I was happy they had both a bottle opener and a city shot glass as I try to pick up the ones with nice designs when I travel. The one big negative is that prices are extremely high compared to many other European locations. About 20 euros for a bottle opener and 16 euros for a shot glass are a bit much. I'm sure it costs quite a bit to be located in an ideal tourist spot in Dublin, but the franchise owner of this location is definitely pushing it on the higher end when it comes to prices. Overall, this is a reliable option for food (especially if you're not a fan of Irish food), but deducting a star for the higher than normal prices for a European Hard Rock Cafe location. read more

Recently went to the Dublin Ireland Hard Rock Cafe. Not as large as the others, small retail. I collect the hard rock pins, and do like the food. My husband ordered the sundae and I got onion rings. My phone was dying, but the waitress said she would ask the manager for a charge cord. He brought it out and we plugged in and got electricity. Nice guy. Nice staff! Was disappointed on so many levels. If you want an adult beverage stick to the beer as the mixed drinks are so weak I questioned whether they had forgotten to add the whiskey. Paul was our waiter and service was poor at best. He forgot to put in the order for our burger as we didn't get our food for 35 minutes and tables sat around us seated after us were all eating. He had the kitchen rush it so it ended up coming out extremely well done. We could only stomach eating half of it and only managed that as we were starving. I sat here thirsty for most of the meal. It's a pricy tourist trap with many better options. If you are wanting a t-shirt just buy the shirt and eat someplace else. So, I typically don't write reviews for chain restaurants, but Hard Rock Dublin hit the ball out of the park every time. By our second day in Dublin, we were struggling to find food that didn't make our stomachs turn and figured the Hard Rock would be a safe bet. We were right. I would have killed for chicken fingers and slider burgers by our 10th day too, but alas we were no longer in Dublin. Our waitress, Martina, was so kind and personable and remembered us after our first time there (which I will say was slightly embarrassing but she was great). Like all Hard Rocks, it was definitely on the pricey side, but it's solid food and you know what to expect when you're here. read more

In my family it is a tradition to go to Hard Rock Cafe where ever in the world we are visiting. This Hard Rock had some amazing decor (a lot of neon), and friendly staff. The reason I can't give it a full 5 stars is because of how loud the music was. I couldn't even talk to the person next to me without screaming the whole time. The food was up to par with the rest of the Hard Rocks that I have been too. I personally had the nachos and they were quite good. Everyone else at the table ask really enjoyed their food to the point of not needing to/go boxes because there was nothing left. The drinks were well balanced (not too hard but still had a kick), and the staff was extremely kind. Made sure we were happy and checked in on us several times. I by no means wish to suggest that the standard of memerobilia isn't as high as in some of its other branches - it does have Bono`s sunglasses, a favourite shirt of Elvis's and a jacket owned by Madonna - but a rug owned by Jimi Hendrix? I mean really, what's next for the wall of fame? A radiator key owned by Kurt Cobain? A cushion sat on by Lindsay Lohan? However, the food on offer is just as good if not better than in the other Hard Rocks around the world - it must be the Irish beef - with all the items you might expect, including chicken wings, burgers, steaks, fajitas and ribs. A good place for someone on the Atkins diet, as long as you stay away from those loaded potato skins. read more

We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe in Dublin. And I think this is even my very first time I ate in any Hard Rock Cafe, now that I think of it. Anyways, we went there late one night and it wasnt crowded so we got a seat right away. Our server was pretty aloof and just an average server. We ordered chicken nachos to share and it took a while to get our nachos and when we finally did. We didnt get chicken on it. So, I asked the server if I could get slices of grilled chicken on the side. When the chicken came out, it was very tasty and the seasoning was very good. I was pretty impressed by it. The nachos was mediocre and the price for the chicken nachos was I believed overprice. I think we ended up paying at least 15-17 Euro for our nachos, ouch. read more

I chose the Hard Rock because we wanted the reliability of a chain, but didn't want to have to go for fast-food. How to begin... After a long morning of walking around I needed to use the ladies room. As I walked past the servers prep area a waiter and waitress were in the middle of a lovers quarrel. Fantastic! Super professional! Of course the waitress was ours. She was distracted taking our orders and the drinks were slow coming. I asked to have the children's food brought with the appetizers. The kids were done eating by the time our appetizers arrived. Their hotdogs were good, but the chips were cold and soggy. Finally our appetizers arrived. No complaints. They were actually delicious hence the one star rating. Then we sat staring at each other wondering if we'd just imagined ordering our meals. A second round of drinks was ordered at this point which would never come. By the time the food came it was inedible. The pulled pork was cold and as dry as a bone on a soggy bun. The veggie burger was mushy and cold. The hamburgers had been cremated. Clearly the food had been sitting under the lamps for far too long. It was just gross. We were sitting on a platform and when our waitress caught my eye from the steps eight feet away to confirm we were satisfied, she scampered off after giving me a smile and a nod. I tried to wave her over, but she was gone. She didn't even have the courtesy to come to our table and ask if everything was okay. If she had I would have let her know the food was BAD! The drinks we'd ordered with the appetizers still hadn't arrived when we'd all had enough of the food and couldn't force down another bite. The waitress was standing at a table of young women talking animatedly. We tried to get her attention to the point one member of our party got up from the table and stood next to her. He canceled the round of drinks and asked for the check. I was so furious at this point I went up to the hostess and asked to speak to the manager. After insisting on speaking to the manager - I really had to INSIST!!! There was no way that waitress was going to get the manager unless she really had to - I went back to the table. The manager arrived and VOILA! Our waitress was suddenly very interested in our table. I let the manager know as the waitress stood there that she should be fired. I've received a lot of poor service and been served a lot of bad meals in my life, but this took the cookie. The long and short of it is we didn't have to pay. Again worthy of one star. Avoid the Hard Rock Cafe Dublin. It's expensive and the food is awful. The waitstaff is inattentive and rude. I didn't walk in the door for an exceptional dining experience. I don't know about this place. I've yet to have a good experience here. The food is average and over priced. Very few veggie options, which is a shame. Steak is coming in on €28, sandwiches, SANDWICHES are €17 and €18. I feel like this place is definitely aimed at tourists but it's extortion. The food does not warrant the prices, it's way too noisy, the service is slow and I will never, in my life, pay €17 for a sandwich again. What was I thinking? I've had the cocktails, which were okay. The barman was trying to push large ones on us, which I assume was just to make more money, which irritates the life out of me. Then huffed when we asked for regular ones. I should start by admitting that my wife and father-in-law are Pin heads and we frequent Hard Rock cafes whenever we travel. As far as by Hard Rock standards go, this one does pretty well. The fare is the standard menu offered at most locations (Burgers, Chops, Sandwiches, etc.) Not the cheapest burger in town, but mine was good, properly cooked (hard to find sometimes) and filling. My wife's chicken tenders and pasta were pretty good too. Exactly what we expected from the usual choices. What set this visit apart was the service. A major shout out to our server Richie. Far and away the best service we have had at any Hard Rock, and probably one of the best servers we've had ever. Well done. If you're feeling peckish for American fare, it's hard to do more American than this (ironic for a chain started in London). read more

One would think "You've seen one Hard Rock, you've seen them all" but I liked the Dublin Hard Rock more than some of the others. I think my preference has to do with the staff. Irish people are so friendly by nature, that I felt we received extra good service from the bartender and our dinner server. The wait for a table was about an hour, so my brother and I had drinks downstairs in the bar. I ended up ordering a "Baby Guiness" by mistake, and our bartender was more than happy to replace it with what I did want; a "Half Guiness" (a Baby Guiness is a shot, whereas I just wanted a mini version of the pints everyone else was drinking). As busy as it was, he laughed and joked with us. The Olympics were playing on the plasma screen behind him, so he took the time to explain the sport going on at the moment (it was a cross between women's Lacrosse and hockey). He then made us 2 yummy cocktails from the happy hour menu. Not that making us drinks wasn't part of his job, but they were good and string; not the watered down version one usually gets from a happy hour cocktail. When it was time for dinner, I ordered the mac-n-cheese. The server warned that it'd be small (but very delicious), so I was in for a surprise when I was too much for me to finish. I loved how rich and gooey it was, filled with a couple different cheeses. All-n-all, we had a really good time and thoroughly enjoyed our food, the service and the drinks. To start with, The Hard Rock Cafe is not the sort of place I would normally frequent. It's the kind of big multinational corporation that pretends top be edgy and rocky purely to boost their bottom line. But I am not letting that taint this review. A couple of weeks ago I performed at a charity show in the Hard Rock Cafe in Temple Bar. The charity was the Pinktober Breast Cancer awareness charity. The HRC people to good care of us, they fed us, and kept us in beer. The Food was good, what you would expect and to a good quality. And the staff were really nice, all of them from the bar staff, the restaurant staff and the sound engineering staff. These guys made us feel special, even though my band are an amateur band full of old guys like me, among others. The stars I give above are for the food, the staff, the charity and the venue, and I am not letting my own cynicism get in the way. read more

I have only been to the Hard Rock Cafe for the special party breakfasts they arrange for the kids. I have been here for the Easter and Halloween breakfast and am waiting with excitement for the Christmas breakfast!! We were treated to a lovely breakfast but the entertainment, games and treats provided are second to none....would highly recommend a visit to one of these brilliant events. My husband and I, along with my parents, came here on our first night in Dublin. The place was right next to our hotel and we were tired and very hungry; convience wins. To be quick the drinks: 5:5 food: 4:5 atmosphere: 4:5 noise level: 2:5 staff/speed: 3:5 quanity of food: 4:5 Overall, Ireland serves less food per plate then America does....no surprise there. However, the portions arent tiny either. The fahitas were good, the wings were ok. They also have this drink called Orange Crush..its good. What I didnt like was how loud it got. Being in Temple Bar and also being a Hard Rock cafe, I wasnt surprised..just tired and cranky. I really didnt like how this place forced to to wait downstairs at their bar even though they had tables ready for seating. I guess they were hopeing that the tourists would buy some drinks and apps while they waited. It was good, not great. We decided to come back the next night as well after searchign the area for a different place and not finding what we were looking for. Hard Rock is Hard Rock. It's charm lies in the fact that the moment you walk in, you could be in Time Square or Tokyo, and the menu would fain show you the difference (except perhaps in language). All the staples are to be found in the Dublin branch, though it has to be admitted that the prices are expensive even by Irish standards. However, the car from a U2 video hanging from the ceiling makes a trip inside worthwhile...how in the world they managed to get it up there is up for debate, but impressive nonetheless! The merchandise, so important to the Hard Rock brand, is exactly what you expect, with the Dublin-specific pieces generally adorned with a smattering of shamrocks, just in case tourists are afraid that there wouldn't be 'Irish' themes enough. The queues are, of course, legendary at the Hard Rock Cafe. Dublin is no exception, though generally you will only wait on a Friday or Saturday night, and then for usually no longer than an hour or so at worst (London patrons will be green with envy...I've been told to wait 4 hours in that establishment!!). There are drinks promotions (€3.50 pints, €5 cocktails) that make the wait bearable, and a trip to the bar is fun in and of itself. Plonk yourself on one of the outside tables and watch the best that Temple Bar has to offer saunter past, or sit inside and have a look at the famous and infamous people who adorn the walls. Comme tout les hard rock cafe: on retrouve l'ambiance propre à chaque hard rock cafe de la chaîne avec cependant une deco' adapter bien souvent au "pays hôte" ce qui dans ce cas présent est......U2 évidemment !! Donc si vous voulez voire quelques manuscrits de chanson, une voiture ayant servis lors de l'une de leur tournées mondiale ainsi que les fameuse lunettes de Bono (bulgarie pour ceux qui ont toujours voulus savoir la marque, plus chère que ton dîner...) vous êtes au bonne endroits. La nourriture ? Pas besoin d'épiloguer, c'est un peu près la même chose que j'ai pus retrouver à Paris: AMÉRICAINE ! ce qui se traduit donc par une quantité importante ou le diététique est largement mis de côté (mais bon si t'es en train de me lire je ne pense pas que ce soit après avoir taper "resto' minceur a Dublin" ^^) Dernier point important: l'amabilité commune à tout les HRC malgré un anglais bon mais néanmoins incomplet (bah oui l'explication d'un burger c'est rarement expliquer par ta prof au collège :p) nous avons eu affaire à une véritable patience et bienveillance de la part du perso' (aussi bien de la serveuse que la "dame des réservations, en passent par la vendeuse de t-shirt) En somme: dans la continuité de toute les HRC le côté irlandais en plus ! read more
