The machines are rarely out of order and the entire facility is so clean. And I'm sorry, but I'm going to gatekeep my favorite class because it's always full already - but the classes offered are great! Overall, I love and recommend Chuze. My only complaints can be found in the women's bathroom. Whoever designed the doors to open into the stalls and be long enough to almost touch the toilet needs to be fired. You literally have to side step the toilet and stand in the corner to open/close the door when in the stall. And while I appreciate warm water for effective handwashing, the water in the sinks is pulled straight from the core of the earth and is always scorching hot.

Dear, Management & Customer Experience Team, Chuze Fitness Tucson Mall…read moreI am writing to share feedback regarding my experience at the Tucson Mall location (4619 N Oracle Rd). I have been a member of Chuze Fitness and regularly visit the Grant & Craycroft location, where the employees are always polite, welcoming, and treat every member equally.  Unfortunately, my experience at the Tucson Mall location has been consistently disappointing due to the behavior of the front desk staff. When entering the gym, the employees at the front desk frequently ignore me. Recently, as I walked in, an employee standing near the entrance actively turned away to look at his phone instead of greeting me. Directly in front of me, staff actively acknowledged and said goodbye to another member, but completely ignored me as I entered and exited. This selective greeting creates an environment that feels unwelcoming and dismissive. Every paying member deserves to be treated with equal courtesy and basic respect, regardless of background or appearance. Chuze Fitness promotes a inclusive, community-focused environment, but the behavior at the Tucson Mall front desk does not reflect those standards. I hope management addresses front-desk professionalism with the team so all members receive equal, polite treatment upon entering.  Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback.

I only ever use the weights, never tried out any of the other amenities nor used the locker rooms or bathrooms. Boundless options for equipment, never really too busy (when I moved to the U of A rec center I was shocked to learn it was normal for people to wait in lines for equipment!). One star off because cancelling my membership was like fitting a camel into the eye of a needle.

They blame the rubber mats and tell me they just blow under the rack. It smells like rotting flesh, they refuse to do anything about it. Ive never complained on this app ever, but it's disgusting how much the employees dont care about their gym's hygiene. The young janitor is great, but thats not his cleaning area according to management, their night janitor is not being properly informed. Its been 2 months now before I decided to post this as its only gotten worse. You can see so much dust and years of filth on lat pull down machines near the seating, barbell seat areas, mats aren't cleaned near the squat racks. Management just smiles and nods their heads and just focuses on getting the monthly schedule done each month.

This facility claims to be a "disease management facility," but there are no physicians. There are…read moreno registered dieticians. There are only PAs and a single nutrition specialist (CNC), who acts as their "medical director." Their diet is nothing more than a bare-bones high-protein low carb diet with little detail. Their claim that the diet is personalized to the individual is probably not true. The same diet plan is most likely given to everyone, regardless of their medical condition, although I cannot prove that. Their "proprietary" manual (the one I had to sign an NDA for!) is nothing more than a short pamphlet and diet plan anyone could have constructed in an afternoon with Google, Microsoft Word, and a printer. Their claims about weight loss, improved cholesterol and lowered blood pressure are similar to those made by most commercial diets. And finally, their medical testing - the aspect of the operation that is supposed to differentiate them from being just a diet - amounts to no more than a few routine labs and an ECG. All this is not to say that this diet does not help some people lose weight. Atkins-like diets work and some comments on this forum attest to that. It is just that the facility is not what it purports to be; and is therefore misrepresenting itself to patients, physicians, and to insurance providers - especially to Medicare -which we all pay for.
