A group of my buddies -- we call ourselves the GCBs (Grove City Boys) -- got together for dinner, laughs, and a night out. When we arrived, the restaurant was about half full, and we were greeted quickly by our server. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name because we were all busy talking and catching up, but service was friendly and attentive right from the start. For food, I ordered the battered chicken tenders with honey mustard and fries, and another guy at the table got the same. One buddy went with chicken wings, another had a great-looking burger topped with an egg, one ordered the Asian crunch salad, and another got the fish and chips. The food came out fast, and everyone really enjoyed their meals. The only downside was the fish and chips, which were a bit overcooked and kind of hard -- but everyone else was happy with what they ordered. As a special surprise, the staff brought out a warm brownie with vanilla ice cream and sang Happy Birthday to me, which was a really nice touch and totally unexpected. Checks were cashed out promptly, and then we were off to do a little gambling. If you're looking for upscale bar food, this is definitely your kind of place. They also have large tables, which makes it great for groups. Overall, it was a good experience -- and hey, we even won some money! A great early birthday celebration. We'll definitely be back.

The lettuce was slimy and enedible. I took one bite and put it to the side. I let our server know, thankfully she offered me french fries and took the upcharge back off my bill. It was nice to have dinner and then go to the casino floor and listen to the Friday night band. It is a good way to spend a Friday evening.

Having just moved to Columbus I had no idea where it was located, but fortunately I could use my phone for directions. It is located in an area called Hungarian Village on the south side. It is a local tavern and from the outside it doesn't look like it might have wonderful food, but don't let that fool you. It reminds me of ittle local taverns in my home town, Youngstown, OH. The people inside (patrons) and the bartender couldn't have been nicer!!! I have issues walking so I use a walking stick and everyone offered to help me. Now to the highlight. I had read reviews of a BACONNJAM BUGER that sounded terrific, so I ordered a Jam burger for my wife and one for myself. My wife commented that this was one of the very best burgers she has ever had (that is saying something because we both are in our late 70's). I thought the same thing. It was not nearly as large as other burgers we have had a places (like Son of Thurman, etc.), but the taste, oh my goodness, the taste! We live at the opposite end of Columbus in Worthington, otherwise I would want Eight and Sand to be my local refuge!

A nice layer on there, adding some sweetness and saltiness, but not overwhelming. Blended well with everything else. There are several other appealing burgers on the menu, and I am interested in what their specials are since this one looked good, so I'm sure I'll be back.

Decent prices, big portions, huge selection of snacks and drinks. Paid at self-serve. Get their card; the app is a pain but the card gets you easy discounts. Clean. Big for a convenience store. Handy. If you're near here, take your pick; the other one is a mile or two up the road and on the other side, so maybe one is handy on the way to work and the other on the way home?
