While others had beer and fountain drinks, I had the Kansas Sunset Cocktail and it was very refreshing for the Hot Humid Kansas weather! Seeing that portions were huge, we passed on appetizers and went straight to the Main entrees. Ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich, Chicken Friend Steak Dinner, and the Barnyard Battle Dinner. Those pies was a delicious way to top our dining experience. I was told it was the owner's mom's recipe, and it's a MUST have! Highly recommend if ever you find yourself on HWY 59 in Ottawa, KS! The restaurant may be easily missed from the highway because it's behind the Shell Gas Station. The parking lot is gravel but plenty. It also appears they are expanding the front outwards that you just have to go through it to get to the entrance.
