***Overall 3.75***…read more As far as malls go, this mall in Salinas is up my alley because it's not too big (like the one in Santa Clara!), not too small or empty (like the one in Capitola and many seaside ones), and not super riddled with high end stores where I end up window-shopping and don't actually buy anything. Northridge Mall has the stores I like and also has eateries too. There is plenty of parking, cute holiday decor, and a HUUUGE entertainment area (arcade, bowling), including the largest room with claw machines I had ever seen in my life! This is sadly the era of "shopping mall deaths" with everyone veering towards online shopping, so I am glad to see Northridge Mall populated with stores and doing well. I hope it sticks around.

The first time they told me children weren't allowed and then, most recently, they told my mother-in-law that they were going on lunch at 3 PM, and the kids had to leave, but then they never closed the store. This unwelcoming attitude doesn't build a strong buy local community. This is discrimination and it should not be tolerated in our downtown Salinas community. The sales clerk saw me walking towards that area. She asked right away if she can help and get me a room. As she opens the door- she told me if I need different sizes or needed any help to let her know. As I'm trying things on, I did need different sizes. I opened the door and waved her over. She came right away with a great attitude. She grabbed me what I needed and stayed close. I opened the door and she was right there to help. I told her I think I needed a different size again. She said she looked at all sizes but can order online for me and make sure it gets here on time for my event in a couple days. She reinsured me if I didn't like it, I could return it. She was really positive and made this process so easy. I asked her name, she said Cat with a big smile. and guess what came in today, just in time for my event. Cat made me feel really comfortable with this purchase, made me feel great with my outfit choice. She was extremely helpful and attentive. I will continue shopping here especially with her in the store. Thank you, CAT!
