I interviewed several companies for our complete backyard remodel, and it was apparent from the beginning that Sean was the best. He came up with a creative design for our backyard that provided more privacy; an entertainment space with a bar, tv, fire pit; and an outdoor kitchen. He asks questions to understand what your needs are and how you envision yourself using your yard to come up with a 3-D rendering of your ideal space. Sean has an eye for design and thinks of the big picture and the small details. We had to wait several months for the crew to start, but in my mind that was a good sign that Envirogreen was well sought after. They were worth the wait! Envirogreen has their own crews, instead of a bunch of subcontractors. Their crew, led by Abraham, was punctual, reliable, and hardworking. They showed up 5-6 days a week and worked long days until our project was complete. This kind of work ethic and reliability is so rare these days. Sean communicated with us throughout the entire process and his insights allowed us to make some decisions to improve the original plan as needed (i.e.- installed one bigger propane tank to serve our smoker, grill, fire pit, and indoor stove instead of added another smaller one). We began by ripping out existing plants, pavers, brown gravel, and artificial turf for both a putting green and a general use area. We started by building a pool (a cheap plug for Dolphin Pools who did an amazing job). After the pool was completed, the second half of the project was ready to begin. This is where Colorworks stepped up to the plate. I could not begin this without mentioning one of the owners, "Jon Hammel". Colorworks Landscape Design, Inc. received rave reviews on Google and Yelp, so we reached out and were promptly scheduled for a complimentary estimate. Upon Jon's arrival, I could sense his excitement and creativity as he envisioned transforming our dream backyard into the upgraded space we desired. Although we had a plan in place, Jon skillfully incorporated his unique ideas, resulting in a comprehensive rendering of the project. We were immediately convinced that Colorworks was the ideal choice for our project. What truly set Jon apart was his unwavering honesty and thoughtful approach to refining our existing plan, ensuring that it reached its full potential. I want to clearly state that there are many stages to such a massive project. There are always going to be delays, and we had a few. Additional parts needed to be ordered, and of course, the weather did not always agree (lots of rain). Since our backyard is not the largest, every inch of the project required attention, and Jon fully comprehended that. The project included 3 large retaining walls, 164 Sq ft. of pearlescent travertine, 18 Indian laurel ficus trees with 6 tons of topsoil, 450 sq ft. of Daytona 80 0z turf, 4 stoned columns on a pergola, a wood accent backdrop for pots, and white rocks. This also included taping into existing irrigation drip, electrical lines, and reusing leftover pavers in other areas. Jon (along with our ideas) was the brains of the project, but Cesar Aldama is the contractor who brought it all together. Cesar, along with Ginato, is an excellent team. They showed up on time and worked tirelessly each day, and consistently cleaned up before they left. They always treated our home with respect, and we couldn't help but notice. Cesar is an expert in construction projects and possesses extensive knowledge in the field. My wife, being meticulous and OCD, wanted perfection in the job. Cesar meticulously coordinated with us on every aspect of the project, providing valuable advice on what could and couldn't be done. He is truly an artist, and we couldn't thank him and Ginato enough. The straightforward truth is that Colorworks fulfilled their promise! I can't forget to mention other members of the team that did amazing work: Jeff (owner), Mark, Manny (Turf installer and his awesome crew). I do not recommend . the owner said he was going to be the one doing the work but he was not. He…read morebrought other people to do it and they did it all half ass. They did not everything underneath the self leveling. They did not even sweep before putting down self leveling or the mortar before the tile. And they leveled the living room, but not the bathroom and I had waterproofing put down which, for some reason left spots on the floor that were high and low, and none of those were taken off before tile was put down and so my tile has high and low spots. And then I asked for epoxy grout and they put in urethane grout. I asked why he said he figured I just didn't know what I was talking about with the epoxy. Yet Did didn't give me any of my money back for him doing it wrong. Also left a ton of haze over the tiles. Which is a pain in the ass to get off a month later. And when the crew did the caulking on top of the baseboards, it was at least an inch of the wall, which looks funny when you have a dark wall and then white caulking smeared . There was many other things wrong, but I don't feel like putting it all It would take too long But When I had concerns, the owner did come in and try to fix part of them himself, but in the end it wasn't done right anyway by his crew. And I would not use them again.
