This place is a nightmare! Do not rent here, you will regret it. They will not make repairs. The pool has been out of order for 4 months. The staff lies and tells people they are waiting for a part. I know that is a bold face lie. They don't want to spend the money to fix it. A bunch of residents are calling the Greystar to try to get results. I doubt that will help. I moved out. 0 stars out of 5! I have a CPO license and have been working as the Director of Engineering for hotels. If that's true, what part for the pool are you waiting for that requires over 4 months to obtain? read more

Love this apartment complex! It's so safe I used to walk around and night. It is so cozy in the winter not to mention their infinity pool is to die for! People walk their dogs around here and a perk is that nearby they have the sunroom coffee which is an amazing coffee spot. read more

I've lived here for a couple years but I have to travel a lot and haven't been here in a bit. Every time I'm back hi E I'm in heaven! I'm at the gym right now and it is BY FAR the best gym I've been to. I always get the best workout here. Better than any other place I've gone to. And I have been to 100's of gyms. It has everything you would need and more! It's clean and not crowded. Not to mention the apartments are epic! The common areas are better than a high end hotel... The best ever. It took me 6 months to pick an apartment complex. As a busy executive, I wanted the perfect atmosphere, community and support. I toured every building with a common area and pool in the SLC area. When I walked into hardware and met Jonathan, I knew I was home. I told him that day that they were by far my favorite. I continued to tour and continued to believe that! Jonathan was amazing. He knew exactly what I was looking for and he kept me updated. As soon as my ideal choices opened he let me know and was extremely patient as I passed things by due to travel and other personal reasons. When we pulled the trigger, he walked hand in hand with me through the process (it's been a long time since I lived in an apartment) and he made move in so easy! He was patient w me as I forgot how to do certain things or asked dumb questions because I was too busy to read all the incoming information. He made my moving day super convenient and easy. I can not say enough good things about him and hardware is lucky to have him! Hardware itself is an incredible community and the perks are lengthy. They have amazing common areas which make you feel like you are living in a mansion. The people I've met who live there have been nothing short of friendly and welcoming. And the location is over the top with a top coffee shop, restaurants and a full grocery within blocks. I'm so happy in my choice! read more

The Hardware apartment management is full of liars and horrible people. They constantly ignore issues when you bring them up asking for things to be fixed. They do not care when you bring these items to their attention. Horrible place. The top manager treats people terribly. She is a deplorable human being and she will not take any accountability for her staff's conduct. DO NOT MOVE THERE!!! You will be sorry. Everyone I spoke to said pretty much the same thing and had the same problems. They were all waiting until their lease was up so they could escape. I did the same. I loved living at Hardware. Everything about it was amazing. The 4 star instead of 5 is because of Alek Hernandez. He is rude and so disrespectful. He lives on a high horse and talks down to people. He is not a warm and inviting person with a listening ear. Please get rid of him. Everyone else is so kind and helpful but not alek. My good friend lives here and now i am jealous just because of the amenities. The have a infinity pool on the rooftop and a huge hot tub filled with beautiful people. The lobby is gorgeous with fireplace and thick wood and leather furnishings. It is better then living in a hotel. The apartments arent big but i have only looked at the one bedrooms. Is it worth the high rent? Yeah if you use the gym and go to yoga classes, use the big screen lounge rooms with kitchens and pool table. You see where i'm going with this? Location is not Capital Hill but west side. It's by the bridge that takes you to Red Iguana. For this reason I would never live here but love to visit! read more

I "upgraded apartments" after I initially moved into what I was led to believe was a 1 bedroom, that was really just a lofted studio with no walls around the bedroom. The second apartment was the perfect layout for my needs but the day I got the keys the nightmare began, the apartment was so filthy they had to send a cleaning company not once, not twice but 3 times to get the smells, lingering goop and other disgust taken care of. the fridge was broken, the washer and dryer were both broken, the toilets have continued to back up every other month since we have been in this apartment. The garbage disposal was so disgusting they had to replace it. I have continued to have problem after problem here to the point of just waiting out the rest of my lease to vacate. Management has been awful to deal with, the head property manager refused to help with any financial mitigation when I had to deal with all these issues for almost 3 months, and now just a few months later the same issues are popping up over and over. Never rent from Greystar, they're the worst. The building is beautiful from afar but the construction is far from quality and the maintenance staff is overwhelmed and over worked. I live in the courtyard level and people let their dogs poop right outside my apartment and no one cleans it up. At one point is smelled like rotting vomit outside my front door for several weeks. Management promised to do better moving forward but I was left to live with a ---- storm from previous tenants & poor construction that just won't quit. read more

Amazing place to live and call home. I have not seen anything like this in salt lake city, the style and detail to this community is something from a dream! SALT has raised the bar to a new level with this build. Living here is such a dream, I love my gym and after a good work out, I go to the rooftop sauna to finish off. on sunny days I grill on the rooftop and swim in the AMAZING full year-round heated pool. pictures really do not do this place any justice, you will have to come in and take a look for yourself. If you like luxury and are looking for a place in salt lake, look no further. Hardware is the best place to be. read more

I live in the Hardware Apartments. I went online today and put in 2 service orders for my garbage disposal and the toilet seat. To my surprise, 10 minutes later I receive a phone call and the maintenance man asked if now would be a good time to come and fix the issues. 3 minutes later there was a knock on my door and 2 really nice personable young men (Drew and Blake I think were their names) came in totally fixed both problems in 10 minutes. Asked if there was anything else they could do for me. Totally impressed. From work order request to fixed issues was 25 min from start to finish. Thank you so much!! read more

I'm writing this review as a current, soon to be former, resident. The pros of Hardware Village: Attractive public areas Attentive and friendly leasing staff Professional and responsive security staff High quality gym The cons of Hardware Village: Very poor sound proofing, there was so little attention paid to between floor sound insulation that you can hear the tenant below you walking in their apartment (I'm on the top floor). The amenities that they'll tout on your tour need to be reserved and paid for with expensive fees if you'll have more than two guests at the same time. The guest parking is nearly non-existent during the week. The developers of the property use the building as their office and thy are quite unfriendly from my interactions It's a constant construction site for several more months with the new building being built next door and there's debris and things for your car to run over all over the place. Slow response time to service requests; my "upgraded" refrigerator has been vibrating so loudly that you have to raise your voice to have a conversation and it hasn't been addressed after 3 calls. So, if you have a family (kids), or don't want to tip toe around your own home, I would avoid this property. For all the fancy looking upgrades, it's still a wood frame property that invested very little in sound proofing. It's one of the more expensive apartment buildings in Utah and not worth the premium they charge. If you're single and don't mind constant footstep noise then the gym and pool really are spectacular. read more

I recently relocated to SLC from San Diego and needed to line up housing rather quickly before departing SD, which didn't allow for me to tour any complexes in person. I worked with Tais in the leasing office and was pretty nervous/anxious about the commitment I was making without seeing the property, neighborhood, etc. Tais completely understood and handled everything in a way that put me at ease. She provided me multiple videos of different available units and exercised what must have been great patience when dealing with my many questions over many phone calls and emails. This is a large luxury complex that undoubtedly requires much from its staff on a daily basis, but I never felt that way. I felt important, appreciated, and as though I were the only person that needed something on the days that I called ... a ridiculous notion given the size of this operation, but that's just how professional and courteous Tais was with me. I was literally looking for any reason to not sign the lease ... anything at all that felt off and she never provided it. I signed and am thrilled I did ... this place is AMAZING! I truly feel lucky to be living here. Tais is absolutely wonderful, but it definitely seems like the entire staff is equal to the task of keeping this complex in the impressive shape it's in. The one star rating is solely based on the management team. As a current resident, I am appalled with how little the management team seems to care about their residents. For example, my boyfriends car was broken into (while parked in the building garage) and when I called to report it they simply said "sorry that happened to you, please file a police report." This isn't the first break in and there have been several reports/complaints regarding people getting into the garage that do not live here, however, management does not seem to care enough to do anything about it. Now we are currently dealing with our air conditioning being broken (going on day 5) and once again the lack of care or communication has been absolutely horrible. When I called Friday to report it, I was told that our maintenance request was not on the schedule for the day and that it was only an emergency if it was above 90 degrees. First of all, are you kidding me?! Secondly, it was high 90s and when we did finally have someone come look at it, nothing could be done until the weekend. It is now Tuesday evening and we still do not have AC and the fact that we have to constantly ask for updates instead of being called is beyond ridiculous. For residents that pay about $3,400 a month you think a simple call to update when you can expect working AC isn't asking for much! Management really needs to get it together. I highly recommend looking else where. read more

Management is extremely helpful and genuinely cares about finding the perfect apartment for you. I worked with Alek and he worked really hard to take care of everything very quickly and stress free. The place is absolutely gorgeous with so many beautiful amenities. Extremely clean and beautiful design. I absolutely recommend this apartment to anybody looking in downtown.
