I used to think this was a great place to live, but things have changed significantly under the new management (Tiffany Hughes). In my experience, the atmosphere and overall quality have gone downhill very quickly. I hope management takes residents' concerns seriously and works to improve the community. read more

I lived here for two years, and if I could rate Post zero stars I would (except for Kade and Hailey, they were both great!). The first year things were overall pretty good, enough to stay another year, but that's when things went downhill, with the grand finale of Post erroneously charging me over $4,000 in "early termination fees" when I gave notice! If you want to read more, here are some of the issues I faced: - I transferred apartments for my second year and they messed up the move-in date. They called me on the date I was supposed to move and said it wasn't ready but would be the next day. - Spoiler alert, the apartment wasn't ready when I moved in. Sticky floors, cat litter and pet hair on the baseboards/floor, sticky cooking residue in the kitchen and spices still in a drawer, water damage to one of the windows in the living room & the kitchen floor, door knobs falling off the closet, etc. - I gave a 60+ day notice because I wasn't certain what my plans were for the future. I was charged more than $4,000 in "early termination fees," which was automatically taken from my account on the 2nd of June, causing overdraft + interest fees. I didn't get that money back until the 29th June. I wasn't terminating early, just giving notice. - I had a bird living in the vent above my head for the last three months of my lease. At first, maintenance told me it was "dryer lint" or something else, but eventually put up a game cam and caught the bird on camera. They put mesh in the pipes somewhere, but the bird was still living there when I moved out. - I paid for a reserved parking spot and people consistently parked in my spot. When I tried to get them removed, the towing company said I needed management approval, but it was after hours, so no one could approve it. - People (without plates or placards) are constantly parked in the handicap spots, leaving those spots unavailable to residents and guests who need them. - there are doors on the property that were broken for over a year (before my second year of leasing, and still broken at my move out). - pet owners don't seem to respect the space, as there is often pee in the lobbies or the elevator floor, or right outside the main entrances, including the day I moved out. read more

I've lived at Post District and have had an unresolved issue for over a year and a half that management has failed to properly address. My unit does not have a functioning washer and dryer. Despite multiple repair attempts, the machine has never worked as it should. I have personally gone to the leasing office more than 10 times asking for a real solution. Instead of receiving help, I've been told that I "don't know how to do laundry" -- despite doing my own laundry since I was 13. This is not user error, it's a failure to resolve an ongoing maintenance issue. Cade and Iggy at the leasing office have heard my complaints repeatedly, as the new manager Michelle is apparently always too busy to address the situation. I've been promised return calls multiple times that never came, and there has been no meaningful follow-through. Most recently under Michelle's management, I was presented with what was described to me as "$100 to cover dinner for the inconvenience." It was framed casually, but was actually a "settlement agreement." If Post District reviews their own security footage, they will clearly hear me ask multiple times before signing whether this meant I was agreeing that the issue was resolved. I specifically stated that I was not signing anything that meant the problem was fixed, and was assured that was not the case. That same document is now being referenced by Michelle in email threads as leverage to avoid providing a real solution. The only "solutions" I have been offered are either continuing to live with a machine that takes over 8 hours to dry clothes, or paying out of my own pocket to have the appliance removed and a new one installed. Asking a resident to fund a basic appliance replacement in a unit they already pay rent for is unreasonable. On top of that, after my one year lease ended, I informed the office that I wanted to renew for another 9 months. Because I never received a new agreement via email, I assumed the lease had been updated. Instead, I later discovered I had been charged month to month rates for three months with no warning while my account was on autopay. This lack of communication and transparency was extremely frustrating. It's disappointing because things seemed to operate differently before the previous manager Tiffany left. Since Michelle took over, the handling of this situation has become significantly worse. Corporate should seriously look into how management practices at Post District have changed. If you are paying this level of rent, having a working washer and dryer should be the bare minimum. If having an apartment team that genuinely cares about your living conditions and well being matters to you, I suggest looking elsewhere. Don't be deceived by the appearance of amenities like the pool. Responsive management and basic functionality matter far more. read more

We moved in expecting a clean, modern space and professional community. What we got was a building overrun with dogs, negligent maintenance, and no regard for tenant health. The picture speak for themselves: dog urine in the elevator, poop in the hallways, and wet paw prints tracked through public areas--sometimes for hours or days with no cleanup from staff. If you're allergic to dogs, have standards for hygiene, or value peaceful, professional surroundings--look elsewhere. I had a severe allergy attack and needed to be rushed to the emergency room after a neighbor aired out a rug from their window, sending dust, fur and allergens directly into ours. There was no warning, no notice, and no accountability. This building is not allergy-friendly, pet-managed, or hygienic. This place was sold as luxury. It's not. It's neglect with polished tile. It was marketed as a modern space for young professionals. But unless your idea of luxury is stepping in dog pee and having your health disregarded, I'd stay far away. read more

I came here for an event and got the opportunity to check out a lot of the amenities here, and see a model of one of the apartments. This place is NICE! It has a really cool community like feel. Almost as if it were like a college campus. There is a giant gym, one of the coolest pools I've ever seen, private study/meeting rooms, pool tables, tons of comfortable seating and more. If I were to be looking for an apartment to rent, this would be the place! read more

My boyfriend and I moved into Post District about half a year ago, and we have loved it here. The people who work here are so nice and are so on top of things, and the amenities are amazing. We came in knowing there would still be construction going on and the amenities not all finished for a bit, but that hasn't stopped us from really enjoying this place. They are also starting to host some really fun events here and the businesses here (Urban Sailor, Urban Hill, Level Crossing Brewery) are all really great and we are excited for more to move in. The residents whom we call neighbors are also really great people and we've loved getting to meet them! This will seriously be one of the coolest places to live in SLC when finished! read more

I don't post many reviews, but I am genuinely so upset. During my tour, I asked all the questions regarding security, rent, utilities, maintenance, and their availability as staff for residents. None of the answers I received were truthful. 1. Security Horrible security, they've changed it twice this year already because of how bad it gets, Post is right by the entrance of the freeway, which has a large unhoused community, and when I asked about that especially being a woman, living alone, and needing to walk to work, I was given a response as though this had BEEN resolved and not an issue for residents, and that people who aren't members of the Post district community are not typically seen in buildings-- this is just incorrect. Horrible security. If you are a woman living alone, this is not the place for you, unless you are at a place financially to spend an absurd amount on parking, never want to walk anywhere, etc. 2. Rent/Utilities If you are just starting out in your career or are not at a completely stable point financially, do not even think about renting the studio. Base rent is 1200, and I pay around 1500-1600/month. I literally don't even stay at my apartment anymore, and still pay around this, so I don't even know how much I'd pay if I were using all my stuff. They charge you for communal utilities, which is somehow more than the utilities you use. 3. Maintenance/Response time by staff No one gives a flying shiz if you are upset about anything. For the first week, they gave me the wrong mailbox key, and it took me calling them everyday for a week and receiving no response, and then go in and waiting until a staff member shows up (wait time was like 30 minutes), to tell them about this for them to fix their issue. They do not answer resident calls ever and if they do, they are so unhelpful and keep telling you to come in person when I get off work at the same time they do so i have no idea how they think this is possible However, a part of my agreement when I moved in was a $2000 gift card I never received, and everytime I call them about it they apologize and say ill get it soon, its been 2 months over due. I called them every day this week to talk about this and rent for this month, and not a single call was answered. They do not care about their residents. 4. Misc. Bothersome items. The location of this complex is horrible. While there are nice things directly downstairs, you're a 15-minute walk from the trax, and that trax you're walking to is already in the city, so you won't even need it anymore. The roof on the studio building is probably one of the most disgusting common areas I have ever seen, and I lived in student housing for 5 years. The windows on the studio building are not cleaned from the outside ever so if you tour and there are bird-poop stains everywhere, you best believe it will be the same throughout your time living there. I am so serious, this is the worst place I have ever lived. I pay more in rent, utilities, and media package than my friends who live IN the city, by main street. That is absurd!!! Every few months, Post District sends an automated email to residents to ask for feedback. Clearly, management does not care at all about responses because after 11 months of living here, nothing has improved. So here is my response with suggestions for everyone to see. ------------------- Refer to my google review. Sporadic communication from the leasing office at best. Most emails are never acknowledged. I sent my notice to vacate and never received a reply. This is beyond unprofessional. Ongoing issues with my latch lock that took over 8 months to fully resolve. Ongoing parking issues and changes to the parking policy without advance notice to residents (B1 used to be for residents only, now it's not, resulting in even more difficulties to park). This shouldn't be rocket science. Nobody expects perfection and it is understandable that issues will come up. But as of now, it feels like the leasing office is managed by people who are afraid to send out emails and communicate openly. Either that or directions from corporate dictate a certain behavior. Hard to tell. Be upfront, acknowledge issues as they arise, be transparent, admit shortcomings along with plans to come to a resolution. My prediction is that until deep changes occur in the culture of this apartment complex, residents will continue to leave as soon as their leases are up or seek to leave early. From talking to other residents in the elevator, this is by far the most common observation I have. read more

We had the opportunity to visit and receive a showing of the apartments and their amenities and I have mixed feelings about. First the positives. It's really close to I-15 which makes it easier to commute to and from SLC. Their living in spaces are a 2 room, 2 bath with an indoor washer and dryer unit and a really nice kitchen. Their 3rd floor amenities are incredible. Their gym is spacious and really well equipped and their pool space is both indoor and outdoor. The balconies are very nice and we met the property owners and they seem kind and open enough to listen to our thoughts. The negatives: when it comes to the bedrooms the blinds don't close all the way and we were able to see into the apartments across and they had a similar issue. There's not much privacy. What seemed to be the master bedroom has a bathroom that you can access via a sliding barn door which will not block out any sound or smells. The closet is also in the bathroom and will most likely gain smells since it's in the bathroom. The elevator to get up and access the building takes at least 15 min to wait for and it seems there's only one and the stairs isn't a very good option since the 2nd floor stairs doesn't seem to be connected to the floor. That's pretty scary. Also the stairwell doors are locked so if you forget your card or badge or whatever you need to access the doors, you're essentially trapped. Also the elevator seems to have locked down at a certain time and we could no longer access it by 9:30ish. People were trapped in the elevator last night from what I heard because the elevator stopped working at a certain time. These are the main concerns I would bring up if I wanted to rent here. read more

A few months ago my bike was stolen from the "secure" resident bike lockers. After weeks of trying to get someone in the office to actually do their job I was basically told tough luck and that I should just get a new bike and that it would be safe in the resident locker. Well thankfully I knew better than to listen to them because this week EVERY bike was stolen from the resident bike locker. They knew this could happen but blew it off and chose not to do anything about it, and these are the consequences of their laziness. I am not sure what they're doing in their offices all day but clearly nothing productive. Way to go Post District! read more

To start off, Kade our leasing agent is absolutely hands down is the best agent! He has sat with me and my boyfriend countless times explaining the lease and documents too many times to count and has always had patience. I have had the smoothest time with the move in process because of Kade! We move into 801 Flats on September 1st so I will leave a review after being moved in for some time...but so far I am so impressed by the staff, the units, and the community amenities! These are nice units and the nighborhood is promising, but there is no there there. Other than Urban Hill, the promised bars and restaurants are still "promised", with no signs of ever opening. Public transportation is not an otpion, and the developer has offered no shuttle service. Read your doc's carefully; the leasing agents tell fibs. Property maintenance and resident support are AWOL. In summary, they need to get their act together. read more

Update from a post months ago. First let me say the staff is pretty good. Other than that, I still cannot in good faith rate them higher than a 2. Additionally, if asked, I would NOT recommend moving there. Upon move out, I was nicked and dimed for normal wear and tear. $150 for a receptacle cover and patch work. $150 for Patch work....because I mounted a flat screen in the area THEY SET UP with studs. Additionally I was charged for touch up paint. What was my deposit for? I asked and waited two weeks for a response. To date, still no response. Everyday there was something wrong. Garage gates hardly ever worked. Most were broken off. Speaking of garage parking....i was charged $50 for not returning the RFID stickers. You know, the ones that crumble when removed and can't be reused. It's ridiculous! Constant issues with the hot tub, pool, gym to cold, no bathrooms in Register's roof top common area. Trash chutes regularly broken. There's more but you get the point. Paying $4300/mo, I expected better....way better. One last thing. The appliances are crap. Even in my "higher end building". BL- there's better out there. Don't move there. read more
