I'm impressed with the "Hardware Store" location being more tailored for locals. What I mean is that it's been interesting to watch the price increase across all the menu sections at their sister location, "Brix Project." My boy friend and I have been going for awhile and yes, the food is great and the beer even better... the total cost for two people to go out at Brix started to exceed our budget.. Well, again, we were both shocked that most the prices on the food items were normal at Hardware Store LOL. So here's my breakdown... ...The food 4/5: The grilled cheese came with chips for $5. The Buffalo chicken dip is where I felt a star came off because the portion is not even a cup for $9 -ouch- (I make a pretty good Buffalo chicken dip myself and know it doesn't cost but $10 to make for a lot of dip) I would've felt better paying $5-6 for the chicken dip. And the Beer ...5/5 the cranberry claus is divine with the marshmallows. My friend ordered hers with whipped cream rim and had a great time, so feel free to order it however you want it. The key lime was tart and sweet, as usual. Overall, Hardware Store is the place to go if you're looking for a drink and small bite. If you're of the Elon Musk budget Brix is good too. read more

This brewery is awesome! I had to make a trip after hearing great reviews. We arrived in the evening and almost missed the location. But when coming in, we were met with a very lit atmosphere with a long bar and 4 high tops. The brewing tanks are displayed and they offer tours. When arriving, we were given the menu which featured beers on tap, guest beers, their own crafted root beer, some food, and more bottled beer. I started with a flight and was surprised to see that it came with 5 glasses instead of 4. I had my selection and split a pressed tomato and mozzarella sandwich with my wife, which came with kettle chips, and was surprised with how good it was with the roasted tomatoes. They do have a great variety of food, but I think they serve more of a menu during the day, according to their website? If you're into trivia, they have trivia nights on Mondays from 7pm-9pm. Definitely worth a trip, I would like to come back and have some more of their beer due to how unique they were, especially their "bring it black" which was a black IPA. But my fave was the "Wonderland" as the citrus in it reminded me of Orange Blossom Pilsner. read more

Awesome brewery and very fun decor! It is in an old hardware store downtown so the interior is very cool. We had a couple of beer flights and all beers were delicious. I recommend the lemon rose or the playa cup. Their menu is mostly bar fare but so well done and delicious. We had the whipped feta dip and pretzel and you could see it was all made in house. This place stands still in time. There are so many positive aspects to this brewery that the fact that I am not 100% sold on their beer is almost irrelevant, and I say almost because "beer geeks" travel for beer and this beer will not make the top beers among the strictest of palates in the US (forget about the world). Then again, it is pretty good beer! How not to make it sound so bad? Here: if you give me a beer from Playalinda, I'll drink it. If you asked me to make a line to get it, forget about it. That is a pretty good general scenario for me... But (and with that said) ... this brewery is awesome. For a pretty big building, this brewery has a very good client base. Everyone knows each other by name, it's crazy. Plus, all generations come here. This brewery holds the Irish tradition of the pub, where the community goes to have dinner, talk about sports, hang out, I mean, to say that Playalinda Brewery is the heart of the community of Titusville may not be off target, I have seen this happen at other cities in the coasts of Florida. I like Playalinda because in one brushstroke, it gives you an accurate image of where you are. I really like being here in this spirit of camaraderie. The beertenders are very friendly, the staff is very nice also, the people is friendly and outgoing, it's fun. And that is not even talking about the building, which is/was a hardware store. Attention to the decoration here is amazing. To summarize, if you want to visit a unique building, if you want to hang out, if you need perfect service, and if you are not extremely picky about beer (but don't be afraid), this place will make you happy you stopped by. This little place was way cool. Stopped in to kill some time while waiting for the food trucks to open up down the street. The Avery was a 5 oz. pour and was a little too much on the passion fruit for me. With the black velvet, the Guinness caught my eye but I was questionable on the raspberry cider. Surprisingly, this mix was an excellent choice. If I had more time I would've had a couple more of these. I plan to look for other mixes at local breweries in the future. The PlayLinda is a nice local brewery with great beer and service. Everything was $5 and it wasn't even happy hour. They also fill growlers. If you're in the area, I recommend stopping in. read more

Date of visit 11/25/18 I came here from Orlando, with the group of friends. We were going to see It's A Wonderful Life over at the Titusville Playhouse and decided to stop here for lunch before the show. I'm not much of a beer drinker. So my wife ordered a flight of beers just to taste. I'm a say I enjoyed all of them. I even enjoyed the root beer. I explained to my server that I am a Guinness beer drinker when I do drink beer. I took his recommendation, and it was on point. I ordered a pastrami sandwich with some chips, The sandwich was good, but not great. When you have a TooJay's serving and amazing pastrami sandwich, that's what you compare everything else. Sorry. I did enjoy my sandwich, and kettle chips. Overall service was very good, everyone knew what they were talking about when it came to different beers, and they were very knowledgeable about the food also. This place was busy on a early Friday evening. We were able to get a picnic table outback. They had a patio for dogs and a few games. The food was quite good. The spinach artichoke flatbread had flavorful sun dried tomatoes and was filling for a light meal. The brix burger was heavy with a tasty brisket smothered in bleu cheese. Even then fries were tasty beer battered. But the highlight was the beer. I've had many different craft beers, darks being my favorite. They had the best imperial stout I've ever had. The schmorange go big was a delicious chocolatey orange imperial stout at a hearty 15% abv. It comes in a 5oz sniffer because it's easy to drink it down fast without realizing it because it's so smooth. Amazing! Wish that would be on their permanent tap. Compared to the milk stout, a paltry 4%, it tasted like water! Service was friendly and the vibe was good. Plenty of parking in the front. read more

This was a super cool little brewery that we stopped in while we were in town! The place was decorated really neat with all different kinds of knick knacks that represented the vibe very well. The first time me and a friend tried this place we got there before closing but lack of customers on a Wednesday led to them closing early. The next night we got there early and stayed late as there was a great crowd both inside and outside at the sidewalk tables (the weather was nice if warm). Inside this refurbished century-old hardware store is visually appealing with bar high tables and stools along the length of the building. Games are stashed within reach for family or friends if that's to your liking. The row of silver brewery tanks would appear to be for the malting, mashing, lautering, boiling, fermenting, conditioning, filtering, etc but I'm told these are just for show. Still it's a nice addition and sets the atmosphere. Like it's sister brewery (Brix) south of town the staff is friendly, professional and very helpful explaining how each beer is made. And the beers! Wow! There were so many good ones (get a flight and you can tasks five of your choosing before picking up a pint). Otherwise go straight for the Apple Pie porter or the very drinkable Harware Hardwater (a housemate strawberry cream soda) - believe me you'll want more than one. If you're vegetarian or vegan do not go to brunch here; it was awful. There was nothing veg friendly on the menu or even anything that could be modified to be veg friendly. We ended up getting two eggs over easy with a biscuit because it seemed to be the only option. It was pretty pathetic. One of the waitresses suggested we eat grass from the lawn. Our non-veg dining companion asked for scrambled eggs instead of over easy and was told it wasn't possible. Our food came out all at different times so far apart that half of us had finished before others got their food. We were assured that because this is a "scratch kitchen" that's how it's supposed to be. Meanwhile the table next to us got all their food at once.
