We had an outstanding experience at this steakhouse. The steaks were cooked perfectly--tender, flavorful, and exactly to temperature. You can really tell the kitchen takes pride in the quality of the ingredients and preparation. Huge kudos to Chef Frankie for delivering such a phenomenal meal. Everything from the steak to the sides was well executed and beautifully presented. Our server, Aubrey, was fantastic and truly elevated the experience. I made a reservation, but when I arrived, only a few people were sitting at the bar, so I practically had the entire dining room to myself. Phyre is located on a quiet street just steps away from St. Cloud City Hall. The décor features black velvet booths, black chairs, and marble tables. It isn't fancy, but it has a cool, modern vibe. They even had a huge Christmas tree still on display, decorated in preparation for the Fourth of July, which definitely caught my attention. Allie was my host and server, and she was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout my visit. Every restaurant needs a Allie. She was amazing! If Phyre management reads this, she needs a raise. I mean absolutely wonderful service! I started with what they call the "Our Fashion" cocktail and their famous pretzels served with beer cheese . The cocktail was enjoyable, and I can see why the pretzels get so much attention. They were soft, warm, and fresh. I would have preferred a little less salt, but then again, it wouldn't really be a pretzel. The cheese sauce could have been hotter, but it was flavorful and paired well with the pretzels. For my entrée, I ordered the surf and turf featuring filet medallions, three crab-stuffed shrimp, and a side of garlic mashed potatoes. The food arrived surprisingly quickly, which I appreciated. The filet medallions were cooked to a perfect medium and had a nice slight crisp on the outside, although they weren't quite as hot as I would have liked. It was served towith a delicious wine sauce that really elevated the dish. The crab stuffed shrimp were flavorful, and the garlic mashed potatoes were a great complement to the meal. Didn't know what to expect when we pulled up to Phyre Brewery and Tavern. It was one of rhe coldest Saturdays in Florida history. And when we entered it was all sunshine and good vibes. Hard to describe this place. It was decorated like an old time speakeasy. There was a pianist doing Billy Joel songs which was quite good. And the patrons here were top notch. Liked the tree they have up all year, the theme for February was Valentines. Frankie is the chef and she is making magic here. Had the short ribs and it came with rosemary and garlic mash and brussels. Can't believe how very delicious this was and it was 5 star quality and worth every penny of it's $36 price. One of the best meals I have had in months. The bananas foster cheese cake is to die for. Actually everything was great. The food, drinks and such friendly service. So in love with Phyre Brewery & Tavern. Crystal and Kristen were our bartenders. Kristen made a smoked old fashion which was awesome. It was a little on the sweet side, but definitely awesome. This is a very cute little place in old downtown St. Cloud. The rustic decor is adorable. The menu is very diverse with many options for all types of eaters. Our server was very attentive and never let our tea glasses stay empty very long. They had a daily special of venison; something you don't usually find on a menu. Only negatives I found was the meatloaf was a little dry but did have a good flavor. Also the booth seats are a bit narrow front to back. This place is fantastic! We sat outside as the weather was perfect. We were greeted pretty promptly by Kim. She was very prompt to get us something to drink. She was also patient with me as I took longer than the others to decide what to drink & eat. She nicely said she would return to give me time while I decided, which was perfect! She returned pretty quickly with my family's drinks. I ordered the espresso martini which was made very well. I ordered the Hazelnut Heist. Oh my goodness!!!! That was simply wonderful! The egg over the chicken that was tender and juicy. The chicken had the hazelnut crunchy texture on the outside of the chicken. PERFECT! Topped with a Frangelico, sundried cherry sauce and served over a buttermilk biscuit what a whole other level of perfection. The pairing of that sauce and the chicken encrust with hazelnut is an unexpected taste that simply must be experienced! Definitely would eat that any time! Whoever is in the back cooking kudos to you because I was the best ribs, burger, and fries we've ever had. The ribs were 20 bucks half rack and came with a side of fries that are actual potatoes. I know I'm saying that but yes, their actual potatoes. Lol and the ribs are smoked. We had a great IPA that was grapefruit, they have tomahawk Tuesdays. I usually support small buisness but can't with this one if I could leave -10 stars I would but I have to settle for 1 The owner/manager should not be in the customer service industry. The customer service was some of the worst I've ever experienced. This was easily the nastiest food I've ever had. They should drop the "Steakhouse" from the name and just keep the "Saloon." The lamb tasted like it had been boiled and even looked it and then covered in a terrible cherry sauce. Three people at my table tried it and immediately spit it out. I should have done the same. My stomach has been in shambles after just a one bite. The macaroni was dry, and my steak (bison )was overcooked, dry, and had about 4 ounces of fat on it. After the first bite, the meat tasted like it was starting to go bad and they just cooked it . The only food item I somewhat enjoyed was the candied bacon, although it could have been cooked a little longer. The bartender was the highlight of the visit. They made drinks quickly and did a great job. Our waitress was friendly, but service was very slow, especially considering the restaurant wasn't busy. It took a long time for our drinks to reach the table and even longer for the food to come out.Some one who came 40 min well after us even received food before us and the extra accommodations before we even received ours . The worst part of the experience was how the owner handled our concerns. After I sent the lamb back, he came to the table and told me I had "wasted $100 worth of meat." He also told me I didn't know what I wanted, even though I had decided what I wanted within minutes of arriving. The delay was in someone taking our order, not in me making a decision. With both of the times I ordered to give them a chance . HE stated that that's is how the food is always cooked and there was nothing wrong .he said I couldn't have the boiled lamb if I wanted it off my bill that we had to get to go .I'm glad something told me to taste it before taking it bc it didn't look rite when she showed it to me the crazy part is I never planned to take it and in fact tried to give it back before he came to the waitress because there was nothing I could to save it when I got home even gods hand couldn't fix it .He then told me not to come back That won't be a problem--I never planned on returning. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone for food. If you're looking for anything, I'd only recommend stopping by for a drink because the bartender was the only positive part of the entire experience.I suggest she get a new job because with his attitude her money is definitely short .The booths are small only fit a party of 3 and that's pushing if you have any meat on your bones even a table set for 6 is really for four all in all worst experience and would not recommend read more

The food was delicious: for brunch I had a hazelnut crusted chicken with a frangelico cherry sauce that was super tasty if you like sweet and savory and (at least for me) very unique in flavor! Our return visit I and the other three diners got burgers of different varieties. They were all delicious as were the fries and all for a great price on Monday. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had what we needed and stopping to say hi to our 4 month old daughter who was having a great time listening to the music. They had a great porter on tap which is not always common during the summer in Florida and the rest of the drink selection looked good as well. We stopped in randomly on Valentine's for lunch. We were greeted right away, there was no wait to be seated. They had a very nice selection of beer, wine, and custom drinks. My husband ordered the Deep Sea Shrimp and grits. Said it was the best meal out he's had in a long time. I originally ordered the crayfish mac and cheese, unfortunately my waitress had to come back and let me know they were out. I ended up getting the crab stuffed shrimp on lemon risotto. Little wasabi on the bottom topped with ahi, slaw, seaweed and drizzle of creamy sauce. Yummo! Battered fish tacos had slaw on the bottom and lightly battered mahi cooked perfect but would have preferred blackened if it was a choice and drizzled with a creamy dressing. Very juicy tacos. I absolutely love this place, the food is always excellent, and the owner is not only a great chef but also a genuinely good guy. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the service. The staff tends to be very slow, especially at the bar. At most restaurants, sitting at the bar usually means you're taken care of right away, but here that hasn't been my experience. More than once I've had to look around just to find the bartender. The last two times I came in, I waited between 15-20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me, and this was around 2 p.m. on a weekday when the restaurant was nearly empty. We had a table of 8 and our server Charles he was able to answer any questions about the menu and made drink suggestions, etc he did everything he could to make sure we had a great experience.
