I came by Half Barrel for the first time in a long while for an engagement party, and it's just such a cool spot! It's very unassuming from the outside and inside it's got some really cool artwork and a staff that matches the vibe! Everyone was very friendly and Courtney in particular gave a great recommendation for their island jam sour that is one of their very own brews! Normally I am not big into sours but the ones here were top notch! Before I knew it I was already done with 4 of them and I can't wait to go back and try out more of their options!

What a fun brewery! Lots of TV's and fun art on the walls. We had the best time tonight. Great service from the bartender and the kitchen. Beers and seltzer were great and the wings and hummus plate were delicious!

If you are in the Orlando area and near universal or top golf in one drink or local beverage half barrel of beer Project us a spot for you. From wine, to local siders and seltzers, to local drafts as IPAs as well as hoppy beers they've got a little bit of everything. I grabbed the peach berry cider from Michigan and I can it was $6.50; I got hungry later in the evening and I decided to order the big pretzel for $13. You can order through the QR code at your table with your phone or you can set up order with the gentleman at the bar. We weren't really serviced as we didn't really have a server however there is a gentleman at the bar and there is a person in the kitchen that brings you your food to your table. The ambience of half barrel of beer project is like a local spot for taps and food as well as fun and games!! This is in the epic universe area/topgolf area off of Universal Boulevard. 10/10

Really nice brewery with fast and friendly service. I was asked right away if I wanted to try anything. They have a few board games to play too. I got the Green Man Porter and it was amazing. As a fan of dark beers that are not sweet, the porter was perfect.

Do you have a baseball cap, a v-neck sweater or winter lodge? Then you'll probably fit right in, at least on a week day night over have Half Barrel! It's tucked way back on Universal Blvd and may just be a little hidden gem! The bartenders were very nice and quick to say hello and welcome us in. My partner loved the beer options and they also have a few wine options for the non-beer drinkers out there.

Half Barrel Beer Project was a great find for a friend and I as we were waiting out some accidents to clear on our way towards Disney. There were people of all sorts here at the time that we visited and our bartender was handling a busy Friday evening with ease. Even in the midst of steady customers, he took the time to chat up everyone sitting at the bar which is always appreciated. Having just finished up at the Beer Spa, my friend and I landed on getting a couple tasters and the large pretzel off the food menu. Everything hit the spot, the pretzel was delicious and buttery, and we were greatly impressed by all the food offerings available. On top of the well-rounded tap list, there are also cans and bottles in the fridge for purchase including wine, seltzers, and non-alcoholic options. I didn't see anything about a corkage fee (as most places where I live have them), so that's a plus. It's great to know that such a chill place exists in the midst of the craziness of I-Drive.

Comfy spot at the bar. Listening to tunes and watching some games.

They are going strong tonight! It's been a couple of years, but I had to make it a point to stop by. A bit loud and crazy due to a wedding party hanging out. I can overlook that as this is a healthy sign they are doing well. Still friendly staff. Still a great selection of Floridian and some of the best out of state breweries on draft and cans. If I'm able, I'll stop by every time I'm in town. From what I can see, I'm jealous of this business model. Keep it up Beer Project!

Delicious Korean wings. Ate most of them before taking the picture.

Stopped in to grab a wide selection of Beers plus the Korean wings. They were amazing. The services is always top notch by the bartenders and atmosphere was busy, but not overly loud. Love this place!

Went there to watch the masters and was welcomed with friendly, helpful, staff who love what they do! Seemed like regulars were hanging out and everyone made us feel just like the gang. We've gone there many times since and have enjoyed their great selection of beer and fun inside! They have some games and you can see some of their brewing tanks from the tables. They've got some TVs which make it a great place to watch sporting events but it's not overwhelming like a sports bar. Casual, friendly vibe

Looking to try local craft brews on I-drive? Look no further than the Half Barrel Beer Project. They have a decent selection of Florida craft brews as well as some of their own brews. The ambiance is your typical brewery with lots of seating and music playing. Service was great, being friendly and helpful. The beer was delicious and they have a small selection of wine for the non beer drinkers as well as some food which we did not order at the time. Over all it was a great experience and would go back for some beers.

Came in on a Thursday before holiday and wow I was surprised. They have food now you order from your table and they bring it to you. We started of sitting in the dog friendly porch but decided to move in. They have games playing and also movies. They have high top tables low tables. They also have more group styles seating with couches and board games. The beer here is priced very well! And they have a super good selection them and ciders as well. I got a blackberry lychee cider 10/10 The food we spent $32 total and we were stuffed. the wings are delicious!!!! Super fun local bar

I've come here a couple times with coworkers now. The service has always been spot on. Brews are delicious and consist of their own and partner concoctions. Overall highly recommended for a quick drink. Come early as parking does get busy.

We decided to stop in before the USA vs Paraguay game and not only was the waiter infinitely better, but the food was amazing! I believe our waiter's name was Damien and he was charming, attentive, and really accommodating. It was obviously a busy night given the events throughout the Pointe, but he made sure to not leave us unattended and was quick with refills and requests. We grabbed a pair of Fish and Chips meals for dinner and split a pub poutine and it was all SO good. The fish was cooked perfectly, although a little less crispy than I'd have preferred. Still, it was by far one of the best fish n chips I've had in town for sure. The chips were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The poutine was honestly probably the biggest star of the meal though, the gravy was just packed with flavor and the chips held up so well, not getting too soggy. We'll definitely be back for the next World Cup match and more. We made the mistake of wandering out to another restaurant to catch the match and I wish we'd have stayed. There was definitely a much better setup and the fan presence was perfect. Thanks to the staff of The Pub for really turning my opinion around!

When the server finally arrived we placed our order and waited and waited for our pretzels and beer cheese appetizer which took so long my husband wandered to the waitress to cancel his entree. Which ended up being fine because she hadn't even put our order in yet!!! When the apps arrived the pretzels were piping hot... the cheese despite having a char was barely warm and tasted like spray can cheese! I ended up asking for my Shepard's pie to go because the service was terrible! I should've cancelled that too because it was just as bad as the pretzel app! The atmosphere was lively and fun...definitely a great spot if you're looking for upbeat brunch energy. We started with the deviled eggs, and those did not disappoint. They were flavorful, well-balanced, and probably the highlight of our meal. For entrées, my husband ordered the brunch burger. The menu didn't list bacon, and even after our server double-checked to confirm it wouldn't come with bacon, the burger still came out topped with it. While mistakes happen, it was frustrating having to wait for the order to be remade while the rest of the table was already eating. I ordered the Fruity Pebbles chicken and waffles for my daughter. It was okay, but definitely on the sweeter side. The chicken itself was coated in cereal and then topped with syrup, which made the whole dish very sweet overall -- just a bit underwhelming for us. On a positive note, the kids' portions were great. The mac and cheese and chicken tenders were both solid and generously portioned. Overall, the food was a bit underwhelming for the price point, but I'd probably give it another try...if only for the Maui Mimosa. That drink alone might bring us back.

Descend21 is conveniently located in the Hyatt Regency Orlando right next to the huge swimming pool. I got there for an early lunch and it was fairly empty. They came with some fancy veggies like non-orange carrots (that's how I defined fancy carrots to my son: if it's fancy, it's not orange.) Now the fried chicken sandwich - wow. I would go back just for that. It was huge, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and thoroughly satisfying. They came with fancy fries seasoned with something like rosemary (not sure). All I know is that handheld entree was legit. Ambiance is elevated for sure. The seating for me was almost like sitting on a couch-like chair with fancy cloth pillows. Honestly I don't know how they keep those pillows clean over time at a restaurant that serves wings and fried chicken sandwiches. The inside bar was bit fuller and we spotted the bartender right away. We sat down ordered drinks and viewed the menu. We started off with the pretzel which was good. It was a bit undercooked, but not a dealbreaker. And here's where things got a little interesting. There was a group there who was celebrating a wedding. They were LOUD. Not rude or inappropriate, but just loud. I'm all for having fun, but they were a bit over the top. Through some conversation with the staff, we found out the outdoor bartender came in to make sure the inside bartender was ok given those particular patrons. Solid move on his part for helping out a colleague! The food from here was scattered. My wife's salad came out and was drenched in dressing. Despite the menu saying all dressings on the side, that apparently doesn't apply to the Caesar according to the staff. My wings came much later...much much later. It wasn't a complicated order, so it was a bit surprising. That being said, they were cooked well and seasoned/sauced nicely. It seemed they had a bit of an off day here, so I want to review accordingly.

You can tell there was fresh fruit in it by the blackberry pieces in the drink. For my entree, I ordered The Royal and this was actually one of the best burgers I've had in my life. It was so juicy and flavorful, everything in the burger worked together. The house fries were crispy and tasty. The service itself was excellent and food and drinks came out quickly. Loved the vibes too. Next time I go will definitely be to catch the live music. I've already recommended this place to friends.

Our server Sierra was amazing, the bar was buzzing, the view wasn't NY skyline but it is the best this side of Orlando can offer! The food as well was solid quality! Sometimes you think a place might sacrifice on quality when they're serving so many people but not Tom's!

I don't wanna be that one person, but I have a feeling I know why this place only has three stars…read more I got here at 4:30. I looked at the very sticky menu that she handed me; apparently me asking for a wipe to wipe down the sticky menu was bothering her- she was on her phone. Which I understand it's not relatively busy up here right now however I don't wanna touch a sticky menu. She did come out and check on me at 4:40 however it's been about 15 minutes since then I did want to order food but at this point I'm probably just gonna tap out my check and go get food someplace else. Currently drinking a dragon fruit margarita and she couldn't even give me a coaster or a napkin to soft up all the water because it's very hot out and my drink is sweating. Not sure who the bartender's name is she couldn't even give me that; it's very nice outside, but nobody is out here on the outside deck except me. Don't get me wrong the dragon fruit margarita is really good, it was told on the menu that you could add a floater if you wanted to; however, since it is very strong, I would like some water. Not sure if this bar is able to get water, but she keeps going back inside in order to get me the things that I need and if that's the case, you shouldn't even have the outdoor bar open. Let me talk about the ambience. There are so many TVs on the outside bar there's 24 TVs currently on in a total of a whopping 27 TVs. It would be a very nice place to come on a busy day probably Friday Saturday Sunday, but definitely not a Wednesday night. 5/10
