I've switched loyalties from downtown to Benson, now that I work just a half mile away. I love this place. Before Covid-19 I always went inside to place my order; I had no idea there was a walk-up window. I've found it now, and love being able to order from outside. The baristas manage the orders with grace, and the quality has not suffered one bit in 2020. I strongly suggest purchasing the annual membership keychain if you find yourself dropping in at least once a month; you receive one specialty beverage a month and 15% everything else including the next year's membership so it's a great deal and it gets Hardy some cash up front to start their year. A cute coffee shop in downtown Benson with plenty of seating and an incredible event space! The staff was very kind and the service was very prompt, despite there only being one barista. My cappuccino was very well made and tasty. I tried the everything bagel scone, and while it wasn't for me, it was good despite my not loving the flavors. There is plenty of space in this coffee shop if you wanted to come work or study and they have a great event space where they seem to host a multitude of events (based off posters on the wall). Hard has amazing coffee pastries and breakfast burritos. I usually get a seasonal latte and their vegan breakfast burritos we have been buying their large bag of beans to make lattes at home. They're always super friendly. They also have Print With Me printers in their shops which is a total community service. It has come in handy multiple times. They have changing tables in the bathrooms in all of their locations which once you need them you quickly start to favor places with them. As far as quaint coffee shops go, this one has it all. Old brick, hardwood floors, and a bit of a quirky layout. (Not to mention the owners are amazing people who are Omaha Natives.) I'm an ex-Starbucks goer. I really love Aromas in Benson. Close to home, plenty of sitting area and a great outdoor patio. The staff is always very pleasant. I am always a big fan of someplace that can make a decent cappuccino. Unfortunately they don't know or have the matcha powder to make a green tea latte. Their attempt with dragon tea was way off. They have great pastries and cupcakes from the Bliss bakery downtown. I normally don't have a problem with parking, but I don't go at primetime either. I will like to see more comfortable furniture someday, some of chairs have holes in them and the metal chairs are not very comfortable, maybe they do that for a reason. Highly recommended. read more

We stopped in the other day because we hadn't realized another shop nearby had closed. I had heard good things, but never stopped in so we decided to give it a try. We didn't eat inside, so I can't speak much to that aspect but the drink was fantastic!!! Seriously the best latte I've had in a while. This Aromas located in Benson, like the sister store in the old market, offers a lot of seating for studying, meetings, and coffee with friends. They have great pastries and coffee and also offer limited lunch options. I actually like the vibe in there- there is a big concert stage right in the middle of the shop which is super cool because it helps them really utilize their real estate from day to night. So this is my next coffee place in the series. The ambience is nice. The place is usually very quiet, people come here to work. I went there for fun and was feeling out of the place, next time I will be ready:p. It's a simple coffee place with limited food and drinks option. I had the cappuccino and my friend had the latte, they were good. I asked the server and she told that the talkers sit on the other side and serious people sit on the other side. This is a very nice coffee house. It's as good or better than ones I've been to in KC, Denver, Portland and Maui. (It's been awhile since I frequented Caffeine Dreams.) I like the physical layout - three main seating areas and a small outdoor patio. No problem finding a table to enjoy your coffee. There's also an 'arts stage' where music and other events can happen. Their '2 for $6' menu is great for the morning. I tried an Ethiopian and pecan roll - both good. Next time I'll order a latte and see how good the espresso and barista are. read more

Yeah, Aromas is kind of my new favorite coffee shop in Benson. It's spacious and welcoming with a great selection of locally-roasted coffee (from the Bean Smith). The staff is super-friendly and there's a certain sense of community at this place that you can't quite put your finger on -- maybe it has something to do with being a collaborative space with the new 402 Arts Collective -- but it's refreshing nonetheless. They have several different ways they'll prepare coffee for you: Regular old giant thermos squeezes to a pot of Chemex (drip coffee) and a few in between. Glad to have Aromas in Benson! The barista Ivan was a great guy! He was jumping around, singing dancing queen, and telling each customer how much they slayed! Just loved that positivity so much! Coffee was good, but Ivan made it so much better. He was showing off his tattoo, telling everyone how much it meant to him. The backstory pertained to his little white dog back home, Lulu. Every time I visit now there are so many students studying taking up entire tables I haven't found a table anywhere to meet with friends. If this is the norm there should be smaller tables and more of them to help accomodate the need for seating as they have lots of open space to make better seating choices. read more

The basic breakfast burrito was supposed to have bacon but if it did we couldn't find any. Large latte was 1/2 full and still little improvement when took it back. Same with the Carmel latte. Amazing! I had some of the best hot tea, I've forgotten the brand but the flavor was called Einstein. My son loves the chocolate chip cookies, so much he wouldn't even share. I've been a longtime fan of the original Aroma's downtown, so I'm definitely excited that they've been able to expand and open a second location. First off, the place is absolutely gorgeous. I love the renovations they did to make it modern while keeping the history and industrial Benson look alive. I was happy to discover on my most recent visit that Aroma's is now serving a "traditional cappuccino," which in my opinion, is the only one you should order. It's just what it says it is - a traditional cappuccino - which is a 6 oz drink composed of equal parts espresso, steamed, and foamed milk. I always thought it was a bummer that up until recently you could order a small, medium, or large cappuccino - the latter two, by definition, not really being cappuccinos. I also love Aroma's because they're one of the only places in town where you can purchase whole bean, speciality, single-origin coffee (previously from Beansmith Coffee, and more recently, they've moved to Kickapoo). I do wish that they had more frequent shipments of beans such that customers would be able to buy them closer to their roast date, and that's my only reason for 4 stars here instead of 5. All in all, definitely one of Omaha's best coffee shops and I think they'll continue to get even better (offering more manual brew methods, classes on coffee, etc.) read more
