My happy place. This is a local coffee shop where every food and drink is made with love and the space is designed intentionally with an emphasis on community. Not only does this space offer coffee, tea, and food, but it is connected to Creighton and Metro Community College community meeting spaces and a dining hall with local eateries including Big Mama's and Best Burger. This coffee shop has its roots in baked goods. The owners used to run a bakery which was partnered with Aroma's Coffee. They eventually transitioned to ownership of Aroma's and rebranded as Hardy's. They have always been able to adjust and renew themselves. During the pandemic, Hardy's offered gift boxes with delivery to loved ones, which was a beautiful form of connection during a time where we were all isolated. I went here once before a long while ago after it first opened, and this is my first time back. I've always been a fan of Hardy and it's not hard to see the presence they have in the Omaha area. I had a pumpkin spice latte with the morning glory muffin and a breakfast burrito. All of it was amazing! The burrito was made with fresh eggs and veggies, the muffin was one of the best I've ever had, and the latte was a perfect blend of flavors and not overly sweet. The interior and service were excellent as well! The place is very roomy and everything is very well kept and new looking. This is definitely a top choice for coffee shops in Omaha for me! If you haven't tried Hardy Coffee's baked goods, you are seriously missing out. Their muffins, cookies, & Parmesan knots (among other things), are absolutely devine. The mini coffee cake muffins are a must. I totally love the bite sized monster cookies. The scones are delicious. The burritos are super yummy. These treats are perfect for a gathering. I quarter the Parmesan knots and serve them with marinara sauce. I slice the burritos in half and they look wonderful arranged on a platter. I always order 48 hours in advance and pick up at N 30th location. I Highly recommend thinking about Hardy coffee if you want to host a breakfast/brunch for your friends or family. I stopped in to pick up a cookie and coffee. I love this location it has the biggest and brightest space allowing for ample creative thinking and good focus. My cookie was so god. I love the contract is soft sugar cookie and the frosting that's a little harder. It was so good. I also picked up a cinnamon roll, which I do consider myself a cinnamon aficionado, and this is one of the best in town. The frosting is light and airy and super sweet. I was in the neighborhood going door-to-door for my favorite political candidates. I needed some coffee and this was really my only option. I didn't like the other Hardy Coffee locations, but I had no other choice. The coffee here is just as bad as the other ones! Tasteless. Bland. Do they use Sanka? And the prices have skyrocketed since the last time I was at the Old Market location. Hardy Coffee makes Starbucks look like a bargain. And are the baristas being paid $30 per hour or what? But the last straw for me is that this business is NOT net zero. The Planet is going to burn up in 2100 if we don't achieve net zero by 2050. And OPPD certainly is NOT pulling its weight. This location is very near OPPD's North Omaha Station that has units that still burn coal in 2024. I could smell the carbon dioxide being emitted from NOS. I know for a fact that Starbucks in CA is adding solar panels to their locations. What's wrong with Hardy's? Disgusting! Bottom-line, I will go to McDonald's before I go to Hardy's. Better coffee. The highlander location is my personal favorite, I study here a lot despite the fact that there's only a few spots with access to an outlet. I normally get a cappuccino or the americano, but their seasonal drinks are always worth a try as they aren't too sweet. Watch out for the honey lavender latte! The gingerbread latte was phenomenal! I also placed an order for the Christmas dessert flight and a cookie. I didn't realize until I got home that the cookie wasn't in the bag. The open gym is a nice event on most Tuesday nights, during which new hires can practice their latte art and perfect their Barista skills. Whoa! I am blown away by this location. Honestly, this was such a happy surprise to "discover" this coffee shop. I had a work engagement at the Highlander and the minute I walked into this Hardy location, I knew it was a place I could frequent. I've always enjoyed Hardy Coffee and now add in a spot that is bright, vibrant, and just has a cool feel to it. They offer a wide variety of baked items and maybe other stuff that I haven't yet discovered. But, I can't wait to discover more. I did not know this place existed until yesterday and that makes me sad. Then again, I am very happy I've found it because it's close to work and is such a great space. The new Hardy Coffee location is vibrant, spacious, and best of all -- well priced. The Ethiopian coffee, "for the bean water snobs" as I lovingly like to tell my wife, is actually a beautiful dark roast that is only roasted here at Hardy Coffee Company. Some of their other shop roasted coffees include Guatemala in a washed process and dry hulled, and full city roasts. For the "not-so-much" coffee fans, they sell tea in at least four different flavors, hot chocolate, even ice cream. You can stop by and grab one of their specialty drinks of the month, or become a member for a 15% discount on everything. The best part, in my opinion, is their baked goods. Equipped with a partially visible kitchen, they produce a handful of delicious, fresh, baked foods. Cookies, scones, cupcakes, you name it. This shop is for all ages, has WiFi, and has plenty of seating so you'll never feel like you or a group have no place to sit. (Across the street from the Charles Drew Health Center) P.S... the coffee shop music in the background is thankfully pleasant to listen to, and not too loud for conversation. Wow. This place COMPLETELY floored me. My new favorite coffee spot!! This is the type of place I have been PRAYING Omaha would get. Big, aesthetic, great coffee and pastries, and a chill ambient vibe. With a decorative atmosphere that stays simple and chic, the new location on 30th is the hottest new spot. Open until 10 at night, makes it perfect to work on homework or grab a late night Joe. To make this place even more of a go to, they have MCC and creighton rooms connected where students can walk into and study. These rooms are well kept and clean with couches and tables, so nice!!! They have great instrumental music playing that is soothing, their coffee is fabulous, the service was kind and social, and my time here was lovely. They also carry ecreamery ice cream, I got the hardy coffee flavor and it was tooooo good. They have a wide array of options on their menu, and you can get pastries as well. My latte was perfect and even at 8 PM the coffee was still good and not burnt. The prices are slightly high, but not out of the norm. My personal only downside is that it's so far away from where I live, otherwise I'd be over all the time!!! Must check this place out, perfect for any occasion. read more

My wife and I ordered a pecan roll for us and a cinnamon roll for our kids, and they were both decent. Tasted good, but nothing to write home about. My main gripe was with the coffee. The espresso was clearly over extracted; very astringent. On top of that the milk in our cappuccinos was heated to the point where the milk was scalded and tasted bad (not to mention it was so incredibly hot that I burned my mouth worse than any burn I've ever had from food or drink) milk scalds at 170, and idea temp for steamed milk is between 135 and 150. This was clearly near 200. It had that gross burned milk taste, as well as the the fact that we were there a half hour and it was still too hot to drink. My wife who actually likes her coffee incredibly hot even thought it was too hot, and once you've scalded the milk, it's going to be awful regardless. We threw away both cups of coffee, still full. Even if the milk wasn't too hot though, the espresso was still severely over extracted. Definitely not a repeat for me. read more
