The office sent out a young gentleman named Pat, who diagnosed the problem, got the proper parts to fix the toilet from his truck, and completed the job in a short time period. He cleaned up the area he worked on and made sure everything worked perfectly before he left. The charge for the visit, the parts and the labor was quite reasonable. This was not an easy task, but they certainly knew what they were doing. They carefully removed 3 sidewalk blocks, then replaced them perfectly. They backfilled the area, and preformed yard restoration with seed and straw. All of our neighbors were beyond impressed! The workers were knowledgeable and very polite. We had contacted two other contractors regarding this job, both estimates were higher than Bodek. I asked our landscaper who he'd recommend and he stated, "If you want it done right, go with Bodek!" I have gone to the battery world in vestal 3 times to get a battery and all times left satisfied and trusted I got good service, but NOT this time and I am disappointed in the service, disappointed in the response from the owner.  I brought my truck in for abattery replacement and 3 weeks later my truck was not starting up right with the NEW battery. I checked under the hood to find out the issue was they replaced my original battery set-up parts with a different side post terminal that was too short, wrong size and left the cable nut barely holding the cable on-to the battery. Any good experienced auto service technician would have known this seen this and correctly fix it and would have known leaving it the my cable mount this way would not work well in a moving vehicle later and in time. I really dislike when any auto shop like battery world would leave doing a bad job like this and choking-it-up to the customer will never know what we did. this is the fact of what it is.  I called and brought this matter to the manager's attention. He remembered me coming in to purchase a battery, remembers the installation and blaming ware and tear and NOT the real issue of a incorect part was used in place megshift the job. His reply has left me NOT convincing. It Cost me 10 bucks to get the RIGHT part at the auto store, something they could have gone to get and to do a good job from the start. Personally my original part was in good shape and I feel the technician lost the part, dropped it in the motor compartment and? because I have done that and you need to look for it.  Businesses have to be put on account, ifyou find you don't carry the right parts for every installation, to do theright job, the right thing and let the customer know and try to make it RIGHTthen tell me instead and make it RIGHT and NOT do the shabby work.As far as I am concerned, the customerservice they used to offer has eroded. This has to be the most incompetent business in Vestal NY. I have a registered LLC as a Film Studio and am a Film maker right here in Binghamton. 2 years ago I had 2 Camcorders that are 4K Ultra. Unfortunately they only came with 2 batteries and no charger. I decided to go to Battery World to to buy 2 backup batteries and a Recharger. The Clerk took my information and placed my order. It took nearly a month (3.5 weeks) to get a call saying my order arrived. I went back to the store, paid for my 2 extra batteries and Recharger and left. About 2 years later last week I went into Battery world to see if they still had my order on file because I wanted to buy additional batteries for the same cameras, as I misplaced them. As I was walking into the store a Customer was cursing out what looked like the Store Manager and the customer was furious. I walked pass them straight to the Clerk and this was about the dumbest idiot I ever met in my life. I told him the situation and I was quite professional about it, more than the customer cursing out the Manager. The Clerk then asked for my name which I provided. He then told me that he has the charger that I ordered on file but no recollection of the batteries that his store ordered for me? And to be honest he looked like a frustrated drug addict waiting for me to leave so he can take his medicine. He looked special. I asked him to check his system again and he got frustrated like it was calculus equations or something. I left the store with a business card. I then called the store later that week and asked to speak to the Manager, Mike Slavic, another dumbass. This dude is about as bright as a box of blown lightbulbs. Mike Slavic is about as helpful as a Blind Bank teller. Mike Slavik takes my last name and pulls up my file from 2 years ago. I explain the situation and he also finds the Battery recharger, but again, does not seem to find the battery # anywhere in his system that his store found and ordered. He then tells me the dumbest sh*t I ever heard in my life. He tells me that each Battery recharger is NOT UNIVERSAL and the battery charger is only for that specific battery. I repeat the same thing that he said to me back to him and then asked him to find the battery for that specific charger that they have on file? DUH! Mike then flat out tells me that if I don't have the battery, then there's nothing that he can do! So in other words he said " I love my paycheck but I hate working for it. So don't expect me to do anything that even remotely looks like work, because you're SOL (sh*t out of luck). DON'T EVER GO TO THIS PLACE, EVER. THEY ARE SUPER IDIOTS.

One of the employees called me names and followed up by threatening me with violence. I was there for the third time too see if my chainsaw had been serviced. The first two visits the promised that it would be taken care of right away. This time they said that the tag didn't mention what was wrong with it. The first time I visited they asked me to write my name and number on a tag. Nobody asked me to fill out the tag with the description of what was wrong. I simply told them that it was leaking gas. Second time I visited we also talked about that it was leaking gas, and they promised to get on it right away. I guess they were getting tired of me asking about the saw. For an employee to escalate personal frustrations to the point where the customer is called names and threatened with physical harm is not only unpleasant but illegal. The fact that it is illegal is probably why the business owner has chosen to deny everything with references to security cameras that only he has seen. Let's hope that changes are being made behind the scenes so that future customers won't be exposed to that kind of behavior.

This is what brought me in there, I was in need of a pellet stove. So anyway, I stopped in one morning and talked to Kristen, for no other reason than she's the lucky one that was at the counter when I got there. She spent a good solid half hour with me answering lots of random questions I had about pellet stoves. I probably took more time with her than I should have however she didn't seem to mind so it was all good. I did go ahead and purchase my pellet stove from here and the experience was very good. Now I will be the first to tell you that I am not the easiest person sometimes to deal with and a lot of that is mostly because of my schedule. Instead of calling Kirsten on the phone to iron out the final details I did 90% of it by email as I work overnights and sleep when their store is open. This worked out pretty well as between her and Shauna they got back to me in the next day and I had my answer that evening when I checked email. I arranged for installation and was even able to talk them into having me install guys show up a little earlier than they usually would, once again because of my work schedule. They were pleasant and professional and got the job done in just a couple hours. I have only had the chance to burn the stove a couple of times since having installed however I am very happy with it and would definitely recommend Johnson's pool and spas if the need arises. I am still waiting on delivery of 3 tons of pellets however I don't foresee any problems or difficulty with this is why I'm posting this review now. In addition to the installation they also come out every year if you require it to clean your stove for the next season, and I fully plan on calling them for this because, well I'm just that lazy.

The pool heater was installed incorrectly, making it impossible to connect the gas line, and the smart automation system was never fully programmed or integrated. When I asked them to correct their installation errors, I was told I would have to pay additional money to fix work I had already paid for. I also left this experience feeling that I was treated differently because of my race, which made an already frustrating situation even more upsetting. If they don't have what I need, I can order it on-line (or they will order it for me) and it comes to the store for pick-up at no additional charge. What's not to love? Another big "plus" for me is that it is a locally-owned store (as are all Ace stores). I'm a big believer in supporting my community businesses over faceless conglomerates that couldn't care less about customers as individuals. And yeah, the carry-out service is wonderful!
