Note this is a review *for the office staff*, not the dentist who I have never talked to. I searched the Denti-Cal provider directory and their office is listed. I called and got voicemail. I left a message. Two days later, I had never gotten a call back, and called again, voicemail again. Their message has another number to call for urgent things, so I decided to call that to let the dentist know. A woman answered with a crying baby in the background, 'hello?' I said I was calling for the dentist. 'Who are you' she wanted. I said they don't know me, I'm calling for the dentist, she wanted my name again, I gave it. She said she had tried to call me but 'couldn't get through'. Well, I said, I have a message machine and people leave messages no problem. 'How can I help you?', sounding a bit annoyed. I began, 'As I said in the message Wednesday,' and she interrupted HOW can I help you? How can I help you? I said I was trying to answer, and repeated the reason I was calling. 'Well he doesn't just do extractions. He x-rays and then decides'. OK, but I just saw a dentist and he did x-rays I can send. 'What kind of insurance do you have?' 'Denti-Cal'. This is my 3rd dental office and I see no reason to change. The Dr. himself is the only dentist at the office. My last 2 places, I would get different dentist every visit. The owner of those other dental offices just milked the 'for hire' dentists. Here, i've had much better work on my fillings. The fillings I have from previous dentist are either too wide (between adjacent teeth) or too tight to floss. Dr. Hariz re-did some of them (as much as my insurance would cover for this year) and they feel very natural. If you like personal dental care and not just team of dentists that are assigned to you randomly on each visit, this is the place. I haven't had any excessive wait times. maybe 5-10 min tops. Dr. Hariz is the best dentist ever. I have been seeing him for more than 5 years now and I would highly recommend him to any one. I have had root canal, fillings, deep cleaning etc. done with him and he takes great care while "fixing" your "dental problems" forever and in one shot. He also explains in details why this is needed and what is the timeline you should consider to getting this addressed. The office staff is just awesome and are immensely caring. Hilda (who manages the insurance claims etc) is a gem of a person and ensures that you get a pleasant experience everytime you come in. I have use other dentists in the past but I would see a different dentist everytime I go in but here at this Dentistry, Dr. Hariz is the only dentist and you would only see him. Impossible to get additional detail info regarding implant crown from front office staff. Lack of transparency.. Too bad...

I was in the market for a new dentist last Thanksgiving and I was recommended Dr. Hariz's dental office by a friend, who has been going to his office for the last 20 years. I also had a full HSA that I wanted to use up before the end of the year, so I definitely had a long list of work that I wanted to get done - teeth cleaning, cavity fillings and get started on braces. Dr. Hariz greeted me with such warmth it felt like I had been going there for years, when it was only my first visit. Dr. Hariz cleaned my teeth and mentioned that I would need to fill some cavities upon my next visit, no big deal. He also noted that I had to get my wisdom teeth removed because my bottom two wisdom teeth were almost fully grown and growing in sideways... I had no idea why my previous dentist never mentioned this to me before! Sooo thankful for Dr. Hariz!! Unfortunately, these extractions would require me to go under general anesthesia and he had to defer me to a specialized oral surgeon. I definitely wanted to get this work done before the end of the year so I could utilize my HSA. Hilda was a total rock star!! She was extremely helpful with the scheduling and made all the calculations for me so I wouldn't lose any money from my HSA. Hilda was able to book me an appointment with the oral surgeon across the street 1.5 week later for a consultation. (Great experience with the oral surgeon, where I ended up doing 8 extractions - 4 wisdom teeth and 4 teeth for my braces). Next, Hilda recommended an orthodontist to get me started on my braces and was able to schedule a consultation a week later. (I love my orthodontist!) Lastly, I booked an appointment for my fillings in the middle of December. Hilda had me on her mind, and ended up calling me a few days later with an earlier appointment due to a cancelation. I don't know what I would have done without Dr. Hariz and Hilda!! I definitely will be coming here for years to come and if I'm lucky enough have my kids see Dr. Hariz as well. read more

Dr.Sam was the most honest experienced dentist that I have had in long time. I'm a anxious person and he was willing to work with me in any way. I felt bad but sometimes we are humans and being anxious isn't in our hands. Anyways I had a broken tooth. We had to get a crown installed. From the color to the perfection of the crown, you can't even tell I have a crown. Also found 5 cavities and finished them with no pain whatsoever. Dr Hariz has been my husbands dentist for few yrs now and I have to share how awesome he is. My husband came with complicated dental history starting with some funky stuff which they did in our home country which keeps causing problems and dental infections. Dr Hariz has been incredibly patient, available and arranging things very quickly- like Endodontist referral the other day and so on. He does not appear to ever take vacations too! I'm not a fan of going to the dentist period, so with that said... Dr. Hariz has impacted me in such a way that I travel all the way from Stockton to see him. He is wonderful and makes me feel comfortable when I'm in his chair. The staff there are all very nice and accommodating. I called complaining of a tooth ache and they got me in right away and by the time I left the office, all was good again. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Hariz for anyone far or near. I moved to the bay area for work reasons at the beginning of summer 2015. My teeth had not been in the best shape for a while before then, but as Murphy's law goes they've gotten much worse since my relocation. I was ignorant (willingly) of my dental problems, but after one of my teeth lost filling upon being cracked and chipped off there was no other way but visiting a dental practice. I chose to consult internet and one bing query revealed Dr. Hariz's office to be conveniently close with favorable reviews. I can't be happier with my choice since. I was greeted with utmost care as soon as I walked through the door. Despite the busy schedule, Dr. Hariz's wife Hilda immediately recognized the extent of my distress, and there I was in the dental chair meeting with Dr. Hafiz for the first time. It has been several months since I chose to listen to reason and address my dental health. The troubling tooth has been repaired shortly after my first visit with utmost diligence and thanks to Dr. Hariz's expertise also the least amount of discomfort. I can't forget to praise the remaining dental staff for their wonderful approach and professional care! Dr. Hariz has been my dentist all my life. Being in the dental chair has always been a very pleasant experience. Dr. Hariz is extremely personable and has a very gentle dental touch. It is extremely obvious that he cares about his patients and always goes beyond what's required of him to make sure the patient feels comfortable. The front office is also great! Hilda, the office manager, also takes great care of the patients. She is very knowledgable about the dental insurances and makes sure the patients gain the most from what their insurance has to offer. In addition, she greets the patients with a smile when they walk in, and makes sure there are no long wait times. I love this office so much that I have now brought my husband and two children as well as referred Dr. Hariz to many friends and family who have also chosen to go to his office.
