I almost hated to write a review as I don't want everyone to go here or I will have to wait longer to get appointments. Selfish me. We have been going here since 1999 after we first moved to Fremont. The people we bought our house from down the road recommended him. Everyone we have referred to him, especially relatives have started going here too. Friendly staff and good hygienists. Dr. O has all of the latest technology too. I just wish he was my dentist much sooner or I wouldn't have had to spend so much now on fixing decades of neglect before we started going there. Nobody gives as good of shots to numb nerves in the mouth for crowns or cavities as Dr. O. Overall a great choice if you need a dentist in the area. I've been bringing my developmentally disabled sister to Dr. Okazaki's office for many years. The staff is always so friendly and patient with her and very professional with me. She genuinely looks forward to her dental appointments. The staff always lets me know if there's a developing issue, and they make sure she knows if she has to brush differently or floss better in a certain area, etc. The care she receives here is top-notch. Their office is physically decent. The waiting room isn't huge, but it has a little salt-water aquarium and lots of magazines to bide the time. We almost never have to wait very long from our appointment time anyway. The only issues I would mention are the wait times for getting an appointment. They are booked pretty far in advance for routine care, which I would expect from a skilled dentist with good staff. It can also be a little confusing getting to the right office, since all the buildings look the same, and there are a million dentists in these buildings. (Be sure to check the address/number on the side of the building. Their office is upstairs.) But once you've been there and figured it out, I'm sure you'll be returning for many years as we have. read more

Dr. O and his staff are super welcoming! It always feels like Thanksgiving Dinner when I come for my routine cleaning/check up appointments (every 6 months). I say this because everyone is so nice and want to catch up on what's been going on the last 6 months. And what's cool, is that it's like that really good friend you haven't seen in a while, when you see that friend you basically pick up where you left off, this is the feeling I get when I come to this office. Plus, my appointments always have a good flow; Taree the Sweet front desk lady is super nice and knows me by name. She checks me in and I wait a few minutes, then I'm called back by my dental hygienist, Amber. Amber's cool and really makes me feel comfortable. She's also very thorough and patient, because I unfortunately produce extra amounts of calcium therefore I have more build up compared to the normal person. This requires extra time and work during my cleanings. Thanks Amber for being so thorough, my teeth feel amazing after you clean them! After I'm done with Amber, Dr. Okazaki sees me for about a 5-10 minute check up to make sure I have no cavities. Dr. Okazaki is very thorough during his exams and answers any questions you have at the time. After my time with Dr. I- I'm off with my goodie bag with includes a new tooth brush, a floss and small tooth paste sample. Before walking out I stop by Taree to schedule my next appointment. Easy-peasy. I like the organization of this practice, plus the inside is very clean and up to date. P.S. if you're lucky you get one of the massage dental chairs for your visit! read more

I'm big on personal referrals and when more than one friend told me about Dr. Okazaki and his staff being rock stars, I had a good feeling we had found our dentist. Every visit I've had has been timely and professional. I'm never left waiting in the waiting room or chair for long. And from previous dental offices, I've had the unfortunate experience of dentists pretty much forcing procedures and unnecessary work down my throat, all for the sake of making some money out of me and my insurance. I have been a patient of Dr. O for as long as I can remember and he is absolutely THE BEST dentist EVER! Not only is he very thorough and amazing at what he does, but he is also personable and outgoing which makes going to the dentist a fairly decent experience. I love the spa-like ambiance that this dental office has to offer. The place is clean and relaxing, the chairs are super comfy, and they provide you with things such as movies and music. He carries state of the art equipments which I think are pretty cool such as the crown maker. The staff here is really remarkable as well. As soon as I walk through the door, the gals at the front desk always greet me with a cheery welcome. When setting you up for an appointment, they are very accommodating and considerate of your time and schedule. Leigh is the dental hygienist that often works on my teeth and she is fantastic! Her touch is gentle, but she gets all the gunk off my grill and then some! I always leave the place with a fresh clean feeling in my mouth and my pearly whites sparkling! Ask for her! You will absolutely adore her too. I guarantee it. Upon leaving, she packs me my to-go bag complete with a new toothbrush, travel size toothpaste, and floss. Recently moved from a downstairs office to an upstairs one. Upgraded with a new fish tank and plasma TVs. Up to date technology and great staff. You can bring your own DVD to watch or choose one from their collection. The toy chest has lots of neat goodies too. You might have to sneak into the box if you look too old for toys. :p The dental assistants are all very friendly. They give me a spiel about flossing everytime I go in, but I think you get that at every dental office. My only scary experience I've had was with this one dental assistant who doesn't work there anymore. I thought she was too rough on the teeth/gums. Fine, I've got plaque, but a teensy bit is okay, right? Apparently not. Dr. O has been in the business for over 10 years. He knows what he's doing. Dr. O has been my dentist now for about 4 months now. It's been a LONG time since I've been to the dentist so I needed a LOT of work from Deep cleanings, extractions/fillings to a bridge. The numbing process is excellent. You barely feel them applying the nova cane as well as the work they do while you're numb. I have been with Dr. Okazaki since he first started about 20-25 years ago. I have moved several times but never thought about changing dentists. His staff is amazing and they keep up with the latest technology. Despite having to go for whatever work I need, I'm almost disappointed when they finish before the movie ends (almost). No place is perfect but if there is ever a problem or concern, they are very good at fixing or going out of their way to make it up. Love their yearly cards they send out, Happy Birthday texts and reminders. Not to mention that Dr. O is also a cutie and his kids are tough as nails competitors on the basketball court. Dr. O is the best. My family has been going to him since the beginning. Dr. O knows his stuff, has the most up to date equipment/technology and great demeanor. He'll present all alternatives/options and not be overly aggressive. His concern is the patient. Can you imagine not even feeling him numb you out or having to wait for days for crowns? They are always very timely (peak times can be a bit crowded but they do their best regardless), and never fail to make sure the appointment goes smoothly. All of the dentists take their time on their work but are still as efficient as possible, and make great conversation while at it too!! Dr. O and his team are THE BEST! From a very young age I had a tough time going to the dentist, and I had seen many of them. I don't have "bad" teeth, but the process of numbing to deal with cavities and such really traumatized me from the very beginning, so when I initially changed dentists to Dr. Okazaki, I was as apprehensive as ever. Boy, was I wrong for feeling that way. First off, the front office staff are amazing. Very kind, personable, and always helpful. All of his dental staff are great too. Very gentle, also very helpful and you get to really know them as you go through cleanings and prep for other dental needs. As far as Dr. O...I've already told him he's got the softest hands of any dentist I've ever had work on my teeth. The process and method of how he has had to numb my teeth when I needed it is magical. I'm never anxious when he has to do it to me. Additionally, his patient care is second to none. He explains what's going on with your teeth, gives you options when they're there, and is just a great guy. I have been seeing Dr. O for over 20 years now. I used to live close by but I have since moved and must drive almost an hour to get to him. I would drive two or three hours if I had to. There is no better dentist in my opinion. I have had an implant done, root canal, veneers, etc. no work that Dr. O has done has ever had to be redone. The office is very nice and calm, the staff is fantastic and Dr. O is amazing! He uses high-tech gear and he is very keen on making sure you are fully numb before drilling. My first time at Dr Okazaki today was a very satisfying experience. I had neglected my teeth far too long and had a front tooth infected and in what I thought was a hopeless state. I was completely expecting an extraction. Dr Ted worked me into his schedule, someone was at my chairside in minutes with an estimate based on my coverage, and we were off and running. shopped around for a new dentist in the area. read my share of reviews and i was fooled over quantity vs quality. i've read the reviews here carefully to notice consistencies and was wondering what people were raving about. i came here with extremely high expectations, what I can tell you on why Dr. O and his staff is the best is that they value your comfort and go out of their way to make sure you feel good the entire time. Any dentist can perform procedures, but the service and conscious efforts these guys go through to make sure you are not in too much pain (there is a little, let's be honest here). This is by far the best dentist I have ever been to! Most people hate going to the dentist because it is usually uncomfortable and rarely pleasant. I too shared this feeling until I was referred to Dr. Okazaki. After having a horrible ordeal with bad crowns at Fremont Dental, I had Dr. O replace them and was amazed at the experience. No pain, perfect results, and the crowns were done in house in about 1 hour. The staff is equally as great. Carmen is my dental hygienist and is very gentle and thorough.
