Truly amazing meal and experience AGAIN! Suzy is such a great chef and a wonderful person on top. We ordered one of everything to share. All delicious! The beef grilled cheese with kimchee is to die for! We'll be back next time we're on the island.

Her portions are big and her food is delicious.

Suzie is the best. Her food is amazing and her place is super cool. Everything on her menu is delicious.

If you're looking for a unique and DELICIOUS experience look no further! This Korean food with local sourced ingredients is ono (delicious)!!! Suzy at Harmoni Foods is the best! She's a one-woman show and her food is something my family & I keep going back for I normally get the Vegetarian dish Grilled cheese Her specialty drink 2 cans of kimichi to go She is the ONLY person there to service you she cooks & creates her Ono-licious food! & is so good at it. It's a ways away from where I live, but it's totally worth it. She has an awesome outdoor seating area & it overlooks the beautiful sea in the distance. This Korean food is so good & i always feel super happy & full whenever we go!

Glad I stuck around town and waited to try it out! I could have easily ate at other venues, but was really curious as it had great reviews. The best bi bim bop and black rice! You could choose what type of protein you wanted. Fresh liliko'i limeade with pulp and some seeds (which I like). After talking with owner I learned she starts prep at 5am with fresh ingredients daily. Can't wait to go back to try other menu items!

This is by far the best meal we have had so far. Suzy (spelling?) the chef is so sweet and makes everything super fresh, even her hot sauce. We had the beef bibimbap with added tofu and ginger lemonade- plenty of food for 2 people for lunch. We barely talked while eating it was so good. Make sure you stop here!

My wife and I decided to stop in Honokaa on the way back from a visit to Akaka falls. The town is very charming with lots of nice shops. But the highlight for us was our early dinner at Harmoni Foods. My wife and I shared a beef bimbibap filled with perfectly seasoned beef, black rice, Japanese Okinawa sweet potato (first time I've had that and it was incredible!), carrots, broccolini, pickled vegetables, an overeasy egg and Korean hot sauce. As I come from Southern California where you can get amazing Korean food this was some of the most amazing I've ever had. It was the best meal we've had in the Big Island! And the freshness of the ingredients certainly made the meal not only tasty but healthy. We also had a very refreshing drink to complement the meal which had the combination of calamansi, turmeric with lemonade. The owner, Susie, is the only one working there and she cooks the meal in a red food cart with a pleasant outdoor patio with tables and benches in front of it. She told us she will open a larger restaurant in the near future right behind where the red food cart is now. She was incredibly friendly and very passionate about the food she prepares! This restaurant is so good that if you happen to be taking Highway 19 it's worth the visit or detour to Honokaa just to dine here. It's really that great!

We came back two nights in a roll to try more dishes. Yukgaejang was flavorful without being salty. It had perfect amount of spiciness and big portion size was a bonus for hungry tourists. We also had their shishito/chives pancake. It was huge and enough to share with whole family. Their butterfish dish was absolutely perfect and we appreciated less salty and buttery fish (as name suggests). We would have gone back for more but unfortunately they are closed Sundays and Mondays. Service was fast and friendly even though they were very busy (lots of phone orders too). It's order at the counter but they bring food out to you. Highly recommend!!

At first, I didn't spot any Korean staff, so I wasn't expecting much in terms of authenticity. But we ordered #24 -- the Kalbi, BBQ Chicken, Mandoo -- along with Kimchi Jjigae, and to our surprise, everything was outstanding. The Kalbi, in particular, was exceptional: tender, flavorful, and perfectly marinated with no excess fat. I can confidently say the recent positive reviews were spot on. This place is a hidden gem, especially considering how remote it is on the Big Island. I found out later the main chef was a Korean man working mainly in the kitchen. We highly recommend it -- even to fellow Koreans seeking a taste of home. The steady stream of takeout orders also suggests it's a popular and budget-friendly option for families.

The sole waitress was not friendly at all and seemed more preoccupied with leaving work on time than taking our order. Tried to order a couple of items and was told, "I don't think we have that?" The food is not the same quality or quantity as before. The banchan that was served to us was either overcooked or salty. Seafood pancake was flavorless. Spicy pork was not spicy at all. We placed a take-out order while eating our food. We drove all the way home only to find out that we were given someone else's order. Banchan choices for take-out and dine-in are limited. The only positive about our experience at Cham Cham was the shift change with the waitstaff. The waitress who took over was attentive and friendly. I would not recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Korean food or who is expecting the same Cham Cham as years prior.

Service is friendly and relatively fast considering they have just a couple of kind ladies working there. Bingsu is amazing and rivals some of the bingsu we had in South Korea! We tried the strawberry bingsu which was loaded with sweet, jammy strawberries, colorful mochi pieces, condensed milk, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and a crunchy topping. One bingsu is enough for two people to share after a meal, though it's so yummy that you might be tempted to order two! We tried their spicy squid (not pictured) as well. So good with lots of squid in a delicious semi spicy sauce. Comes with rice and a few banchan. A little pricy to be honest at $20 for a small plate. The taste makes it worth the price though. Overall, Haneul Cafe is one of my top choices for Korean food in Hilo. The bingsu is the bomb! Looking forward to trying the other bingsu flavors like injeolmi, mango, and matcha. Will be a return customer for sure.

The exterior, and interior, of the building is nothing special. As a matter of fact, that's part of what I loved about it; it helps you realize it's an all around fantastic food joint, not just somewhere that charges overpriced amounts for average food because of the "vibe." It's extremely busy inside this place, and staff was extremely friendly and pretty quick with turning out orders. I ordered a two entree plate, which consisted of their teriyaki chicken and pina colada shrimp, per the recommendation of the woman taking my order. The shrimp was incredible and the pins colada sauce that it comes with it's something I now dream about! The chicken was also great. It's dark meat, which is something to keep in mind in case you're a pickier eater, but the char and flavor of it was wonderful. For the sides I ordered rice and their mac salad. I'm not usually a mac salad kind of guy, but this changed my mind and I can now say I'm a true fan.
