Loved it!! What a cute place and the cutest lady running it!…read moreWe all thoroughly enjoyed our super freshly prepared pad Thai (w/chicken and tofu), parang curry, kolbi chicken, chicken satay and probably a couple other things. We had a group of 10 people so I kind of forget what else we ordered. The place was recommended to us by our kids' group zip lining guide (which we had done earlier the same day), and he was completely right! We are from Kansas City, KS and the Thai dishes were very different from the pad Thai and the parang curry we are used to eating here! Definitely recommend if you are in the area and if you can hit the place in time (places in Hawaii were closed at odd times and days- we think and were told has been due to the pandemic and staff/ supply shortages). So anytime we found a place to eat, which could seat us when we needed a place, we considered ourselves lucky! If the food was good, that was a bonus! Yelp continues to be our resource for food when travelling 99.9% of the time, and it has not disappointed yet!

The lady makes the food as it is ordered. Smells so good. We waited while she cooked a phone order to go. My daughter ordered the chicken salad- very fresh and tasty. It came with a house dressing. Good choice says my daughter.

Be sure to watch for the sign as you approach - we drove by the first time and came back to make it into the parking lot. The person taking orders was helpful and warned us right away that they were out of curry. The person who makes it measures from her heart, won't share her recipe, and was out shopping. We shared the fried rice with chicken and some spring rolls. It was all so delicious, and fun to sit on the deck and watch the road and town while relaxing after the crazy road. My real praise starts a couple hours later. As we made it to our next stop, I remember that I had never taken my bag off the back of the chair back at the restaurant! I called as soon as we had a phone signal again, and the gentleman who answered the phone assured me right away that he'd seen it and was keeping it safe. I told him we'd be back for it the next day, and he told me what time he'd be there. Luckily for me, hubs drove back alone the next day (he loves the road, and it's more fun for him without me panicking from the passenger seat). The man at the restaurant said he'd tried to get our attention as we left, and again when we drove by after visiting the shore! I was so grateful to have my stuff back, and be able to board our plane the next day with my id. P.S. - the food and service was 5 stars even if they hadn't helped with my mix up later!

Easy to split, best spring rolls in my life. Outside seating , actually came by golf cart from the resort and walked back. There is a wait , very popular. Totally worth it. We had Pad Thai with chicken over glass noodles and vegetables.

We've owned a home in Kihei since 2015, and yet, had never been to Thai Bistro. So, today, we…read morefinally realized maybe we should give it a try? The lunchtime meal was *amazing*! I had Thai-Railway Fried Rice, which has diced, cooked NY steak chunks, in a bed of brown rice, as well as peas, carrots, scallions, Maui onions (yum!), with an egg over easy on top, with toasted onions. I dialed the spicyness at "medium". It was *perfect*! My wife had Pad Thai with chicken, and she left it at the default spicyness (medium), which ended up being too hot for her, but she soldiered on nevertheless enjoying the wonderful flavor. Perhaps because of the noodles and curry, the spiciness of the Pad Thai seemed much stronger than the Thai-Railway fried rice dish. Of course, we had leftovers and I'll probably end up eating hers, and she'll eat mine. The service was prompt, and the girl waiting on the tables was courteous, with a beautiful smile. The restaurant is deceptively roomy, seeming to be smaller from the outside, but once inside, it was quiet, clean, with comfortable chairs, clean tables, and large windows to enjoy some of Kihei's views (like today's gentle rain). As with most things these day on Maui, where everything comes in a shipping container, food costs are very noticable. Our meal, including thai ice tea and a soda, with a coconut ice-cream to finish it was about $44/person. Not cheap, but also not as bad as, say, Tommy Bahamas.
