Stopped by for some Papaya Salad and ended up getting one of their rolls, which came with avocado, sprouts, lettuce, shredded carrots, and peanut sauce to dip it in. Quick, inexpensive, and authentic Thai food, a family business spanning generations. They had a restaurant in Kona, but I forgot the name. Forgot to take a photo of my food. I'll be back.

The lady makes the food as it is ordered. Smells so good. We waited while she cooked a phone order to go. My daughter ordered the chicken salad- very fresh and tasty. It came with a house dressing. Good choice says my daughter.

The food is absolutely delicious, fresh and authentic!!! When we arrived 25 minutes before closing, we were greeted warmly and there was just one sweet woman doing everything! We had a big order, but she started cooking and gave us our food as it came out. She insisted we just go eat and not worry about paying til later. ;) She was amazing to watch, as it feels like watching mama cooking in the kitchen at home. Probably the best Pad Thai I have ever had and the summer rolls were so fresh and soooo yummy that I ordered 2 more rolls to take home after scarfing the first one! I also bought the last 2 two packages of her homemade almond cookies. Can't wait to try them! As we were leaving she handed me a big bag of fresh lychee fruit, and said, "Share with your family." So sweet!!!! I can't highly recommend this place for a wonderful, quick, super fresh and tasty meal cooked by the sweetest woman! Definitely will be back again when we visit. Two big thumbs up for down home charm and oh-so ONO food!

Be sure to watch for the sign as you approach - we drove by the first time and came back to make it into the parking lot. The person taking orders was helpful and warned us right away that they were out of curry. The person who makes it measures from her heart, won't share her recipe, and was out shopping. We shared the fried rice with chicken and some spring rolls. It was all so delicious, and fun to sit on the deck and watch the road and town while relaxing after the crazy road. My real praise starts a couple hours later. As we made it to our next stop, I remember that I had never taken my bag off the back of the chair back at the restaurant! I called as soon as we had a phone signal again, and the gentleman who answered the phone assured me right away that he'd seen it and was keeping it safe. I told him we'd be back for it the next day, and he told me what time he'd be there. Luckily for me, hubs drove back alone the next day (he loves the road, and it's more fun for him without me panicking from the passenger seat). The man at the restaurant said he'd tried to get our attention as we left, and again when we drove by after visiting the shore! I was so grateful to have my stuff back, and be able to board our plane the next day with my id. P.S. - the food and service was 5 stars even if they hadn't helped with my mix up later!

We've owned a home in Kihei since 2015, and yet, had never been to Thai Bistro. So, today, we…read morefinally realized maybe we should give it a try? The lunchtime meal was *amazing*! I had Thai-Railway Fried Rice, which has diced, cooked NY steak chunks, in a bed of brown rice, as well as peas, carrots, scallions, Maui onions (yum!), with an egg over easy on top, with toasted onions. I dialed the spicyness at "medium". It was *perfect*! My wife had Pad Thai with chicken, and she left it at the default spicyness (medium), which ended up being too hot for her, but she soldiered on nevertheless enjoying the wonderful flavor. Perhaps because of the noodles and curry, the spiciness of the Pad Thai seemed much stronger than the Thai-Railway fried rice dish. Of course, we had leftovers and I'll probably end up eating hers, and she'll eat mine. The service was prompt, and the girl waiting on the tables was courteous, with a beautiful smile. The restaurant is deceptively roomy, seeming to be smaller from the outside, but once inside, it was quiet, clean, with comfortable chairs, clean tables, and large windows to enjoy some of Kihei's views (like today's gentle rain). As with most things these day on Maui, where everything comes in a shipping container, food costs are very noticable. Our meal, including thai ice tea and a soda, with a coconut ice-cream to finish it was about $44/person. Not cheap, but also not as bad as, say, Tommy Bahamas.

We ordered 3 dishes and had leftovers to enjoy again. We ordered Macadamia nut panang Curry (I love…read morecurry anytime..), Drunken noodles (Pad Ki Mao) and Thai-railway fried rice (recommended by server). All dishes were delicious, full of flavour in every bite. Our whole family enjoyed every dish. The portions are good size and the prices were ok! The servers kept to themselves. Once you get your food, they only show up with your bill and ask you how the meal was. When you view your bill, you are automatically charged 18% tip for the meal, which was a little bit of a turn off considering the service you were getting is very little.

As a Thai person spending a month in Maui and eating my way through several Thai restaurants and…read morefood trucks, My Thai is the best by far! The menu has all the familiar Thai favorites, but also dishes that are hard to come by in the States. We tried quite a few things, and everything was excellent. Our favorites were the Spicy Basil (pad krapow) and Mom's Sausage (sai oua). The pad krapow comes with ground meat, as it should, and has that savory, spicy, fragrant flavor I look for. Mom's Sausage is incredibly flavorful and definitely worth ordering. The Pad Mama is another standout. It's a simple Thai comfort dish made with instant noodles, but they do it perfectly. And don't skip the mango sticky rice! The sticky rice was warm, soft, and pillowy, and the mango was perfectly ripe. Everyone here is super friendly too. The interior is cute, creative, and full of little details that show how much thought went into the place. They even play Thai country music in the background. One tip for first-timers: when you arrive, grab a menu from the check-in spot outside the restaurant, to the left of the dining area. Then head into the dining area and they'll seat you. You order through the QR code at your table and pay + tip when you place your order. Food is served in paper takeout containers. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in Maui!

They've done this twice and I can't even call them to ask them because their number doesn't work and there's no way of getting a hold of them. I wish their menu was more accurate or if that's the case, note that the fish could be substituted because what we ordered versus what we got, are definitely 2 different things. I know what tilapia costs versus pompano and if you're going to charge me $30 for fish, I would expect to get what I ordered. I messaged them through their social media since their phone doesn't work so hopefully they respond and do the right thing. We've been loyal customers and this isn't cool. Dinner takeouts are not cheap on island so when we splurge for the $30 fish, we hope to get just that.
