Sharon was able to come by the following afternoon. He also called to let me know when he was on his way. Sharon quickly confirmed that the leak was due to a cracked drain hose. Before he replaced it, he let me know that the new silicone drain hose will cost $45 but is more flexible so less prone to cracking He also asked if I'd like him to replace the hose which will cost $150. I agreed to have him replace the cracked drain hose. There is a 1 year warranty. As for the warm fridge, Sharon aimed an infrared thermometer at each shelf in the fridge and said that the temperature (4.2 degrees Celsius) is normal. He also checked to feel if cold air was venting from the freezer into the fridge. He advised that 4 to 6 degrees Celsius is the typical range that the fridge should be within. So fortunately no repairs were needed. He didn't charge for this quick check. So impressed with technician Simon and Loyalty Appliance Repair. Handle on front loading washer broke rendering it unusable. Loyalty Appliance was prompt in responding to my call for a repair visit and Simon was amazing: punctual, called ahead with eta, focused and professional. After he had completed diagnostics, he phoned me from the laundry rather than walking through the house or shouting for me. Unfortunately the part was on backorder but Simon googled an aftermarket handle on Amazon, texted me the ad and suggested I order it as the back order availability was unspecified. This first visit was a diagnostic charge only (under $100). Once it arrived Simon returned the day after to install the replacement handle. I had an issue where my washer would stop at the drain cycle. Dvir the technician made a visit and quickly diagnosed the problem was a corroded bearing. His recommendation was that it was better to buy a new machine as it will be too costly to repair. Instead I paid a small fee for his visit. He also advised how to better preserve the life of the washer by not overloading and using less detergent. Too much detergent can leave behind residue which corrodes the internals. I phoned Loyalty this morning regarding my dryer that was not working. Sharon replied within minutes and set a time for 4-6pm the same day.
