It's your basic, roadside, quick-eats stand. Though by "quick" it's about 15 minutes on an uncrowded day. Implies that it's made to order. Food is exactly what you'd expect based on price, but that's what you sign up for. It's a feel-good childhood memories sort of place, slightly reminiscent of the Moonshine Store in nowhere, Illinois. Love the frontage; very insta-worthy, or maybe get out the analog cameras... is there a difference anymore?

45 minute wait but worth it. Always a must when in Maine. Get the everything burger( cheese, grilled onions and special relish). Fries are good. Today no onion rings due to staff shortage. Toots ice cream delicious too with generous scoops. Call ahead to make sure they are open. Closed several days this past week due to heat wave. Cash only.

Old school greasy burgers with a side of Fox News propoganda from the locals. OK but nothing special.

i'd rather go to harmons than any other burger place around. Simple, cash only, unapologetically old school. Why mess with success?

So, we decided to sneak over here after a busy morning at the lighthouse with our toddler for a nice, filling lunch before a later flight home. We must've gotten lucky on a Sunday bc our wait for three people was about 15-20 minutes quoted and we spent 10 minutes walking the block to entertain our toddler, came back to check-in and our table was ready! yay! We had a great table in the corner by the window which was excellent with our toddler. Our server, Brian, was wonderful and super friendly. Menu isn't huge but, has enough stuff that should be able to please most. We chose a small fry with the daily dip which was almost like a mayo-based honey mustard dijon and was delicious, with ketchup and vinegar for dipping. Fries were crispy and delicious. We got the green salad and the Cuban to split and loved both. The sandwich was delicious and the green salad was light and refreshing with some really yummy herbs on top to include fennel which isn't usually on a salad but I loved the taste for this one, worked perfectly with the dressing. My husband ordered their house-made cherry soda and let me tell you, best cherry soda of my life! We ordered two bc I drank about half of it. They have a charming outdoor patio area with about 3-4 other tables. Charming spot - def. recommend! Wait can get super long - by the time we left they were quoting over an hour for a table since it's smaller inside and large parties can take up almost all the spaces.

We hadn't been in over a year, and we had a reason to celebrate...our 21 wedding anniversary. As usual, we loved it. Both my husband and daughter got the burger and fries and again we all agreed it is the absolute best! This time we tried a few items we hadn't tried before...of those, our favorite was the Chickpea Panisse which is a the "sides" section of the menu. I think it should be elevated to the appetizer section! The waitress described it perfectly...it is a Parisian street food, and it is sort of like a falafel in shape, and it is fried like a falafel, but it is made of slightly spiced smooth chickpeas, so it is not course like falafel. It is served with a harrissa sauce on the side. It came with 3 puck size pieces. The flavor, the texture and the sauce all went perfectly together. So good! We also had the smoked fish pate which came with house made giant potato chips. The fish was trout, and apparently this changes based on the day. It was also fantastic! As my meal, I got the steak tartare and although technically I think it's in the appetizer section, the portion size is more like a meal. It is as absolutely perfect. Dressed with a slightly sharp dressing with capers and an egg yolk, and on the side the same house giant potato chips. It is fantastic. I've had the steak tartare here before...it see it as a special treat. First because there aren't many restaurants that serve it, and second because it isn't something I would make for myself at home. I highly recommend! Check out the pictures of it. If you've never had it before, this one is served French style where the steak is chopped up into tiny pieces. Another favorite was the sparking lavender lemonade which is very refreshing, slightly sweet, and flavorful with lavender scent and taste.

Tall order - but it worked! I have loved this place since they opened and living in the burbs I don't get there as much as I'd like. So going on a day when it was CRAZY busy was a leap, but a good one. You know it's a good sign when all team members are focused and working as one - even their James Beard nominated chef brought out a plate or two - luckily at our table! Sometimes I am too much a creature of habit but this time I went a bit rogue - for me anyway! Started with a Woodford Apertif that was just right to accompany their amazing deviled eggs. Four of us so like them that we each get one and a half. For brunch I joined one friend and went for Turkish Eggs and Avocado toast - it was amazingly good, and again totally not me. The eggs were poached just right, the Turkish flavoring added so much and when all kind of layered on the avocado toast - yummy! Wayne and another friend insisted they were going healthier with the Baked Eggs Florentine. Again a perfectly poached egg atop spinach and served with a tasty focaccia and fruit cup. One of the first times I've not had a burger and fries while at Woodford - but way delish. Going on Mother's Day also meant a huge crowd that included rowdy kids, but the food, the company, the staff and the friends made it worthwhile.
