Everyone here is SO NICE. We've been coming here for a few years now with our senior animals and they have been wonderful. We've experienced wellness visits, technician visits (for monthly pain management shots and nail trims), and sadly, end of life care. I've felt seen, heard, and valued in every experience. The end of life process was so thoughtful and kind, I'm truly grateful for how I got to say goodbye to my best girl. The spa and resort is also wonderful. They send you progress reports and check in with pictures when your animals stay, which I greatly appreciate. Terrible experience. My puppy was double vaccinated, and the manager Gary I dealt with was unprofessional and lacked basic communication skills. From the very beginning, communication was poor, and the situation dragged on for an incredibly long time without any resolution, accountability, or care. A year later, after visiting another clinic, I finally understood what proper care and professionalism should look like. Sometimes you only recognize the difference through comparison--and I'm genuinely relieved we are no longer clients here. What's even more surprising is that the manager after I left a google review , tried to reach out again, despite already leaving such a strong negative impression. The follow-up itself felt completely out of touch. Not only was there still no real acknowledgment or solution, but he didn't even bother to check how to spell my name correctly. That's not just a small mistake--it reflects a lack of attention, consideration, and overall care. And honestly, it says a lot about the level of professionalism you can expect. read more

My dog Jett was a patient at Harmony since he was a puppy. During that time I easily spent 7K + on his care. I called today to get an appointment to sadly have him euthanized. He is 14.3 years old, just about deaf and blind and can barely walk. When I was quoted a price I was told that he would also need a "wellness exam" naturally at an additional cost. Did they really need to squeeze another $125 out of me before my dog died. Shame on you Harmony Hospital. You can pretend to be this caring place but all you care is about money. read more

My girl can be reactive and the staff is just excellent with dealing with her in a kind and trusting way, My girl is discerning and slow to warm up but Dr Dave has won her over. Excellent service from the time you enter and leave. One doctor noticed a cracked tooth that could be causing nasal issues that we've already spent thousands on trying to diagnose, which first local vet didn't even look at during initial and subsequent visit. Neither did the 2 emergency vet places. We recently have relocated to area and at first went with close by vet, that didn't work out, then I went with proven reviews and award winners. Harmony has met that bill. They might be a tad higher in prices but I know my dogs will get quality care. read more

My cat just finished 2 weeks of antibiotics and she hasn't coughed or had any breathing issues since stopping. So this was absolutely an infection cause by Harmony's lack of infection control. Do not bring your pets here! read more

The lobby and exam rooms are immaculate and roomy. The wait times to be seen are great and the prices are reasonable. We also use and love the Pet resort and spa for daycare and boarding. read more

We had been going here for a while. Eventually we had to put our 13 year old dog to sleep. They had trouble getting him the right dosage to put him down so he was in distress for a good bit while I held him before his finally passing on. It was a really rough day. Our dogs Jacks and Jillian come here for vet appointments, doggie daycare and they have stayed overnight several nights at the amazing boarding facility. My dog stayed at Harmony Animal Hospital for her training with Sit Means Sit in Apex. She has been home over 3 weeks now and has had two illnesses to contend with (a difficult kennel cough plus a "female infection" that has yet to be resolved, with two rounds of antibiotics so far and a few vet visits.) She also came home with a rash on the stomach and some type of chemical burn on her feet, but those are looking better now. While I do understand sending your dog away is kind of like sending your child to daycare where kids can potentially get sick - with all the precautions I took as part of their requirements as well as an extra vet visit before sending her for training, I sort of thought this would not be an issue, and assumed dogs would be kept away from any potentially ill dogs at the overnight animal hospital. I sent my dog with the recommended daily amount of food, she came home with MORE THAN HALF of it uneaten. For ten days nobody reached out, for ten days we have no idea what was added to her food or if anything was added to her food. Additionally, I will note that I did reach out with a question on their social media and never received a response. read more

Boyfriend and I recently adopted a puppy so we had to do our homework to find a Vet that was close to us and knows their stuff. Our first visit to Harmony was definitely a positive one. Dr. Barta and Jennifer answered all of our questions, took great care of Zoey and we left with a binder to keep her records. About a week after our visit we received a letter in the mail with a handwritten note thanking us for our business! We recently had an after hours emergency and had to leave a voicemail with Dr. Jodi (yes, you get her cell phone number), she promptly called us back and offered advice on our issue. The next day we dropped our pup off before heading to work and they took great care of her. They even followed up the next day to make sure everything was okay. This review is for the grooming facility and is not reflective of the veterinary services (we are very happy with the vet). I am frustrated because this is the second time I have made and appointment ahead of time and then find out the day of that appointment was never saved in the system. They never can accommodate or make any exceptions even though the issue is on their end and the next appointment is always over a month away. I am going to find a new place to get my dog groomed but just wanted to caution anyone else who goes there to double check their appointments after scheduling in person or over the phone. read more

My not so little cat Roy and I had a great time for his yearly check up and would recommend anyone to bring their fur family here. Top notch dog day care and boarding. They constantly update us on our dogs. The price is on the hefty end, but they really love the dogs. Ours like going - we can drop off and usually they accommodate last minute drops. It's pricey, but they provide ease of mind for us when we go on longer trips. read more

After being drawn in by the attractive daycare pricing and having to commit to their vet services to use the daycare, the costs started to mount. Vet and grooming services are higher then competitors. Also when my dog caught kennel cough in their kennel and then turned for the worse and caught pneumonia, they did not support me. read more

Harmony Animal Hospital in Apex has an amazing facility, staff and doctors. They don't just offer primary animal care, but also specialists. My dog, Teddy, goes there to see Dr. Elizabeth for orthopedic rehab services. She uses a multi modal approach--medicine, dietary supplements and acupuncture-- that has really helped my Teddy's arthritis. She's awesome!!! But it's not just Dr. Elizabeth and her nurse, Megan, who I greatly appreciate. It's the entire staff, from their practice manager Jason, to his daughter, to the front desk staff and, actually, to everyone we've met. The entire facility is incredible. Our little guy has been a patient here for the past 2 years. He receives his vaccinations and check-ups here. He has even had surgery here which greatly improved his quality of life! We have boarded him here for a week during the holidays. Despite all of this he still eagerly hops out of the car and up to the doors of the spa for his regular grooming appointments. I moved back to the area when my lil Dog was getting close to her first birthday. So, she needed a one-year exam and follow up vaccines. These vets and techs are SO NICE and attentive! Of course it helps having the most adorable dog on the planet... at least the most adorable Yorkie on the planet! They are gentle and thorough with her, making sure she is properly cared for and that I have all of the follow up I need. They even called to ask how she was doing after seeing her for her double ear infection. They certainly do need a new space because they are so cramped in their current location. But their new building looks amazing and we can't wait for our first visit over there. I lost two golden retrievers in 6 months from the veterinarians decisions. Tucker was 10 and Bear was 6.5. Bear went to their daycare after Tucker past and developed pneumonia. It never resolved and he past last night, 6/29/2022. The recommendation from Harmony was to give him Benadryl. They were at one time a good place, but now there are just too many animals and a farm. I will get another golden one day, but never will I return to this place. read more

We have generally been very happy with the care provided by Harmony Vets for our cat, including periodic nail trims, for which they charged about $18.00. This was done by one of the technicians - usually in less than 5 minutes. Today, I called for a nail trim appointment and discovered that, not only had the charge increased to about $21.00, but there would be an additional $20.00 charge for technician services, an hourly rate of approximately $492.00!! THe increase to $21.00 is not unreasonable, but this is outrageous! We have asked for our cat's records and are withdrawing from any use of this practice. Very greedy!! read more

Had to take my dog for emergency visit (fire ants) and they made time to treat her in a compassionate and caring manner. Her treatment was excellent and she is recovering nicely. I have gone to Harmony since 2013, and even though I have now moved 45 minutes away, I still feel our dogs get the most incredible attention and care, always worth the trip. I've been taking my cat, Leo, here for 3 years and they have been phenomenal. A year ago, he got a severe urinary blockage and had to be taken into an emergency vet immediately at about 10pm. I called Dr. Jodi in hysterics and was worried sick and she calmly gave me several suggestions and advised I go to the 24hr vet immediately. I did and it saved his life. Following his treatment, the Dr. Jodi and her staff took excellent care of Leo and called me often to let me know how he was doing and also to check up on him when he got home. Leo has seen Dr. Elise the last few times we've been and she, too, has been amazing. She offered up several suggestions to his inappropriate urinating and was very patient with Leo during his visits (he's very grumpy when he's not at home). I trust them 100% with my fur baby's care. read more

Wow - I have never experienced service this good - anywhere! They feel like a top-of-the-line veterinary care center. The staff are polite, gracious, and welcoming. I took my cat in because he was scratching his ears so much that he was causing them to bleed and scab; I didn't know what was going on! The vet and vet's assistant paid very careful attention to him as they were examining him. The vet mentioned all the possibilities and told me about the different actions they could take, depending on what the problem was. Luckily (in one sense), they took a swab of my cat's ears and realized it was an ear infection that they couldn't see with a general look in his ears - I'm so grateful they took an extra step with the swab. The whole check-up was a comforting process. The bonus was, as a new patient, I received a very nice 3-hole binder with my cat's check-up information, as well as some welcome pamphlets. It was so nice to see that they want to share their doctor's notes with you and give you records of everything - I love the transparency offered by Harmony Animal Hospital. If only other places were this transparent and accommodating! Since I've moved around a lot, I've been to many vets and animal hospitals, and this is the best way by a long measure. read more

Believe the hype. Dr. Jodi is so unbelievable, as is the entire staff at Harmony. I was fed up with my previous vet, so found Harmony through a google search. I was impressed with all of the reviews, especially the ones specifically about Dr. Jodi. Unfortunately my first visit ended up with very bad news. But Dr. Jodi broke it to me gently, gave me a ton of resources, called and checked up on us constantly, never minded me calling her with questions, and even sent a sincere hand written card after everything was done. This is not only the kind of vet that I want to take my beloved animals to, but also the kind of person that was called to this profession. I love the thorough evaluation and typed report that she gives, including the 3 hole punch so it's easily filed. I cannot say enough good things about groomer, Sarah Mercer. She truly loves the furry babies she works with and goes above and beyond for the safety and well-being of every one. Sarah groomed my rather cantankerous Maine Coon (not an easy task) and he looked very dapper with his new "do." I just went to Harmony Animal Hospital this week for the first time. My cat needed his vaccines updated and was also dry coughing. The front staff was very pleasant to work with setting up the appts and checking out. Dr. Eve (Boggs) was our veternarian. She is awesome! She spent quite a bit of time with us and gave my cat a benedryl shot since he had an allergic reaction during his previous vaccinations at a different vet. She explained that I can give him a dose of baby benedryl next time to save money and how much to give him. While we waited for that to kick in she checked him over thoroughly and addressed my concerns about the coughing by checking his lungs and heart. She suggested I break up the vaccines into two visits (1 for each visit) and let me know that he only need those two (again saving me money and my cat grief). We scheduled the next vaccine for a month later and she said there would be no charge for another visit other than the vaccine itself of course. The vet tech Wendie was also very nice and called the next day to check on Caine to make sure he didn't have any reaction to the rabies vaccine. I highly recommend this veterinarian! read more

Dr. Eve was such a blessing to me and my 15 year old dog Penny during the last 4 months of her life. She provided excellent acupuncture to help keep her mobile and active, and an incredibly compassionate, peaceful home euthanasia when our Penny got too sick to go on any longer. She made the process as painless as possible and gave us plenty of time to be with our baby in the end. Now, even though I have to drive 20 minutes to get to the vet (I could easily find one closer), as long as Dr. Eve is at HAH I'll continue taking my new pup there! I've never had a vet like Dr. Eve and I can't recommend her enough to anyone looking for an empathetic, joyful, and personable vet to take care of their fur baby. I have had nothing but good experiences here! They saw my puppy for a second opinion 2 years ago when I did not trust my vet at the time. I now take both of my dogs here for medical care and have reservations for them over the summer to stay in their doggy retreat. They are even building a pool in their impressive play yard/daycare area! I love they have an option to keep my dogs together in sleeping quarters so they will feel safe and secure! Staff are always nice and helpful! I brought my senior dog in for what I thought was something more serious than it was and they comforted me and reassured me she was going to be ok... which indeed she was! They always get my dogs back on track when they aren't feeling well! I was also invited to tour their new facility which I really enjoyed and I feel even safer in my decision to leave my dogs in their care! read more

Words can't describe how brilliant Dr. Eve Boggs is. My wife and I live in SF, but were in NC for the holidays. Our beloved puppy was showing signs for Giardia and had some other things were were concerned about so we brought him in to see Dr. Boggs. Dr. Boggs blew us away. She spent almost an hour talking to us answering any questions we had. She also gave us her email and sent a report card outlining everything she said to us in person. Her staff was equally as amazing. We are so bummed that she can't be our regular vet, but we will always stay in touch. You couldn't ask for a better vet. She IS THE BEST. read more

Oh how I wish we could have taken this hospital back to CA with us. Highly recommend. Haven't found anyone at home -- or previous homes -- we like nearly as much. We saw Dr. Eve for acupuncture for my pup's allergies (which were super severe during our extended visit in NC spring). I'd tried acupuncture with him before, he didn't like it, or at least didn't like who was administering it. Dr. Eve listened to HIM and he responded very well. (If you know acupuncture, and points, he let her put a liver point in his foot without flinching. That's remarkable.) We also saw Dr. Jodi between visits for my pup's ear infection. Highly recommend her as well. Debbie at the front desk is also wonderful. And we've seen a lot of vets in our travels and allergies... Also, they didn't charge for this courtesy check, which I thought was classy. My favorite vet office of many many offices. Really wish it was local. Also, while I'd suggest other pet insurances that cover supplements and homeopathy, my VPI does cover acupuncture at 100%...certainly something to consider if you don't have a preexisting condition.
