I have 2 Morgan geldings and Mary took the time to know them and their habits. She took care to feed them according to the directions including giving my older guy his meds. I highly recommend Mary from Dog, Cats & Chickens for pet sitting. I live in Briar Chapel with a special needs dog and high-maintenance cat. Mary recently stayed at our house and took care of our pets for almost a week. Our rescue dog Beignet has megaesophagus which requires special feeding procedures, special hydration, general vigilance and twice daily medication. Our rescue cat has occasional litterbox issues. After meeting Mary (and her well-trained cute dog) a few times, we trusted Mary completely to take good care of both pets. In fact, both animals thrived under her care and had a great time as well. Mary is patient, kind, loves animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. She took the time to understand Beignet's special needs and even made videos of all our instructions and procedures. We got fun updates, photos and videos while we were away to keep us entertained and confident that our pets were in safe and loving hands. As an added bonus, Mary was the best houseguest ever and we came back to a cleaner house than when we left. Amazing! Our long term farm sitter and helper moved away and we looked long and far before finding Mary, who is super professional, very reliable, and great with people and the animals. We found a real gem in Mary Gillogly of Dogs, Cats and Chickens. We had to go out of town for a couple of weeks. We were reluctant to board our senior dog who doesn't walk, see or hear very well. We also have feisty younger dog and a cat. Mary came over ahead of time to make sure her dog, Cashew would get along with our guys. They sure did! Mary was terrific with all of them. She frequently sent videos or texts to let us know how everything was going. In addition to our pets, she took care of things inside, outside, getting mail, and watering plants. She also did some cleaning, which was unexpected, but very appreciated. When we got home, our animals were happy, and obviously well cared for. I usually do not give bad reviews but this was the first time I have had an issue with a buisiness. My family and I are looking for options for dog sitting or boarding. My parents sent a pic of the buisiness card but did not have access to the QR code so I figured I'd call just to get some more info. Someone picked up then gave a big huff or a sigh then hung up on me. I definitely made sure I called the right number. I understand that this person may have been having a rough day. We were so thrilled to have met Mary Gillogly, owner of Dogs, Cats and Chickens a few months ago before our very busy collegiate sports travel schedule! We have two Wheaten Terriers, a 12.5 year old with senior health issues and a 4 year old who has Addison's disease and needs time to trust someone new. After our initial conversation, Mary made an appointment for a "meet and greet"in our home and then a subsequent play time in a park for our dogs to meet her dog, Cashew. I was very impressed with her patience, experience and great energy! I also called her references and all were very positive. We have had Mary stay in our home for many extended overnights as well as many drop ins. The communication with Mary before, during and after is so professional and most importantly both of our dogs are so comfortable, happy and relaxed when Mary and Cashew care and play with them. Oh, and our home is always cleaner after Mary's visits with sweet notes. Mary administers medicine to both dogs and truly loves all animals and people! Mary is the best! She took care of our two rambunctious labs, two finicky cats, various plants and our home while we were away, leaving us with nothing but hilarious video updates and peace of mind. She met us ahead of time to ensure Cashew would get along with our pups and they hit it off! In fact, the addition of Cashew to the pack makes it seem like our pups get a special vacation too. She stayed in our home, kept everything neat and tidy, responded to my texts in a very timely fashion and did an all around great job. And all for about the same price as if we had boarded our pets.
