Do not go to these people. They make you pay a deposit when you make an appointment. I had a sick puppy and they wouldn't see him, said they don't take emergencies! Another vet saw him and I am very happy with them! I had to cancel an appointment the same day because I had an emergency appointment at my own doctor and it ran late. If you like spending money, this is the place. Procedure after procedure, test after test. No real care plan. Try to scare you into doing more and more. I'm convinced had I let them continue, my cat would be dead now. They wanted to do surgery. Upon a second opinion, I was told by a vet I trust 100%, he was too too weak for anesthesia. My little Maltese just turned 14 and has ailments as a result. He was living with my parents for several years prior to coming back to live with me and they took him to Riverstone. Although it is far away for me, when he started to drink a ton, lost a bunch of weight and was falling down the stairs frequently, I wanted to take him to a trusted place so I returned with him this past May. 800 dollars later, I was told that they couldn't find anything wrong but should check out a specialist. That was great news to me, as I was preparing myself for the worst! A few weeks ago when he started having seizures, I brought him to a new vet closer to me. This doctor did the same things that Riverstone did only he found stuff. He also did a an ultrasound and found cysts on his kidneys- Riverstone doctor said she found nothing. He ran blood tests using the same machine that Riverstone used and his liver enzymes were off the charts, same as they were at Riverstone, but he sent the blood off for further Testing. Riverstone ignored not being able to get an accurate read and just told me there were no abnormalities- which there were. The new Vet I visited decided to admit my dog to the hospital for 4 days of IV fluids. His kidney and liver reading are now almost normal. This is just one of many items that have improved in his health. Boy do I wish I could get that 800 bucks back from Riverstone! But even more glad I had the sense not to go back there and finally get some treatment for my pup. These were huge misses by Riverstone and given I am not a doctor, I would have never known the difference. Take your loved babies to a different practice. read more

It's so great to find a vet that cares about your dogs as much as you do and really seems involved. We brought our dog here on a Saturday afternoon when our normal vet was closed. The customer service provided by everyone we encountered was excellent, the vet seemed to really care and give helpful information that we could use beyond this visit. The atmosphere of the office was even much nicer than most places. Their location is not the closest vet to us however after this first visit they have me wanting to continue to go back there. read more

I love all of the staff here. Dr Ashley is our pets primary doctor but dr. Greg is just as fantastic! The techs all are sweet and so good with all breeds! I have pitties and huskeys two very different temperaments and they are always kind and loving to our babies. Facility is always clean, boarding options are great! With pictures and other features available for over protective fur parents! I moved about an hour away and I still make the drive for yearly check ups and vaccines bc I trust them so much. read more

Was new to the area and took my dog to this clinic when I had awoken in the morning and my dog has severe bloody diarrhea. They suspected hemorrhagic gastroenteritis and started her on fluids. They suggested she stay overnight and possibly a couple days on IV fluids. I agreed. My husband and I wanted to come visit her before work the next day so we arrived at 7 AM to see her as soon as they opened. Apparently the building had lost power overnight. When we went back to see her, her IV fluid pump had stopped due to the power outage. To my horror my dog was VERY lethargic and was cold to the touch but was alive...but barely. The staff called the vet and they said we needed to rush her to Cobb Emergency Vet Clinic. After 3 days at the emergency clinic, we were finally able to take her home. Had this vet clinic informed us that there would be no one monitoring her overnight and that there were no systems in place where clinic staff would be informed of a power outage I NEVER would have left her there. To add insult to injury, the clinic charged me full price for their horribly subpar care for my dog. IN RESPONSE TO UPDATE FROM CLINIC--thrilled to hear that changes to your procedures occurred because of the incidence. It seems to me that we remember the incident differently. I was definitely not informed that there would be no one there overnight but I also did not know to specifically ask that. I would have opted to send her to an emergency clinic had I known. When your pet is having a medical crisis I think it should be clearly stated that she would be alone overnight. I did not feel like the vets or office manager were apologetic or sympathetic to what had happened. Maybe that was to try to deflect their culpability though. Who knows. Regardless I was not happy and let you all know that and nothing was done in my opinion to retain me as a client. So I took my 9 pets elsewhere and have been happy with that decision. read more

We have been very happy with the medical care that Dr. Greg and his staff have provided when we needed to get our English bulldogs and Great Pyrenees examined. On each occasion the tests that they ran yielded treatments and recommendations that solved the problem. Their diagnostic skills are extremely accurate. I tried every vet around Canton with less than satisfactory results before going to Riverstone Animal Hospital. My dogs have never had anything but the best treatment at Riverstone Animal Hospital. The doctors take ample time with both the dogs and me when we visit and their fees are competitive. I want a doctor who will do what is necessary to get to the root of the problem and get my dogs well ASAP and Riverstone Animal Hospital delivers on that expectation. Never again! My dog was a client. Had surgery and followup care ar Riverstone. When I called to come in on short notice as my pet was bleeding from a tumor that blew up after surgery next to it. After 3 phone calls the staff told me they were too busy to see my pet - their client. Real lack of concern and zero consideration for their client. My 2 cats stayed for about 3 weeks while I moved to the area. Great atmosphere and for most part staff was knowledgeable and courteous. There was a situation were the was a lack of communication between staff and received duplicate phone calls with the same questions. Also, a staff member tried to over talk me on my knowledge of my cats and made choices on her own about my cats based on her basic knowledge of cats but should ve spoke to me on their character and behavior. Quite simply, the staff at Riverstone is an amazing group of individuals who all endeavor to provide the best care for your pets whether you are boarding or using their veterinary services. I can honestly say that everyone that works there genuinely loves both what they do and the critters they get to work with. The doctors will actually spend time with you and your pet to get to the bottom of any issue and explain everything they can or will be doing. The vet techs actually enjoy working with our girls (2 dogs from the same litter who are now 11) and the girls nearly pull me off my feet trying to get thorough the door and greet them whenever we board them. Bottom line, if you want to take your pets somewhere they will be cared for, loved and safe, then take them to Riverstone. I promise you will not be disappointed! read more

They have taken great care of our 11 year old golden retriever with bad allergies - they were able to get his allergies under control. We board our pets here whenever we are out of town. DO NOT take your pets to Riverstone Animal Hospital. The doctors, especially Dr. Greg Nutt are all doom and gloom, and at the end of the day they want to rack up a big bill, and they really don't care if your animals live or die. Plus they charged us over $40 just to weigh our cat and they called that an "examination". PLEASE do what we did, we got a second opinion from holistic veterinarians, and it saved our cats life. read more

We have been bringing our dog to Dr Trisick since she was at North Springs Animal Clinic. Luckily, we moved to this side of town the same time Dr Trisick did and we were able to continue bringing our dog Sugar to see her. Although, we probably would have still continued to bring her to see Dr Trisick because she is fantastic. She has seen Sugar through a great many ailments and always treats her, and us, with kindness and caring when we come to see her. Even though our dog is terrified of going to the vet, she knows and likes Dr Trisick because she is so gentle and comforting toward her. We're going through some new issues with our dog and Dr Trisick is involved and advising us all the way. We are moving to California in the fall and we will never be able to replace Dr Trisick but we hope we can find someone even half as good! You and your pet would be in very good hands here! read more

We walked in for a same-day appointment with our sick cat, hoping that all the good reviews we've read about this place were true. Thankfully, they are. We were treated extremely kindly by all the staff- who happen to be some of the nicest people I've ever met, by the way. Everyone was knowledgeable and friendly, and we didn't even wait 5 minutes before we were helped and shown into a room (by the way this place is both SUPER clean AND comfortable). We were also offered drinks (coffee, water, soda, they have it all). They were very nice to our cat, and we never felt worried about his health or safety in their (experienced) hands. The exam was thorough, and they needed to do blood work to check up on his thyroid, and we discovered he had a heart murmur as well as a cavity. Doctor was very calm and knew exactly what she was doing. The bill (for blood work and exam) totaled to $200, so less than what we were expecting, and we were glad for it. All in all, we will probably be coming back to this vet for all of our animals for the rest of our lives. Best vet experience ever. :) read more
