Health care providers are also nearby and food can be prepared in the kitchenette in her apartment. There are movies and games scheduled as well as musicians often in the Common Area. COVID precautons have been excellent and Rich, the general manager, has stayed on top of COVID spreading and adjusted procedures as needed to keep residents and employees safe. He, along with Kim (who plans and organizes the activities), Cheryl (the charming and accomadating Office Manager) and Craig, is the biggest asset in The Manor. Rich and staff make my mother feel like the VIP that she is! The maintainance and dining room/kitchen staff are also on point. We have been, and plan to continue to be, very pleased with the service Rich Dilello and staff have provided!

All staff need to wear name tags with LARGE PRINT NAME AND POSITION, facing out please. Residents are not showered with adequate frequency.

Mine spent time in the personal care unit prior to transitioning to an independent cottage. The director, Dave Manton and his staff made all of the transitions seamless and easy. It is such an emotional process when parents give up their home to move into more long-term retirement care. The help we have received cannot be calculated in mere dollars, as it has been invaluable. We too compared other care facilities and none measured up to CC standards and quality of community. It is truly a gem of a place located in the lovely town of Carlisle, PA.

My mother lived at Country Meadows for 17 months, under their Independent Living Signature program…read more Unfortunately, we had to move my mother elsewhere when Country Meadows decided to eliminate the IL program, which would have meant we would have had to pay an additional $2,000/month just for someone to administer her medications (the only service she needed) . . . ridiculous!! Then they tried to tell me I only had 3 weeks to move her out, or pay the extra money. Too bad for them I pulled a copy of the lease which said they had to give me written notification AND give me 30-days notice. After I sent an email to Michael Leader, the Mechanicsburg mgmt called me and was not very happy that I went over their heads. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Country Meadows!! They took fantastic care of my mother, and we will miss them. But, I cannot say ANY good things about the management! The Executive Director, Amanda, and the Director of Resident Services, Olivia, are shady and incompetent, and don't care one bit about the residents there. They only care about money! It's so bad that most of the staff don't trust them either! More than once they tried to pull a fast one with me, but luckily I kept copies of every email, every document they sent me. So any time they tried to pull something, I'd call them out on it. I think it's safe to say they didn't like me very much because I didn't put up with their crap! So, if you're thinking about putting a parent in Country Meadows, you'll be very happy with the personal care they'll receive. But make sure you keep copies of ALL communications with management and DO NOT let them push you around!! Ultimately, you know what's best for your parent, so stick to your guns! They will try to convince you your parent needs a higher level of care, just so they can make more money. As much as we will miss the staff at Country Meadows, we were very happy to get out of that place!!!

But I wanted to send a wonderful review of the staff and facility. My Mom was no longer able to live by herself in her home because of declining mobility. It was a difficult decision to persuade her to move to assisted living, but she knew she had no choice. We picked Juniper because it's so close to our home and the staff seemed very caring and helpful. Her first week was difficult. She spent a lot of time in her room. We encouraged her to get involved in activities along with the staff and she did. Now when we called her she wasn't in her room. She was bowling, playing bingo or doing another activity. The staff really got her involved. She made a lot of friends. The nursing staff was very caring. They took care of her medications and all of her other needs. I can't thank them enough for the love and caring they showed my Mom. These ladies loved my Mom and would do anything for her. I can say that I would recommend this facility to anybody looking for a safe place to place their loved one. I miss everybody there. They made my wife and I along with our children and grandchildren feel welcome.

I've gone in several times to see food and drink spilled on her clothes when she was able to feed herself. We pay a lot of money for mediocre care. Also, my husband was having his mom sign some paperwork and a nurse (Dawn) asks what it was. (Not really her business) and when he made a smart comment, she proceeded to call other family members accusing him of doing something illegal?? THEN the business office says they are reporting him for elder abuse?? He is there daily to feed and visit his mother and is her POA. This is completely unacceptable and adds more stress to a family already dealing seeing their mom declining. This is not what long term care should be like. I would recommend Bethany Village. I've have good experiences at that facility.
