Mark did an excellent job tuning my unknown background, Facebook marketplace, completely out of tune piano. He meticulously transformed it into what I imagine is it's once former glory and now it sounds like a brand new piano!! Yesterday, Mark came to our place to tune my daughter's Yamaha piano that, while played daily, hadn't been tuned since before the pandemic. It wasn't enough for him to put it perfectly in tune...no, he actually voiced it to match the acoustics of our living room, or so he said. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference, but Mark insisted that he could. When I told my daughter (who wasn't home at the time) about it, she rolled her eyes and insinuated that I'd been sold a bill of goods and that it wouldn't make a bit of difference. Then she sat down and played it. The difference to her trained ear was stunning and she's so appreciative of Mark's artistry. 100% worth it. read more

Arrived right on time, did an excellent job. Cleaned, tuned, lubricated the keys and also wiped everything down. Worked diligently and also helped get a pencil that I accidently dropped in the piano dislodged (it was stuck in there). Will continue to use annually. truthfully, you guys made me sign up for yelp in order to write this review. However, I don't mind doing it, because when mark came over, he definitely was a huge part of changing my life for the better. in addition to wonderfully tuning my piano, he was also a pleasure to be around, and he was prompt, and he finished early, and he made improvements to my piano, that I didn't ask for, stuff I didn't know to ask for, and that I would never have anticipated. Mark is a true genius at what he does, and he's so great at it that he is confident in his abilities, and I appreciated that. Truthfully, because I am cheap, I tried to offer Mark a lower rate than what he deserved. And, Mark calmly worked on my piano, and I was more than happy to meet his rate. By the way, I was just being cheap, I have done my own research and you won't really find a better deal than Mark. I also promise you that he didn't pay me to write this. I bought a piano off of facebook marketplace from someone just trying to get rid of it. Several keys were stuck down and the previous owner tried to adjust the piano themselves making it nearly impossible to play and have anything sound good. There was something wrong with nearly every key and the hammers, etc. I thought I was going to be told that it was not worth repairing, but Mark was amazing and took the whole piano apart, lubricated the keys and adjusted every single key individually until it played like a beautiful brand new piano. He spent three hours in my home to do this despite the fact the standard appointment is 2hrs. I thought he would add on additional fee for the extra time, but he assured me it was a flat fee for all he did. You could tell he had a passion for restoring pianos and really cared about the instrument. He was very friendly and did not mind explaining and showing what he was doing. I will be recommending to everyone I know who owns a piano. He charged $275 for his time which I thought was more than reasonable for the amount of labor spent on the piano.
