I decided to get my home painted rather suddenly. First was to get some estimates. Haro was in the middle. He came on the day agreed along with part of his team. They were amazing. My home was built in 1956. They went above and beyond in preparing my home for painting. Patching, taping, scraping, everything necessary to provide a good foundation to begin painting. They even made my patio cover look new. His team worked hard, even in the heat. I never heard any profanities either. Great workers. We hired Haro's Painting Services to paint the exterior of our two-story home. I must say that we actually thought twice about hiring Mr. Haro and was, in fact, forewarned of his unprofessional, unreliable conduct by a friend who had used him previously. Just as warned, we too suffered his arrogant, cocky personality right from the start and it was downhill from that point on. There are so many missteps to mention, but I'll just elaborate on the ones that stand out the most and believe me, these are true and accurate accounts: Mr. Haro's business lacks the customer care layer which is absolutely pertinent for a company that provides home improvement services. There was no coordination, collaboration or verification of colors (and as a result, we actually chose an incorrect color that we had to pay for, although we feel we were not to blame for the error). Communication and meeting of the minds with the client is simply not a work ethic that Mr. Haro's company possess and this was evident throughout the entire process. We took it upon ourselves to use an on-line paint tool in order to communicate what colors went where and this proved to be a bad idea, which actually cost us an additional $225 (as they say, no good deed goes unpunished). In the end, when less than positive feedback was expressed by my husband, Mr. Haro engaged in what we describe as an adult temper tantrum. He spewed on and on about how we complained about every "little thing" (like our 19 year old Sequoia Redwood tree being lopped down unevenly on one side in order to expose the house exterior for painting or him/his crew not showing up on days that we were told they would--you know, just minor things like that). He was so gracious about resolving the tree issue, initially. Who knew that he was secretly agitated to the point that he taunted and teased about it in a fit of rage, revealing his true colors and just how disingenuous he truly is. Imagine a business owner resulting in this type of behavior towards his client. He went so far as to use profanity (oh, yes, "F" bombs and all) and fired unnecessary, unwarranted personal insults at my husband. He displayed the utmost disrespect to my husband, who happens to be nearly twice his age. Who treats well paying (to the tune of nearly $6,000), decent people/customers like this? Vince Haro Jr. is the epitome of unprofessionalism and I wouldn't recommend his services to anyone. We've had several inquiries based on the awesome job that "his workers" did on the house (who, by the way, were pretty much the only ones we had contact with during the entire project), but unfortunately, they fall under his command and management. It now pains me to even look at the exterior of my house as I pull in and out of my garage, because it's a constant reminder of this most unpleasant experience. Take heed and beware of a wolf in sheep's clothing!! read more

We hired Haro Painting Services to paint our cabinets and had a terrible experience. (And our cabinets look just as bad as we feel) when they came to our home to start painting I realized they were starting to paint without masking anything? Without covering our appliances? A paint sprayer would have covered our brand new appliances and counter tops in paint. The painter said that would take too long, he is 'professional', 'knows how to aim' and if he got anything on the appliances he could wipe it off. Uhh??? No way. It's industry standard to mask EVERYTHING. I called my husband to let him know I was worried, and five minutes later the painter came stomping towards my bedroom and push open the door says 'so you called Vince to tell on me huh'. I was 9 months pregnant and on bed rest, so I was in bed. I told him I didn't call Vince and it's possible my husband did. He told me because I'm so worried about my 'squeaky clean home' his boss was making him paint by hand instead and it would take him 'triple the time'. We should have fired them after the painter acted so aggressive with me, but they had all of our cabinet doors offsite and we were worried they would cause issues with giving them back. After the first few hours of him painting, I saw him standing on top of our washing machine to paint the cabinets above it. I'll attach a photo. His ladder was right there, but too lazy to move it and use that instead. He dented the top of my washing machine. I told the owner about it and he ignored it. That appliance was delivered just days before they came to paint and was over A thousand dollars. In our kitchen, he splattered paint all over our new quartz countertops. He got paint all over our new appliances. He didn't mask anything of course, so there's paint all over the walls next to the cabinets. He didn't paint the undersides of the cabinets. He was painting on top of wet paint so it all clumped up. He didn't mask of the insides of the drawers so there's paint all over them. Everyday my husband would contact the owner out of concern and he promised to make it right, but only argued that me being pregnant 'stressed out' his painter so that's why he did such a sloppy job. We in no way rushed his painter, in fact, we opted to have him hand paint everything which we knew would take longer! His painter made our house look terrible because he was frustrated that he had to paint by hand. This 'lead painter' is the one who barged into my room and was extremely passive aggressive the whole time he was in our home. We used other local businesses during our remodel and had wonderful relationships with them all, but I'd steer clear of Haro Painting. They are so unprofessional and unpleasant. We spent thousands on countertops to now have clumpy paint and runs all over our cabinets :( and a nice big dent in our brand new washing machine! read more
