I asked to speak to management I was told no one was available. This location is closest to me, and it satisfies my cravings for fried chicken with mild sauce especially when I'm unable to get to an Uncle Remus. I usually go with the 1/2 chicken or 8 piece mixed chicken with mild sauce, and I'd do a box of taffy grapes. Taffy grapes are amazing, and you should totally try them if you haven't had them or know what they are. They get their taffy grapes from the Cake Factory, and it's always been good quality and the grapes are actually a decent size. I've been to this location once to pick up my food, but I don't like maneuvering around their tiny drive thru and small parking lot. It gets claustrophobic, and their phone lines can get busy where you'd have to try 5 or 6 times in a row. It's better to just order delivery via Grubhub and someone else can take me my food. The chicken is fresh, and they're generous with the sauce here. I like how they gave me my mild sauces on the side in small plastic containers, so my chicken doesn't feel soggy by the time it arrives to me. I also prefer the plastic cups instead of styrofoam because it's sturdier. It allowed me the option of dipping or smothering my chicken. Both the food and service are amazing; especially given it's a chain. The employees are attentive, answer the phone& call you when your order is ready which makes everything much more efficient! I placed my order for pick up through door dash and waited for over an hour just for the restaurant to NEVER confirm the order and literally close on my pending order. This is the last time I'll be visiting this location. Let's start with the young lady who took the order, unprofessional would be a compliment. Nevertheless the order was placed and we got the order home. I intentionally get my food with no sauce to check it. It appeared to be ok, however shortly after I ate some, I felt ill. For the remainder of the day i suffered abdominal pains to the point I considered going to the emergency room. I don't know why this location is rated so low. When I worked in town I went to this location and it was always fantastic. The chicken pieces are large and very juicy. The servings are more than enough for one person specially since they come with fries and a random piece of bread. Now that I don't work in town, I order from this location on Grubhub and the service is always top tier. The orders come quick and it's well packaged, always hot and fresh.
