I placed my order at the counter, and was told there would be a wait because they were backed up. Fair enough, but the time on my receipt was 6:09, and I received my order at 6:53. Forty four minutes is, in my opinion, an excessive wait for a sandwich and fries. That said, the honey butter mild chicken sandwich was good, as expected. The fries could have been crispier. Came here a couple of weeks ago for lunch. Had dine in since you can't get the wing flight to go. We ordered a couple of chicken sandwiches and I decided to try the chicken strip plate. I started off with little insanity the hottest. I was only able to eat half a strip. The next day I tried crazy their second hottest Ken was also only able to eat half a strip. If you like hot, they can meet your needs here. Food was cooked. Very good. Very moist. Definitely a good place to go to. read more

Food is so good here. I always get the tenders meal that comes with fries and coleslaw. 3 tenders come with the order and they are pretty large and get you full. The cook and flavor on the tenders is pretty darn good. The tenders are juicy and hot. The fries are a good companion and even the slaw has great flavor and isn't drowned. A perfect meal IMO. There can be a bit of a wait (20 to 30 min.), so it's best to order online as early as possible. read more

Been going to Fry the Coop for quite some time and they always deliver. Online ordered the 3 piece tenders with fries and coop sauce. It was ready in 10 minutes. Walked in straight to the pickup counter and had no problems whatsoever. Tenders had the perfect amount of flavor and the fries were still crispy when I got home. To top it off the tenders and fries are cooked in TALLOW! What isn't there to like about that. read more

Tried for the 1st time on National Donut Day. There was a colab with stans donuts. The sandwich included a stans sugar donut cut in half and Fry the coop chicken it was a good sandwich. I decided on the medium heat, which was more mild with very little heat. The sandwich itself was tasty, but I wish I had ordered a more spicy chicken piece. Got the spicy honey sandwich. The sandwich don't come with pickles very disappointing thought all sandwiches had pickles. Other then that the sandwich was pretty good got the medium spice level not spicy in my opinion. The fries were not good at all! Very salty on the regular fries. The seasoned fried were also not good. No flavor for seasoned fries. The fountain drinks were also nasty machine needs to be cleaned or something. Pricing is a little more than average for a combo. Why do I even try anymore? Chicken & Cheese sandwich is up to $13, and is smaller and drier than ever. One end of my chicken breast was only about 1/4 inch thick, the other end was about 3/4 inch. Chicken was totally dried out but drenched with some kind of sloppy gross sauce I didnt ask for, that was like catsup and mayo mixed. To me, this place is a proven joke, but judge for yourselves if you get your moneys worth. And enjoy all the ambulance sirens skreeching by every 5 minutes while you're trying to relax and have some lunch. No wonder they had more employees than customers. read more

The food is always great. If you want a good, crispy and spicy chicken sandwich this is the place to get it. The flavor is good and the spice levels are perfect. Customer service is great. The staff is so helpful and nice. I also like the set up of the restaurant. I think the whole being able to write on the wall with chalk is a pretty good idea. Soooo cold in here you can feel the ice cold air on your clothes. Thinking it's always cold here but this is like china where there is no heat in public places. Food was okay. Customer Service was not. There was confusion with my order and rather than trying to resolve it the girls rolled their eyes and turned their backs and ignored me. I called the manager and he said he witnessed it and had a talk with them that this was not handled correctly but he failed to jump in a resolve the issue as well. He let me leave very unhappy. I will not be back and will make sure my friends know not to waste their money or time here. read more

Pre-pandemic, Fry the Coop was a favorite local-ish place to go when nursing a hankering for hot chicken. I hadn't been to this location but when I was down on the south side anyway I thought this would be a nice treat since I haven't been there in over three years, since before the pandemic began. It's still good but there have been some changes. Prices have increased, of course. That's an overall given. But surprisingly, there are no sides included with your meal. I suppose this shouldn't really be a surprise since most fast-food type places don't include a side with your meal, but FtC did used to include fries with your chicken, I'm pretty sure. On the other hand, if you go to other fast food places it's cheaper. So with the cost of the chicken PLUS the cost of any side (fries were $4!), it gets a bit steep pretty quickly. But luckily it's still really good. They have six heat levels here, and from past experience I know that the third level is plenty for me. It's spicy and can leave your lips tingling, but also you can taste a bit of sweetness too. Fries are good; they may be homemade? This location has outdoor seating as well for those warmer months. There's also a small parking lot which maybe could get hard to park when it's busier, since there are other businesses here as well, but it's possible you could park on the side street along here too. read more

They have heat levels, so you don't have to fear struggling through it, lol. The fries can be a hir or miss. This evening I stopped in for the first time to try out the Hot Tennessee chicken sandwich I've been stalking for quite a few months... Can you say... Damn it was good!? Customer service was okay, the only disappointment was that I felt the seasoned fries plus the very seasoned sandwich was too much. I think next time I'll just get regular fries. They are kinda pricey, I ordered two meals and payed about $36... I probably won't bring my kids here lol just come by myself but I definitely enjoyed the food. Food was great. Visited this evening August 6, 2025. Service of 1 worker HORRIBLE. During my visit, I witnessed a food worker handling cash while wearing gloves and then proceeding to handle food without changing those gloves. After I brought this to the attention of another employee, he appeared to inform the worker involved. However, despite being made aware of the issue, she continued handling food with the same gloves on. When she handled my food, I proceeded to stop her and tell the other worker to please handle my food. August 7, 2025, The owner responded immediately with much concern over this incident. I spent $35 on food today and it was a complete waste of money! I ordered two sandwiches, they were ok two seasoned fries that were both COLD as if they've been sitting out I got medium drinks that were obviously small sized one soda one strawberry milkshake. I will never return here I would've been better going to McDonald's & I haven't eaten them in years but A fish sandwich meal with a medium milkshake would've been work my buck way more then the money WASTED at this place! Phenomenal is the word that comes to mind when describing these chicken sandwiches and fries. I guess the double fried in beef fat pays off. I love chicken and waffles. Growing up in Los Angeles, one of my favorite Restaurants was Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. The combination of the already irresistible fried chicken, combined with the syrup-drenched breakfast classic-- it's just magical. By comparison, I have to admit that this chicken was a little disappointing. Food: Though well seasoned, I found the chicken to be a tad dry. The waffles and fries were good-- the fries were extremely fresh and crispy, and who doesn't love a waffle. I'd probably eat a waffle even if it had fallen into a dumpster. Ambience: Fast food vibe, with numerous tables and booths, in a 50's color scheme of red and white checkerboard. Around lunchtime it was busy and bustling. Service: Good. The food came out relatively fast, given how many people were there. Judging from the other reviews, it seems like the quality of the food here is of varying consistency.
