My friend called me and said that she was in the Gas N Wash on 183rd and LaGrange and asked if I wanted anything. I said sure, from Bob's Hienie's McCarthy's, can you grab 6 wings and a potato wedge, fried extra crispy? She obliged. When I received them, it was perfect! Meaty, juicy, crispy, hot, wings. The wedges were crispy and delicious. I was happy. So happy that I wanted it again. I went on my own a couple of weeks later and placed the same order. But when I got home I unpackaged the complete opposite of what my friend retrieved for me. Small, tiny, soft wings. I was not happy. I went to social media about it. The manager didn't like that and said she wanted to talk about it. In a raised voice, I was told about all the calls she received from OTHER patrons complaining about their wings and how they were not happy. That made me happy that I wasn't by myself on this subject! She offered a credit or a make up meal but I declined. The other customers calling was vindication enough for me! I deleted the social media post and went on my way. Which brings me to the last visit. I gave them one more try. I went there with an attitude just knowing I would be disappointed. But I wasn't. Was it as good as the visit from the friend of mine? No. Was it as bad as when I went? No. Nevertheless, a good meal. It seems like they have some consistency issues. So, will I eat there again? I have always loved Heine's. However, tonight they should have done better. Nobody should have to wait 30 minutes in a drive-thru. Yet, that's what I was forced to do (no way to get out of line at Tinley location). After 20 minutes of waiting, I actually called them from my car. I was given a apology and told they had a big order to fill and it would probably be another 10 minutes (it was). I finally got my food, and after waiting 30 minutes, it wasn't even hot! Barely warm. This place tastes absolutely nothing like the original. I came here today and came through the drive thru. I ordered a 10 piece chicken chunk combo, which was supposed to be $9.75 according to the menu board. It rang up $10.10. OK not a big deal. The chicken was extremely dry and had literally no seasoning or flavor. It was not made fresh at all and needed sauce to even fix the dryness. The wedges were huge and decent. The Dr Pepper was flat. Good afternoon, So disappointed at Bob Hienie's McCarthy. First the lady at the register SO RUDE. Every-time we get our food it's is COLD!! Tell me it takes less than a minute to fry chicken nuggets, I don't think so. Her attitude is awful. Let her try the cold food and see if she would like it. This is not the first time but will definitely be the last time I ever go there. No customer service at all. The gas station is so nice as is Orland Bakery!! First time trying Bob's Heinie's McCarthy's - No cars in the drive thru lane - Bonus! Ordered a 1/2 lb Shrimp (not dinner) and a regular size order of cauliflower chunks. Both were amazing. But.... No sauce for the cauliflower chunks. The breading is very good but would've been hard to eat an order without some dipping sauce. I didn't ask for any and the young lady didn't ask if I wanted any. The shrimp were tasty, large and filling. It comes with 2 Cocktail sauce cups and I ordered 1 extra. It wasn't needed. The down side - including no ranch dipping fir the cauliflower chunks includes the following- It took a bit longer than expected but the plus side is that the food was hot and flavorful when I got it home. The other downer was that there wasn't a single napkin in the bag. If I was eating on the fly it would've been a problem. I will return and look forward to trying lire menu items. Was so excited that they opened a location here, with a drive thru! However I was very disappointed with the wait time. There was only one vehicle ahead of me in the drive thru, I ordered a 8pc and a half pound of shrimp and it took over 30mins to get my order. First of all, I am very familiar with Hienie's Chicken going way back to their original location in South Deering. I grew up on the southeast side so my family grew up eating from this establishment. I moved to Orland Park a couple of years ago so I was very happy to try both Hienie's locations. I just recently came to the gas station location to get some food to go at the drive thru. The employees and food was amazing! I had to write this review after seeing some negative comments on Google. NOT every fast food place is perfect by all means. But to be honest and frank, this is a chicken and seafood place, NOT McDonald's! If your going to cry and whine about how long you have to wait for FRESH chicken let alone shrimp, then you have no business spending money here. You need to go use the McDonald's app and oder a $2 Mc chicken with salty greasy fries! Also, if you actually take time to read a damn menu in person or online, it clearly states what's included in your meals. Each Hienie's location varies. So if you are not sure, it doesn't hurt to ask PRIOR to ordering. Don't wait to open your mouth and use it for nonsense and trying to get something for free. No matter where you order food from, customers need to stop acting like they are entitled and start appreciating who is making YOUR damn food! It's not an easy job! Plus, fast food workers don't get paid enough to put up with people's ignorance and shady mentality.
