Super rude. No one wears a mask, not even workers! Waitress was nice but management up front asked everyone in my party for their Id even though I was told on the phone it was a family restaurant(we are 20/21). I have been going to Harold's Place for a couple of years now. The atmosphere is just perfect for the tiki bar/key west theme. This is an Ohio State University Bar. It is completely outdoor seating, pool, palms, and a true Key West vibe. You can find a large assortment of drinks and food options. They are know for having great burgers at a reasonable price. I also enjoy their cucumber margaritas. The staff is pleasant and quick to order everything from their touch pad POS systems. The drinks are a bit small for their price but taste great. Affordable and tucked away from sight from the road. The hotel is also attached as well as a Fuji Yama. I will continue to return. read more

I wasn't impressed at all. As soon as we walked in I got excited because it was so cute, pretty pool, cool Tikki style bar, laid back...very Un-Naples. But then it took a server, or anyone at least 15 minutes to approach us,(about 3 tables active at the time), So we went up to the bar and got our drinks ( watered down, average), eventually they took our order (cheese burger "BEST IN NAPLES") (NOT even close) and shrimp skewers. Food was basically pretty bland, the burger was OK... just Ok, not something worth ever talking about. And those shoestring fries were shameful. Shrimp, gross. Cleanliness? ha. Extra stars for the atmosphere...the tiki hut overlooking the beautiful pool is a plus. Driving by on US41 you'd never know it exists behind the hotel. The place was packed at 8:30pm on a Saturday night with older snowbirds. Bourbon selection is bad. How about some Blanton's, Michters, Elijah Craig or Bowman Brother's guys? Mixed drinks are refreshing, the food isn't too bad and delicious sushi is available from Club Sushi up front. Bartenders are chill. Watch out for trashed cougars because they can either be entertaining or scary. Witnessed two said cougars sitting at the bar stuffing their hands in the garnish trays and eating. My wife and I went out of season on a Saturday night aka Ohio state game was one. Massive Ohio state bar which is great if you're from Ohio. I didn't mind the game action because none of my teams were playing but Ohio State was up 54-0 and Clemson was ranked number#2 in a close game. I'd like to see some variety of sports. 4 stars are for the burgers only. This is the place to go when you need a break from seafood and want very laid back and casual T-shirts, flip flops, hats, it's all good here. Located in a hotel, this place was a bit tricky to find at first. It's really just a little outdoor tiki area with a decent sized bar overlooking a hotel pool. Very casual, they serve all drinks in plastic cups, totally chill :-) We had the conch fritters and dynamite shrimp to start. The fritters were dry and not of the right texture that I'm used to a fritter being. The dynamite shrimp was a better choice in appetizer but we could have easily skipped it as well. The winner here is the cheesebuger. Char grilled, high quality bovine so feel free to order med rare no prob. Kick back, relax and let the good times roll! read more

I had a burger with fries, the burger was very undercooked however the kind bussboy (Matthew) helped me out he brought it back to the kitchen and fixed it for me. Unexpected dive bar in the swanky area of Naples. Buried behind the lobby of the Gulf Coast Inn hotel and overlooking the pool area. Beer is cheap and cold and the highlight of the visit. Group was hungry and the food was acceptable when cooked properly. 2 of 3 burgers were not cooked correctly and the onion rings were cold, soggy and undercooked. Causal, laid-back place to grab lunch. Exclusively outdoor seating. Tiki places are becoming few and far between in Naples, so it's nice to see Harold's stay in the game. The place does not advertise and it does not try to advertise - it knows it's clientele, which is mostly (a) people staying at the hotel, (b) locals who know their way around "old" Naples, and (c ) Ohio State alumni because on Saturday's in the fall it's Ohio State day and nothing but Ohio State day (i.e. if you don't come dressed in Buckeyes Gear wanting to watch Ohio State, then you're better off going to Jack's River Bar that day). The food is good- the burgers and the fish are very good. The Southwest Burger is a personal favorite of mine, but the peppers on top come out a little too greasy sometimes. The fries are so-so. I will say the service is very, very slow so if you're in any kind of rush this is not the place for you. read more

Not impressed. We showed up on NFL semi finals Sunday and got a decent table with a nice view of the pool and a tv. Tried the smoked fish appetizer, it was weird. Tasted like leftover fish chopped up and stirred into a mayo based sauce. About halfway through the football game our server has a shift change. The guy we got seemed attentive and good. I was going to eat light but he recommended the burgers, so I went with that. Then he asked me how I like it cooked. And I said medium rare to medium. He made as if he was looking to see who was working in the kitchen, and then he said it would probably come out over cooked. He said if I wasn't happy with how it was cooked he would give me 50% off. So I ordered medium rare. My buddy ordered medium. Of course when it came out it was well done. I showed it to him and he shrugged as if to say "yep, I knew it." My buddy's was even worse. When the bill came there was no discount. It took me 12 minutes to get someone to find our server so that I could ask him about it. He apologized and took it to the back. When he returned he said ,"I did not say 50%, I said 15. That's all I can do". For a place that claims to have the best burger in Naples since 1990 this was way sub par. Quite funky as you enter. Signs for sushi made it a bit confusing. Keep on walking. Bam, you're at a tiki bar by the pool. Started with coconut shrimp, oysters, and New England clam chowder. Shrimp were decent, oysters outstanding, soup dam good. Two had salads, pretty basic. They were out of the homemade blue cheese dressing. All 4 of us had burgers. Cooked the way we ordered. Second time eating here. Very relaxed environment under a tiki hut with plenty of TV's playing the golf tournament and other sports. Service was great, food was good. Some of the clientele was a bit rough. Burgers are on par with any of the better burger joints around Naples. Our group was split - half the group thinks Harolds has the best burgers in Naples, half the group thinks Brook's has the best burger. I enjoyed both and am happy to keep trying them all! read more

We have been to Harold's a few times with our kids and we all love it. Yes, we are Ohio State people from Ohio so let's chalk up at least one of these stars to bias, but nonetheless we love this place. While there's no kids menu they are very friendly with kids and you can easily split menu items amongst the kids. The drinks are simple (but a nice variety) and on the cheaper side. The food is a little more expensive than the drinks but it's consistent and tasty. The best part about Harold's is the consistency - you know what you'll get and it will be good. Don't let the hotel lobby scare you off...walk on through and enjoy! Also, O-H! read more

We were so disappointed! Coined a great local place? My husband had the " famous burger" which was not anywhere near the best burger in addition totally overpriced. They even charged for BBQ sauce 1.00 ! I have the chicken tacos and asked for salsa versus sour cream or guacamole and was charged as well for a tablespoon of salsa! Drank wine out of a plastic Dixie cup! $30 for a burger, tacos and 1 glass of wine (during happy hour may I add) the shoestring fries were shameful!
