It's fresh looking and inviting. Because it was one of the warm days recently they had the whole front opened up and that was nice. It seems to have a hometown client base, I say that because everyone seemed to know each other or at least someone else there. They had a food truck setting up when I was there but I don't try it. The selection, while not huge was solid. I decided to try a DIPA and a TIPA and both were decent. The folks working were accommodating. If I get back over that way I'll be sure to stop by and try another drink or two.

I checked out their menu and was stunned at the prices they are getting for those pizzas. WAY overpriced. Of course i didn't have to pay for them since it was a party, but knowing what their pizza is like i would never go back there and pay those prices. The wings were just OK, pretty mediocre. Parking is a joke. No where near enough spots for the size of the place. Overall it was just OK, i would not return. There are better places for the same or less money.

Harper's Grill - Honest Review Unfortunately, my experience at Harper's Grill was very disappointing. The meat had an old, stale flavor, and the hamburger was extremely underdone even after requesting medium and well-done. The steak Stromboli was horrendous -- the meat wasn't cooked properly, was incredibly greasy, and had a strange, liver-like iron taste. The steak on the steak salad was the same way. I can't fairly review the fries since I had to drive home slowly due to Halloween traffic, but overall the meal was a letdown. On a positive note, the staff was very nice and polite, which made the experience a little better. Still, whoever is in the kitchen could really use some basic cooking lessons. Very disappointing and would not recommend based on this visit. read more

Outstanding food! My wife wanted to eat here tonight and I was highly skeptical, its sad when you start passing up true burger joints for Wendy's. Thank god I didn't. We ordered 2 custom burgers, sliders and wings. I've eaten wings at every place between Kittanning and Ford city and these are the best darn wings I've ever had! As for the burgers, just wow. Clearly fresh and was very enjoyable. I don't know if the chips are homemade but the included kettle cooked chips were also extraordinary. After eating at Harper's Grill I don't think I'll ever see the drive through again when a burger is needed. read more

One of these best joints out here. Every time I come into town I have to stop and get their Shotgun chili dog. I definitely recommend putting fries in it!! Love the burgers--especially on a pretzel bun. Salmon burgers are the best I've had anywhere. Waffle fries are delicious. Make sure you ask for crispy when you order them. My husband got the bareback bourbon pork and really liked the sauce on it. The lemonade was good. Price was it's about the same everywhere, about $40-50 for two people. A little pricey. Cons: Understaffed. There were two waitresses and it just seemed very hectic. The kitchen got backed up and it was then a 45 minute wait to everyone who came in after us. The pork on the sandwich my husband got was burnt. They said the sandwich I got was "swimming in mounds of sautéed onions" - they forgot the onions. So it was lacking a bit of flavor. The fries are absolutely bottom of the bag, over salted, and flavorless. I'll skip those next time and choose a different side. It needs some decorations and there needs to be some better seating options, either a 4 person table or a 6 person table. Not great for couples. And just a matter of personal opinion, the menu is a bit childish - I get they were trying to really go for the "country" style here, but we already live in BFE, we don't need a story for every menu item. Overall, we will try it again, and I really hope this place does do well because anyone near Rural Valley and Dayton knows we could sure use a good restaurant.

The 2 sides of the breast together didn't even equal 1 side of the breast from the previous dinner. I was shocked and disappointed. It tasted good but the second dinner was nothing like the meal I previously had. The cooks are very inconsistent and need some training.
