Ambiance- Quaint little restaurant. Thought it would be busier by the looks, very small on the inside. Lots of nostalgic pictures of businesses that were established in Ford City. Conversation pieces. Menu- very large with a variety of choices. Newcomers need more than a few minutes to read it. As you can see by the hands holding up this Goliath menu, ya need more than a minute! Service- The waitress vultures our table...when it's obvious we needed more time. Get the drinks first, and when the menu's are down, patrons are most likely ready... but first, get the drinks right! We Ordered 2 sweetened ice tea, came back unsweetened- a water with lemon, got no lemon. The only one she got right was 1 unsweetened tea, but forgot the sweetener packets. She stood there leaning up against the wall with her palm pilot putting the order in. Head down no expression on her face what so ever. Lacking enthusiasm. Food- The food was delicious! Great cooks! Burgers cooked correctly... nothing was sent back. 3% up charge for using a credit card. I would go back there and try something different.. read more

One of these best joints out here. Every time I come into town I have to stop and get their Shotgun chili dog. I definitely recommend putting fries in it!! I ordered a Pittsburgh Cheesesteak. On the menu, it did not disclose that it is a burger on a sandwich. I ordered it thinking it'd be a regular cheesesteak. However, when I opened I couldn't be more disappointed. It was a burger on two loaves of bread. I took a bite of it and it was very disgusting. read more

menu here was so massive it took me over 3 hours to read the entire thing. every option seemed so delicious i was left indecisive. after lots of looking over i ended up ordering the key west chicken sandwich. SOOOO GAS! my one bro got the same sandwich and he devoured it. the rest of my table also enjoyed their food. environment was chill and lit. i drew the best pictures on my placemat and sang along with the radio. i payed for a glorilla song to play 22 times in a row and they let it slide because they chill here. love this little dive in ford city. stop by and try it for yourself. read more

The burgers are consistently good tasting, good quality burgers. Always "well done" like we ask them to be. Wings are also good, but you get a variety of drumsticks in the order also, which are mostly tough and not as good as the wings. Things that are not consistent.....actually getting your pickle with the burger, or your toast and celery with the dozen wings, or if the chips really are homemade or Lays from the bag. Service is on the slower side as everything is made fresh, so we mostly do takeout. The workers are always friendly and always welcoming when eating in or doing take out. read more

My husband and I stop at Harper's on Tuesday night . We eat here every few weeks, burgers are pretty good even if the service isn't always great! When we stopped Tuesday they carded us! Love their burgers. Was so disappointed today. We waited 1.5 hrs for 3 burgers and a hot dog. How is that even possible? That's pretty much all they do. We took my son and his girlfriend for lunch on a Sunday. They had dinner plans. By the time our burgers came, it made them late for their next gathering. I will only do take out or delivery from now on. Just looking back into the kitchen, it seems like those orders get priority. So after our 1.5 hr wait, they gave me the wrong burger and to remake it! Totally unacceptable. They took mine off of the bill, only after my husband complained. It pretty much ruined our dining experience with family. 1.5 hrs would be extreme if there was a chef at a fine dining restaurant. This is a burger joint, I have no idea how it could take that long. It's a shame because I really like the place. Hopefully the owners read these reviews and will straighten their kitchen out. read more

This was lunch venue for a bicycle event. Place was clean and cool. Burger selection is excellent. I asked for my burger on the raw side of medium rare and it came out without any pink. It was downright ordinary. When the waitress asked me how it was I told her of my disappointment she shrugged and said I'll tell them. First of all, the woman on the phone was not very pleasant to speak with. Interrupted several times and definitely had a bad attitude. When we explained wanting the burger well done, the woman argued with us that "no pink" is the same as well done. It isn't, temperature dictates if something is well done. She didn't honor our request to speak to the cook and instead just said she'd put a note. Please keep in mind that my order here has been off temperature almost every time in past orders. Have been ordering from Harper's for about 2 years, and have yet to experience any issues with service or food. Burgers are flavorful and thoughtfully prepared and plated, and will survive even my 20 minute drive home. They plate takeout food very well, nothing is ever soggy or cold upon opening up the container to dig in. Staff is super friendly, always welcoming, and lots of smiles. Love their house ranch dressing, and couldn't pick a favorite burger because so they're all delicious. Hope to see this place stick around for the long haul! read more

We ordered and picked up yesterday. We both ordered customized Black Angus Burgers. The burgers came as ordered, wellness! The Brioche Buns are great. The toppings were just what we ordered. And the Waffle Fries are really good. These are some of the best made burgers we have ever had. The people working there are super friendly. They also deliver. We will be back. read more

4/7/19 - Terrible, terrible wait time for 3 mere burgers and a hot dog. Sat here for over 1hour 25 minutes after ordering. Then they totally brought one of the burgers that wasn't even what my wife ordered and had to remake it. Maybe recommend take out service but never dine in..... FYI, they let you sit there while continually tying up the grill time with take out and delivery orders while they think it's okay to let dine in guests sit and wait. So very disappointed! I brought my whole family here a while back and the food and service was good. We came back on Friday and I just could not believe how poorly trained the waiter was. I tried ordering the Coconut Shrimp. He says he doesn't know why it's still even on the menu because they haven't had it for a long time! What? Then he forgot to bring several things just with our appetizer order. My husband's salmon burger was not what it was last time, waiter said they "have new product". The potato chips were straight out of the bag. How hard is it to make homemade chips and put some seasoning on them?? Forgot to bring my granddaughters fries and blamed it on the kitchen, without so much as an apology. Waiter never checked back after bringing the food and we had to go ask for the bill, we sat there forever waiting on him. They were not busy. On my "NEVER AGAIN" list. Tried this place for the first time today. It was a decent meal. The wait was pretty long. Spent about an 45 mins waiting for two burgers. Burger was pretty good. Meat was excellent and quality was good. I got it on Texas toast and that was pretty good though there was too much condiments. They need to go easy on it. I will admit that the food is exceptional but here's where things get cloudy. From the couple of times I've ordered take-out there my food has either been forgotten or a bit wrong. I always give them another chance because they're a new business! Your best bet would be to just go in and eat if I'm being completely honest. The workers there are average. Some of the servers/hosts talk well with the customers and make sure everything is okay, others don't. You're lucky if you see them more than 5 times. And don't even get me started on the employees in the back!! You'd think a bunch of sailors were back there! If you're out looking for somewhere out of this world then Harper's Grill is your place but they still have a lot to work out. read more

Very disappointed. We ordered takeout. When we went to pickup our order we were told they needed 10 minutes more. Went back 10 minutes later and burgers were cold. Obviously they had been ready at first pickup attempt. Burgers ordered medium well and were well done. " Homemade" chips could have passed for Lays potato chips and not the Cajun we ordered. I've given this place 4 tries. First 3 tries I didnt care for the food at all. The only good thing was the Waffle fries. I'm on my 4th attempt now, hoping to find something I like and when I go in to pick up my order they gave me someone else's order and acted like that was the cards I was dealt and had to take it.
