Excellent little bar with Polish roots in an old house. Ice cold beer in frosted mugs, outstanding hot sausage sandwiches, and friendly staff.

Very pleased with Stanley's Bar and Grill. I had a hot sausage that was perfect. My wife had a pastrami that she loved. THe beer on tap was extremely cold. The atmosphere is great, it's just like the neighborhood bars I grew up in. I will definitely return to Stanley's in the near future.

Ditto Stephen S's review. Unexpected greatness in the form of a hot sausage sandwich. Down & dirty (not physically) bar that merits a visit.

Local dive bar - The food is very average. The prices are great. I'd go to Harpers next time.

Great hot sausage, cold beer and friendly people. The only drawback is that its small and can be crowded

Good Hot Sausage and great Pastrami sandwiches. Not a fan of the atmosphere but as long as the food is good, that's all that matters.

This time, we were visiting our uncle in Kittanning so we decided to stop by to grab our favorite hot sausage.

Harper's Grill - This is the quality and cook of "steak" in the steak Stromboli. Horrendous, greasy, and mushy. Had a very liveresque flavor. Iron included.

I recommend visiting this charming restaurant located in Cook Forest…read more There is a little store adjacent to the restaurant which has really cute little homemade gifts and Bigfoot related merchandise. You select the items you want to purchase and then bring to the restaurant. Walking into the café/restaurant, there wasn't a sign "wait here to be seated" etc. or anything like that.. so we caught the attention of a waitress who was friendly and sat us at a table. The forest nook was busy on this Saturday afternoon. The patrons seem to be locals and visitors as well. The menu had something for everyone and our server was quite friendly. My boyfriend ordered the personal pizza which was incredibly fresh. I ordered the steak and cheese sandwich. My sandwich was also delicious and very filling. There were specialty cocktails available as well as beer on the menu. I really enjoyed the outside décor of The Forest Nook. The restaurant updates their hours and special events on their facebook page. They also accept reservations on their website. We had a great first experience and cannot to return!!
