This small bar has been loved by locals for many years. It's not usually the kind of place we go to but for us, it's a place with memories. My husband's grandfather used to come here often since it was just across the street from where he lived. My husband had been here with him before but my first visit was when we came to town for his grandfather's funeral. A few family members stopped by the bar afterward as a tribute to him. We haven't had many chances to visit Ford City since both of his grandparents passed away. This time, we were visiting our uncle in Kittanning so we decided to stop by to grab our favorite hot sausage. It was around lunchtime and the barstools were already filled with locals. We got our hot sausage and my husband enjoyed a beer with it while we talked about his grandpa and shared some memories. It was a simple visit but a meaningful one. 5 star dive bar in Ford City, PA! It's a small quaint bar with maybe 10 stools. IC Light drafts were cheap and they had some of the best Hot Sausage I've ever had. It's prepared by the bartender on a griddle right behind the bar and the sub roll is amazing as well. Their pastrami on rye is worth it for the delicious rye bread alone. I think it's from a local bakery. It's cheap and delicious and worthy of a long drive from Harmar (and a flight from Orlando) for some good food... and cheap beer! read more

Food is good, if you don't mind waiting on one older woman who is a bartender/cook that is as slow as molasses. She doesn't look away from the grill when she's cooking to see there's people need drinks and food. People sometimes leave because they're tired of the wait. Good food long wait. read more

Very pleased with Stanley's Bar and Grill. I had a hot sausage that was perfect. My wife had a pastrami that she loved. THe beer on tap was extremely cold. The atmosphere is great, it's just like the neighborhood bars I grew up in. I will definitely return to Stanley's in the near future. read more

Ordered take out. And once again the bartender / cook was overwhelmed. Maybe it's time to add help if you're going to try to push your food. And as far as the cabbage on the pastrami that I got Big Burn would be ashamed of it. The recipe is finally cut cabbage with oil and salt and pepper mixed together that's it. A decent place for cold brews and bar sandwiches. Years ago it was one of many ethnic type neighborhood bars in town and most have sadly passed away. Stanley's survived and that is a testament to itself. read more

My hometown bar. Great hot sausage, even better pastrami, and some other great sandwiches and sides. Even serve breakfast in the mornings! Your normal selection of bottled beer (10-12 choices) and about 4 beers on tap. Get a draft beer and sip it out of a cold iced mug. Also serve spirits and soft drinks. They keep their (very small) kitchen extremely clean. Overall a comfortable fun place. It's not huge and on weekends it can get pretty crowded. Oh yeah - get some BEER chips too!
