Took 2016 GMC truck to gets lights put in. As of yesterday the price were 5,400 dollars call back today said blinkers were still not working it will be about 6500. So we decided to pick up the truck. They had the truck for a week and it still not working. The headlights for 2 were 1900 a peicex2. Then he charged 250 dollars were coil charge because he didn't have the original lights. Then the next day he said he needed a fuse or electrical box which total came to 5400 two days later he called and said it needed something else. So we asked will that do it and he say he couldn't guarantee. Really about 7000 dollars and lights still not working. And they did the diagnostic for over 200 and said he didn't charge a diagnostic fee for the other things they checked. They are such a rip off. Truck still lights still not working properly. I want to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received from Harrell's Tire and Auto Service. If my vehicle were to break down directly in front of this shop, I would rather push it home in freezing, rainy conditions than ever bring another vehicle here again--including my bicycle. I brought my 1997 Honda Civic, which I drive daily, to this shop solely for an exhaust leak. At drop-off around 9:00 a.m., I clearly explained the vehicle's condition and specifically requested that they inspect and identify where the exhaust leak was coming from. While I am fully aware the car needs routine work due to its age, it did not have a Class III coolant leak prior to bringing it in. After calling for an update around 2:00 p.m., I was told--without explanation--that the vehicle had a bad coolant leak from the radiator and hoses. This was never an issue before. When I asked about the exhaust leak, I was told they would need to perform a pressure test at an additional cost. At this point, I was already frustrated, as the original concern had not even been addressed. I called again around 4:30 p.m. after receiving no follow-up, only to be told that they had found only the coolant leak. When I arrived in person after my vehicle had been there for seven hours, I was finally told, "Yes, you do have an exhaust leak, but we don't know where it's coming from." Let me be clear: The sole purpose of this visit was to locate the exhaust leak. After seven hours, that task was not completed. Instead, I left with a newly identified Class III coolant leak that now requires a radiator and hose replacement--an issue that did not exist before this visit. This was not my first negative experience with this shop. I previously gave them another chance after they mishandled repairs on my 2012 Hyundai Sonata, which ultimately had to be corrected by the dealership. This business does not diagnose customer concerns properly and appears to prioritize unnecessary or unrelated repairs. The experience felt less like professional automotive service and more like being upsold at the expense of the customer's trust. To put it simply: This is like going to a doctor for knee pain and being told you need a kidney transplant--only to be asked afterward if your knee still hurts. I'm taking my vehicle to Lane Auto, which I should of done in the first place. I strongly advise others: Do not take your vehicle here. read more

Don't just look at the overall review rating like I did. PLEASE go and read all the negative reviews and you will find that this place should not be trusted. Because far too many people have been cheated in their dealings with this company. They truly have no morals about over charging people and charging for repairs that don't actually do. I was told the wiring harness need to be rewired due to damaged wires and it would take 5 hours to rewire. But there were no wires replaced only a connector was used to repair the damaged wires. The connector was covered with electrical tape to conceal it. I asked if they had used a connector and I was told yes. I ended up paying $1570.00 to get my truck back. I can't recommend using Harell's Tire & Auto and hopefully I can help someone else to not be taken advantage of. read more

I brought in my truck for two major issues: thumping while driving and an ABS fault. $2100 and three days later and my car was still thumping while I was driving and the ABS light they installed to address the other issue was faulty. They overcharged me $410 for one of the repair jobs quoted to me over the phone. I had to bring in my car again and even though it was their fault I had to do so they didn't even look at it for 24 hours while it was there. Will never go here again, worst experience of my life dealing with JUST An INSPECTION. I made an appointment for 7:30am as soon as they open, not a WALK-IN for just an inspection and an oil change. The guy I dealt with made it aware that I needed a new tire around 9:30am, He said it'll take just 30 mins for it to get here. 2 hours go by, I go and ask him what's up? He said oh there was a miscommunication, I'll send someone to go get it. Hour, goes by its 12:30, I ask did you get the tire? He said yeah, they're putting it on right now, 2 PM COMES. I ask why the hell is it taking so long to put on 1 tire. He says ill go check, few minutes go by. I SEE MY CAR BEING DRIVEN IN THE GARAGE. LIKE WHAT THE FUCK. This fkn retard has been aware the ENTIRE TIME, IVE BEEN HERE SINCE 7 fkn 30. Then he clocks out and goes home. If I ever see this fkn weasel in public, I'm getting arrested. read more

I went in because my car began to show and EPC light, the check engine light, and was not getting any power to speed up. I knew that I needed a tune up as I've had the car for a while and haven't had one. They were also able to tell me some other issues with my car that need to be worked on as well. They have a shuttle service that dropped me off at home and picked me back up. They were able to get my car serviced same day. So I appreciate that level of service and the excellent customer service they provide. Their labor prices are a bit expensive, however, they are much less expensive than at the dealership where I usually take my car to be serviced. Everyone saying this place was good must have either known someone or was blessed. I went there to get a quote on my truck brakes, and they wanted to charge me $1000. I politely told them no, that I just can't afford that, and I was just going to have to take it somewhere else. On the way there they proceeded to call me and tell me that my truck was not safe to drive and that they had to break something in order to look around. I told them that I still wasn't able to go there and that I had found a place instead 2 miles down the road. He asked the price they had given me and proceeded to LAUGH and MOCK me. When I got there, they said good luck and use the emergency break because they had to break my brakes, basically trying to force me to use that company. We recently had to replace our tires and Harrells's has always been our go to auto shop when we need our cars serviced. Unfortunately, our recent visit was not a good one. We dropped our vehicle off at 730 a.m. for a 9:30 a.m. same day appointment. At 4 p.m. we called to see if our vehicle was ready for pickup, after receiving zero contact from Harrells's all day. At 4'o'clock we were told the car was almost ready and waiting for alignment. How? They had our car all day and to say it's still not complete at 4 p.m. is unacceptable! At 5:15 p.m. we called and were told our vehicle will be ready by the time we arrived there for pick up. Well, we arrived less than 10 min. later and our car was still not ready. This is awful! How could our car not be ready after being at your auto shop all day? They didn't finish until 6 p.m. after having our car all day and didn't bother to give us an explanation to why this service took them all day. The manager didn't bother to make up this unacceptable experience in some way. Rather it be $5 dollars off on our next service or just an acknowledgment that this is not okay. I guess customer service skills aren't a requirement anymore in sales. I've noticed that Harrells's had been struggling in the past with management and techs being unavailable to work. It's so unfortunate because they are 5 minutes from our home and we had positive experiences in the past. Our last visit before this one didn't go well but previous management acknowledged it was their fault and they would do better. We won't be sticking around as customers to find out if it actually gets better. Time to move on! read more

My car just need an oil change. I came at 9:30 again just for an oil change!!! I waited for almost 2 hours. Car came out I paid, by the time I got to 71st high school my motor was knocking, oil light was on and car was smoking bad. I immediately turned around and brought my car back. I came into the shop and asked what the Heel did y'all do to my car!!!! The lady went and got Chris and the guy Zach that worked on my car. They didn't even acknowledge me when they came out. So ok you guys how about my car had no oil in the car. Zach couldn't have put in the oil plug. All of the oil had leaked out of my car in their parking lot!!!! Worst service ever. Took my car in to have the radiator replaced, and the oil seal changed, paid $1,100. When I got my car home, I noticed the car was leaking worst than what it was before they serviced it. Took it back to Harrell's, after talking to the manager about the issue, he told me that the leak was now coming from my transmission, and wanted me to pay an additional $800 to fix the leak, after I already paid them $1'100. To make a long story short. I found out from a friend that it was not a transmission leak, it was an oil leak. My friend said that Harrell's mechanic forgot to tighten three bolts which is why the car was leaking oil profusely. Will never take my car back to those incompetence people. read more

Brought my car in to get a few minor things done to it. Dropped it off in the morning. They never called me to tell me what was wrong with it. When I called them it was almost closing time and they put me on hold for 15 minutes. When I went to pick up my car nothing had been done to fix it. I ended up paying $398 for diagnostics and they didn't even give me a print out of what was wrong with my vehicle. They waisted my time. If you don't wait in the shop for your car they won't fix anything same day, even with an appointment. This place is a money pit. Pick a local mechanic, not a place like this. read more

Carried my truck for a A/C leak and an external anti freeze hose leak. Repaired both for $1100 which is about $500 to much but i paid anyway just to get the A/C working. Picked the truck up with a strong smell of antifreeze in the cab. The windows fogged up three miles down the road and couldn't hardly breath due to the smell of anti-freeze. Carried back and now they claim the heater coil was bad from the beginning, never smelled any antifreeze or had window fog before dropping off. They wanted $1700 to repair it which includes draining the A/C system that i just paid for them to fill. Besides anti freeze, I smell a lot of garbage. It is impossible to get anyone to work on anything now a days and get a good result. I hate to bash people or business's but this incident is ridiculous. read more

I ordered tires/rimes from online site to put on my Jaguar and set an appointment with "Discount tires" in Raeford, NC days in advance. (DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING THERE) They had my car and tires for two days just to tell me they will not put them on because I brought the wrong tires. Then proceeded to offer me 50% store credit on the tires I brought and sell me tires they had in stock for an extra $400, plus mounting and balancing. I contacted Harrells and they able to show me proof that my tires were correct and put them on for UNDER $20!! I am now a Loyal customer thanks to Dana (Front Desk) and Kevin (Technician). read more

Usually pretty good, but not so much this time. I went by the Raeford Rd store yesterday for an oil change and was told it may take an hour and a half. They suggested I make an appointment, so I did for 1PM this afternoon. I got there at 12:45 and waited at the desk for about 10 minutes before anyone came out. The paperwork was done and I gave them my keys and went to the waiting roon. It was just a few minutes before 2PM before anyone came out for my truck, so, I've already been here over an hour. They had the truck in the shop for another hour. I would occasionaly walk to the reception area and noticed the truck was down on the floor, the lady at the counter said it will be out on just a few minutes. A while later I walked back again and now the truck is back up in the air. It was raised and lowered a few times, I have no idea why, it was only in for an oil change. I guess I would have been better off waiting the hour and a half yesterday. Then I get a bill for over $150.00 for an oil change. read more
