Love this tanning salon so much! I've been coming to Solarium for 3 months now and have loved it so…read moremuch! Expectations for any tanning salon is that it's clean, has product, and the wait is not extraordinary long. This tanning salon far surpasses any expectation of a salon. Not only are there ample amounts of beds, bulbs are always bright/maintained, always full of product, and the wait times are minimal or non-existence, but what sets it a part is the customer service. Ryan is an absolutely wonderful human! Recently taking over the operation fall of 2021, Ryan connects with customers and has excellent recommendation on products and which beds to use when! Also, Wendy is such a gem - she is so bubbly and friendly - it feels like 15 minutes spent relaxed and being greeted by your friends! There is no monthly contract you must sign. There are plenty of options with payment (monthly), or by the bed/single use. There's super great lotion options from super affordable to higher end. I drive from NW West Nashville over to Goodlettsville (25 min. journey), even though there are a ton of tanning salons closer in proximity due to the wonderful service. I'd give 10 stars if I could. Do yourself a favor - go in there and say hello to Ryan. You won't be sorry.

During the…read moreappointment, there wasn't much explanation about what products were being used or what steps were happening next, which made it a little difficult to fully relax since I didn't know what was being done to my skin. She did ask some questions about my skincare and skin concerns, but some of the responses to my answers made me feel a bit embarrassed and self-conscious about my skin rather than supported or educated. As someone new to facials, I was hoping for more guidance and encouragement rather than feeling like my skin was being judged. When it came to the extractions, some of them felt quite forceful and were pretty painful. The pressure used felt a bit aggressive at times, and the way the towels were used on my face also felt a little rough rather than soft and soothing. Because of that, I didn't necessarily enjoy the process as much as I had hoped. That said, I do love how my skin feels a few days afterward--my skin definitely looks and feels refreshed. I just wish the experience itself had been gentler, more communicative, and a bit more reassuring for a first-time facial.

Cassie at the front desk delighted in telling me that "State Law prevents us from honoring this gift," when I asked what law, she changed her story to say that it's their own entrepreneurial law. I planned to tip the full amount of the certificate. I thought this was the first step to a healthy change and likely would have become a regular client. Why? Why not offer a discount? Why not offer a price list for a shorter massage? Why be so ugly? Please don't waste your time or money on this business, they don't care. Unprofessional and petty. It was not a good vibe. Cassie snapped at someone else in the office about the AC and how it was only cool in one spot and she couldn't enjoy it between customers. It made me feel like I was the problem today.

(1) The operating staff, not a dermatologist, humiliated me as I lay on the bed when chuckled at the mole while patting on my shoulder because it was close to my private part. (2) They never informed me the result until I called them. The mole was non-cancerous. My skin quickly healed from the shave removal procedure. (3) Their billing used the Current Procedural Terminology or CPT code 88305 (should have been much lower level of CPT code 11400, as I still have All the Medical Coder's Books for both inpatient & outpatient visits from my Medical Coding & Billing Course I had completed several years ago with an intention to gain knowledge as well as to avoid being ripped off) to get paid by my insurer. (4) The front desk required a copay but either failed to inform it to the billing or, if informed, the billing ignored it and sent me a bill for an amount that should have been taken care of by the copay. My insurance account shows no mention of my co-payment but a balance I am responsible for which could have been covered by the co-pay had they informed to my insurer.

I just heard the shears go chop chop chop about 3 or 4 times and then she touched up for a few seconds. Lopped it off. Then she used clippers to shave my neck. Which shouldn't have been necessary had she have left it the length I requested. She left the towel on my neck while cutting my hair and didn't put the paper thing around my neck. Hair went down my back and almost went in my pants. Very unprofessional. All of that wouldn't have been a big deal except my hair turned out butchered. I showed her two pictures of chin length bobs. My hair was a little longer than mid neck. Almost to the bottom of where your neck and shoulders meet. She cut it so short it stops at my cheekbones. It is horrible. I had told her I was growing it out. She didn't take the time to listen to me and did a rushed job. She kept saying that she knew what I wanted without really listening or letting me explain exactly what I wanted. I had even left the picture of what I wanted on the table in front of her. I called and said I wanted my money back and she wouldn't give me a refund. She said my hair wasn't long enough for the haircut I wanted, but it was. I only needed a trim. She cut off about 3 inches. I only needed about 1 inch trimmed off if that. I don't understand if I showed her a picture of what I wanted why she wouldn't have said it wasn't long enough. That was her excuse. It was most definitely long enough. Just an excuse for a bad job. She hung up on me when I was telling her to have a nice day. Really rude. You couldn't pay me to get a haircut there again.
