Gypsy Barber & Shave is a small (3) chair shop that sits in a converted 1960's ranch style home on a side street about a block off of Rivergate Parkway in Goodlettsville. Parking is ample as the front yard was paved to make spaces. When you walk in, you pop into the waiting room which features oversized chairs, dark wood floors, heavy wood tables topped with ornate chess boards, mounted deer, a bourbon barrel and a cool metal mustache! It is a total vibe that fits the energy of this place! The lobby opens up to the room where all the magic happens. This room features copper decorative ceiling tile, lighter floors, leather barber chairs and oversized stations with large mirrors. Really love the overall décor and feel of this place! I snatched up an appointment with Laura, who turned out to be super chill, fun and talented! I will definitely be back to see her in the future. During my cut I got to chat up the other two Barbers, which were equally as fun and friendly. In addition, I got to hang with the resident greeter and all around cool pup, Murphy! Overall, got a great cut at a cool spot by a good Barber! I found my spot :)

I booked an appointment, received a confirmation, and planned my morning around it--only to be told later that the appointment couldn't be honored due to a scheduling policy that wasn't clearly communicated during booking. This experience wasted my time and left me scrambling to find another barber. I was excited to try out GueroFadez at Elusive Studio Barbershop as I'm new to the area and was looking for a reliable barber. Unfortunately, my experience was frustrating due to issues with the booking process. I booked an appointment through the Booksy app, received an automatic confirmation, and planned my morning around it. However, I was later informed via text that the barber doesn't take haircut appointments on Mondays, even though the app allowed me to book and confirmed the appointment. Here's the problem: when you click "Book Now" on the app, it shows you the available schedule for appointments, but it doesn't include the note about "no haircuts on Mondays." That note is only visible if you go back to the barber's 'about me' pae and then click on 'details', which makes no sense. Why would anyone go back to check the schedule after already seeing availability and booking an appointment? This is a major flaw in the booking process and creates unnecessary confusion for clients. To make matters worse, I received a message saying that GueroFadez had confirmed my appointment. However, when I brought this up, he explained that the confirmation is automatic and not something he personally reviews. This makes the confirmation completely meaningless. A confirmation should mean that someone has looked at the booking, verified availability, and approved it--not just an automated message that gives clients false confidence. If the confirmation doesn't mean anything, why send it at all? When I brought these issues up, the barber explained that the booking software is out of their control. However, as a business owner, the choice of booking software and how it's managed is ultimately their responsibility. If this issue happens often enough to require multiple warnings, it's a sign that the system needs to be fixed. I appreciate the apology, but this experience left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I wasted my morning and was left scrambling to find another barber. I hope GueroFadez and Elusive Studio Barbershop take steps to improve the booking process to avoid inconveniencing future clients.

Took my 13-year-old there for a taper today. My son has the worst cowlick, so I was worried how the…read morecut would turn out. Hands down, one of the best tapers ever. The icing on the cake was that Anas not only did a fabulous job with the taper, but also really went above and beyond to make sure my son liked every bit of his haircut. He took his time; he was respectful and outgoing. Great customer service, which is what I want to see when I go into a business. I will definitely be returning regularly!
