At the dock, Greg gave me and my family a quick, but thorough review of the boat and its safety features. The boat itself was spotless, and silent during the cruise. Cruising Annapolis Harbor and Spa Creek was a delight. A wonderful day, and a great value on the water. Thank you Greg and Sherry!!! I will be back.

At 8 AM the following day, I received a voicemail, an email, and a text message from the company stating that they were closed Monday and I should not have been allowed to make a reservation via their own website,. Obviously there would be a full refund, and they were very apologetic. I never received the refund and contacted them twice more during the next six days. Today I received an email from Benjamin. Tiederman stating that I would only be refunded 50%, which would not be received for another five days. This is fraud and theft, Along with basic incompetence and lack of ethics. I had to eventually submit a charge back to my credit card company, which will cost them extra money in fines instead of doing what they stated they would do. I've never left a negative review on any site so congratulations Annapolis electric boat rentals.

So we remained on the top level which was open windows. The views were amazing. Just bring a light jacket because it gets a little windy on the water. I would like to do this again. Maybe during warmer weather though. Even though I still enjoyed everything about it. If you're interested in learning St. Michael's history while enjoying the calming waters. This would be perfect.

The visitor center entrance building has great bathrooms and the new gift shop? Chef's kiss! We picked up a number of things for my toddler that she was interested in, including the cute Chadwick the Crab books. You can really tell the care that has gone into the exhibits, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. Hopefully we can do one of the fun day long experiences working on a project there in the future! Definitely worth a stop if you're in St Michael's!

There were three amazing exhibits that we will never forget. One was at the entrance where a drawbridge was brought by land and sea to enchant anyone entering the museum grounds. Another was The Pitt. It was a practice which hunters used to deceive ducks into believing they were merely swimming across the water but were shot en masse by this deception. It is no longer legal because it is not considered fair game. The other was the shipyard. Man's ingenuity, determination, and skill when it comes to the seas never ceases to amaze me. It was so interesting to see the hull of a ship and how this work turns into a miracle that has allowed man to conquer the earth. There is a Patriot Cruise at noon and two which we missed. It looked like great fun and is only an additional ten dollars added to the entrance fee. The lighthouse is worn and tired looking, but it is still exciting to see how someone managed to live in such isolation to ensure the safety of those at sea. The woman who was the representative at the desk was knowledgeable but officious. Things are a little rundown, but the museum is worth the price of admission. The gift shop is beautiful and the people there were both helpful and nice.

There are beautiful vistas everywhere and many species of birds to see in their various patterns of flying, and we got close enough to see the ugly baby ospreys in their nest and the diligent and beautiful parents going and returning. I saw blue crabs, lots of birds, jumping fish, and calming vistas. I learned so much from well-crafted, literature-quality family and personal stories that made real the global warming in the Bay, DDT in the ecosystem, the conflicts about how to bring back the oysters, what the big donation-seekers really are doing, and more. You have to wonder why the state won't just stop oyster fishing until they recover. It would save the watermen instead of destroying their industry and then turning a dead Bay over to corporations who finally may resurrect it out of self-interest. These narratives were inspiring and persuasive. I'm impressed with the watermen's insights into their industry and its decline. The ship is beautiful. Captain Murphy is a rare human being. And this trip is something I'd hate to have missed. We were a huge group, so I didn't get any fresh oyster, so I'll go again, hoping for a slow day. I can't imagine eating an oyster right out of the Bay, not just alive on ice but a living Bay oyster. There's so much to enjoy. Capt. Murphy even told us a great place to eat. A truly wonderful couple of hours.

Gave us a lot of information about the role oysters play in filtering the bay, how the over harvesting has reduced their population to 1% within about a decade. Gave us a demo by dredging a few oysters. My wife ate her first ever oyster, raw, without even lemon juice. Very enjoyable experience.
