There is definitely a different choice of shirts, toys, and whimsical items than found on South Padre. Probably the best things about the shop are the owners. These are the type of places where you want to visit & are 100% worth it! My husband & I were there a few weeks ago but they didn't have any public releases during our stay in SPI but I am looking forward to get the experience this!

She followed me around the store and, on two separate occasions, came up to me and said, "We're short staffed." I genuinely wasn't sure what she meant by that. The impression I got was that she didn't want me touching or looking through the shirts. After the second time, I finally asked, "Are you offering me a job?" She immediately backtracked with, "No, no, that's not what I meant..." but I still never really understood what she was trying to communicate. What bothered me most was that I didn't see her treating the other customers that way. I spoke with the manager before leaving, and she said she would address it, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the experience left a bad enough impression that I won't be returning. There are plenty of other souvenir shops on the island where I can browse without feeling like I'm being monitored. Port Isabe/SPl has too many great places to shop to spend my vacation dollars somewhere I don't feel welcome.
