Great choices, fresh fruit and vegetables and the fuel points. They need to make sure they don't put sick employees at the register. One very unpleasant experience where they were wiping their nose which was running, then handling food, as well as coughing. Otherwise great sushi and seafood as well. read more

I've went to bakery section 2 times so far at this location, and both times, some employees were not friendly at all. One time I went to get sample that was there, and one of the lady behaved rudely. Please have a good behavior towards your customers or customers won't shop there again. read more

April 2024: First, I am not a regular grocery shopper; however, this location is convenient and consistent go to when necessary. Ample parking, no issues there. When entering near adjacent High House Road appears people smoke around the outside of the building and the smell is evident upon entering. The store cannot control those who need to pacify a habit but should consider if employees to designate a place further away not to detract from business and customers. Management may want to impose a surcharge on benefits for those use tobacco products, just a mere suggestion. Customer service every time at this location is always 5 stars . Whether looking for a product, picking up coffee for the office and paying in cash including coins, most recent visit was to pick up a container of watermelon. Either a store manager or someone was on with an employee walking in the produce vicinity and asked if I needed something. Ironically, yes, stopped in specifically fresh sliced container $6 of watermelon. The guy, Chris, asked if I don't mind waiting 5 minutes. He stepped away and returned carrying a watermelon. I observed him slicing and packing it expeditiously. Truly, this location hires caring employees and customer focused based on all my experiences. Watermelon is now $7 but still worth it! read more

This is a neat grocery store with so many options for produce, unique international fruit, deli meats, pizza, easy meals, salad bar, coffee shop, etc. My Kroger membership needs in-house change to HT card but the staff is super helpful. Parking is ample and the fresh bread, bakery section is super for quick school needs and such. I love the Simple Truth ingredients line and shop a lot of that owing to clean ingredients. For a picky shopper, this is a really easy store to navigate your choices for specials, gluten free foods, fodmap free foods and all kinds of clean ingredients. Love Harris Teeter! read more

Great service almost every single time I come here but the self checkouts could be a little bit faster so removed one star. Otherwise one of the best Harris Teeters in the Triangle and employees are usually happy and in a good mood. I highly recommend the staff and parking at this Harris Teeter and have been coming here since it opened in September 2006 when I was 22 years old. This location has gone way downhill. Couldn't remember why I hadn't been to this location in a while. Now I remember why. Service is terrible. I usually can only shop later in the evening, and they force you to do self check out, yet they hurry you along to leave. If they would have had a cashier, we would have left 10 minutes faster. Self checkouts are fine for one or two items, but really suck when you have to do your whole shopping trip. Weighing produce etc. is not quick. Miss the free cookies for kids too. That was a nice thing that made it easier to go during the day, but now kids are just sad they no longer offer that and complain about it the whole trip. For their high prices they really should offset it with customer service and they just don't. Food lion has better overall prices and they still ring up your groceries for you! read more

This Harris Teeter has a lot of good deals lately! I was able to get some seafood from here at $7 / pound! Single digit price for sea food please sign me up! The staff was SO nice and even walked me / took the time to instruct me on how to cook shrimp for the first time!! That extra step makes a difference for a repeat customer like me! read more

They basically run a brothel out of this movie house, and I think it's got to be illegal. Oh wait sorry that is a review for "Whorish Theater" not "Harris Teeter." I hung out at this overpriced grocery store for a good four or five hours, two nights before Thanksgiving. The night after, I hung out at another nearby location. I like both of them. It has Wi-Fi and places to sit which I appreciated. But it got really really cold because the Outlets were right by the doors. Another thing I don't really like about it is that the cops seem to hang out in the parking lot all night looking for people to give tickets to. For this reason, I prefer the other one. This has been my neighborhood HT since the Highway 55/High house rd location closed. (Now Lidl) It is located in the Cornerstone plaza and provides ample parking. It is their standard set-up, mid size, with peishables on the periphery. Produce department has been hit/miss during the pandemic and often struggles with conditions Deli/Bakery has been fairly consistent and their promos (subs, pizza, cheese case) are incentivizing. Meat/seafood-Again hit or miss. Staff can be aloof. Non Perishables: Dairy/Frozen/Grocery/HBC-Struggled during pandemic with Inventory, but these departments are more consistent than the aforementioned. Customer service is usually above average and most associates sport smiling faces. Solid store and environment. read more

This is my go to place to get Starbucks. My drinks are made perfectly every time, and there's never about line which I love because of covid. It's literally right in the front as you walk into Harris Teeter. Good grocery store, love their ice cream selection and wine and cheese. read more

This Harris Teeter is conveniently located near my house so I pop in here every once in a while when I realize that I forgot to buy cat or dog food and it's too late to go to PetSmart. On that note, I love that they carry the pet food brands I buy for my pets. Overall, Harris Teeter isn't my grocery store of choice (I'm more of a Publix and Whole Foods type of gal), but it's convenient when I'm in a pinch and it seems like an above average location with good competitive prices. The store is very clean. The staff seem friendly. I also like that it's open 24/7. It has self-checkout and a Starbucks, which is a plus. read more

Everyday prices a bit on the high side but sale prices are good. Sometimes they even have a buy 2 get 3 free. {Ex. 12 packs of soda $6.99 ea (very high) but you buy 2 for $13.98 and get 3 free so $13.98 for 5 12 packs or $2.80 each!} I LOVE LOVE LOVE their clearance racks! Here are some highlights: Pros: a) Free Wi-fi b) On site Starbucks c) Pharmacy (not 24hours) d) Nice selection of Fresh Produce. e) One of the few grocery stores in Cary where a custom steak can still be cut. f) They offer a high quality paper bag with handles. Good for reusing. g) Good variety in their deli. h) Above average ice cream and novelty selection i) Fairly good Soup and Salad Bar j) Plentiful parking available. k) Two indoor Redbox DVD rental machines. L) Their restrooms are consistently clean and well stocked. Cons: a) They recently remodeled this store, and although it likely wasn't their goal, I feel they constructed new physical barriers, and this has caused the service level to decline. b) The pharmacy now has a new jumbo monitor, and privacy wall. *Ordinarily, this might seem like a pro for the customers, however in this case the monitor is not visible by the client, and both literally block the team's ability to see the customer. I've mentioned this to the pharmacy team, and not only are they in agreement, they seem borderline ashamed by the changes (clearly out of their control). c) Grocery pricing remains high on several staple items. d) They have a pizza bar, however since the product doesn't move, it often looks less than stellar. e) Their Hot bar features Asian Food. Sadly, this area typically appears even less attractive than the pizza bar. I believe it comes down to volume. They can fill up the hot buffet, however if the food just sits there... f) The pharmacy isn't open 24 hours, and closes for 30 minutes during the afternoon. g) The cash register areas are very narrow, and cashiers are often forced to ask customers to move, so they can swing a cart around the area designed for the customer to be positioned. Harris Teeter (HT) is a grocery chain located heavily on the east coast, especially in the south east portion of the US and headquartered outside of Charlotte, NC. While it's owned by Kroger as of 2014, it runs its operations separately and if you keep reading, you'll understand why. Kroger is experiencing plummeting sales, evidenced by their closing several stores this year (2018) and last while Harris Teeter is enjoying tremendous growth as it continues to expand in what is called, "high value communities." Yeah, that's just fancy talk for saying they are only interested in "neighborhoods where people earn lots of moolah and like to spend it at high end stores!" Even so, I love Harris Teeter grocery stores. I haven't been to one yet that disappoints, including this one. HT always comes through. I can always count on finding most of my rare food faves and that means a great deal to me and my family. That includes foods like: - A vast variety of cheeses over by the deli, - Stunning desserts in the bakery cases, - Newly released items on the shelves, - Fabulous selections in the frozen aisles, -Great sushi that can be ordered, pre-packaged or made in front of you - Show-stopping hot food like ribs, pizza and chicken - An amazing salad bar with all the salad fixings you could ask for Yes, I could go on and on because all of that and more are right there for our purchase and enjoyment. Great service is probably their motto at HT! They are one of the few markets that will still carry your groceries ot to your vehicle and refuse your offer to to tip them! (EXPERT TIP: If I ask for help on a carry out to my car, I will still offer the employee a tip and even though they will not take it, I simply express my sincere thanks. That's just simple proper etiquette, so make sure you do that too. A simple "thank you" goes a long way so make sure you use it liberally in life with others.) Going to other chains, especially large discount ones headquartered in Arkansas, are such a chore especially when you have to fight other people for space in line. It's far too stressful! Why put yourself thru all of that when you can enjoy your shopping experience at HT. And guess what? If you're in a rush, you can download the HT app and simply place an "Express Lane" order for any and EVERYTHING you want in the store right from your computer, tablet or smart phone! For example, you can place your order in the morning and pick it up, without getting out of your car, on the way home from work. Whoa, mind blown, right!? But wait, it gets even better. They will even try to help you with reasonable last minute requests like personalizing a cake or icing some cupcakes. All of the other departments are equally amazing. From the butcher, the seafood counter to dry goods, the entire team is there to enhance your shopping experience. Look for different foods and give them a try! It is completely possible for a great grocery store to open your mind to new foods, cultures and products. As such, HT is just the kind of store that can do that. Another piece of advice. If i cant get to Whole Foods this is my next choice. Here more often than not. I especially like the newly designed stores that are modeled after Whole Foods. Better wine and meats along with hot bar and asian bar. Pizza station making pies or slices. Prices are a bit higher then the other local grocery stores but not up there with Whole Foods. They drop items I have bought for years, change sizes on other items causing you have to buy more of it, increase prices and the last straw was finding a bug in a packaged bakery item and the constant gnats on veggies and fruits. Seafood buyer be warn!! I have purchased "fresh" shrimp from this location twice in the last 6 months; both times the shrimp were rotten. Both times I have asked the man working the seafood counter if the shrimp was fresh, both times they absolutely assured me they were. The second time I even asked to smell the shrimp before hey packaged up. The man closed the bag and had me smell the plastic. My suggestion- open the seafood in the car before you go home. This store is suppose to be the nicest Harris Teeter in the area but I have yet to see it. They are supposed to be open 24hrs a day. I have to be at work at 7am and stopped by this morning like I always do before heading to work. The doors were shut, some gentlemen opened the doors using his hands and said "open at 7". When I asked "thought you were 24hrs" he just shut the doors without answering. First of all, I want to make this clear that this review concerns only one person who works at the meat/seafood department. I believe his name is Dennis. He was rude and had an attitude while I was there to get some meat and seafood. I tried to point out which pieces I wanted and he stood there and told me: I can't see that. My thought was: if you bend down a little bit maybe you can see. I certainly cannot go behind the counter and grab the pieces myself. I didn't say that since I don't want to cause a scene. I've been using this local pharmacy for several years. Dr. Schley and Dr. Higgins have always been very nice and patient. They take time to explain your medications and answer questions you may have. They call your insurance company for you, if necessary, and work things through. Calling in prescription refills is really easy with the automated system. Or, just drop them off in person and ten minutes later your meds are ready. If you have a question about products in the general pharmacy area, the doctors will walk out to help you. This place is pretty nice. I've been going here for a long time. So long that I have friends there now. The cashiers don't always look the happiest but you can tell they're trying. I wouldn't like it either if I had to listen to that loud automated self check out lady and screaming kids all day. oh and they have a huge variety of food and keep the place very clean. :) read more
