Every time I go to this grocery store I am hopeful that things will have improved. I continue to find that's not the case. Without fail, there are two cashiers working (at a snail's pace). You're guaranteed to wait for at least ten minutes and the self checkout line typically is snaking down the length of the front of the store. The women's bathroom looks like a bomb went off (consistently)...filthy and at least one toilet isn't working. Yesterday I went in and the middle stall had literal piles of feces all over the toilet. read more

This was my first visit to this store though I've visited other Lowe's Foods. There is plenty of parking though it's a very busy parking lot. So, be careful walking across the street and driving through it. The store was clean. The staff didn't speak as I walked through the store. Most didn't even smile. They seemed pretty unhappy...almost miserable. I continued on through the store picking up my item & hurrying to the register. The cashier want friendly either nor was the bagger. I said "thank you" 3x to her for bagging my items & she simply mumbled under her breath. I have no clue what that was about. Seems like a personal problem. I am still giving this store 4 stars because it was clean & I was able to find what I needed. I will go back to visit & hopefully it will be a better experience. read more

Everytime I go in I am INCREDIBLY frustrated with the lack of organic items/choices. The tiny organic produce section is sad, the meats are few and far between as far as organic and/or grass fed. read more

My mom ordered wings here for her party and requested that they be ready at a certain time. When I arrived at that time to pick them up the wings were not ready. I was advised by the clerk that he would start cooking them now because my mom said that she wanted the wings hot. The clerk was friendly and advised me to come back in at a particular time. I came back after that time and waited a few more minutes and then the wings were ready. I was provided with the sauce in separate containers and not on the wings at my mother's request. The wings were hot but they were not cooked long enough. We were disappointed in the taste of the wings and the lack of seasoning. The previous time that my Mom ordered wings from Lowe's she enjoyed them but this time she barely ate any. Maybe one or two. It was unfortunate and a waste of money because she ordered two trays of wings that did not get eaten. Unfortunately we will not be getting wings from Lowe's again. UPDATE: I originally rated Lowe's a 2 but I am updating my rating to a 4 as a result of the follow-up by several employees. The store director, Nick F. reached out to me & requested that I call him. He was unavailable so I spoke to Cheryl. Both Nick and Cheryl were apologetic about the situation. I was advised that Cheryl would speak to the staff about the situation. We were just at Lowes Foods in Clayton, NC and it was only our second time shopping there for produce as the first time was pretty good. Today was completely different; the produce was all either unripe or overaged and there was no lower prices for inspiration of sales. On top of that there were two guys stocking and had the end of the isle completely blocked off so you had to walk a good extra distance to get around to the other side for shopping that area. Customers were not acknowledged at all and it did not have a good impression on us. I will just have to go to Food Lion for produce in the future as I left with an impression that Lowes could care less about its customers. read more

I typically don't shop here but my plan was to make shrimp tacos and I wanted shredded red cabbage. Since the mandolin that I purchased 3 years ago sits, unopened, in the box I went looking for pre-shredded red cabbage. I went to Walmart and Trader Joe's yesterday and no one had shredded red cabbge. This am, I went to Food Lion (they didn't have it) and then to Lowe's Food and my life was forever changed. Lowe's Food has a Pick & Prep department and for the price of $3.99/lb (basic items), they will prep it for you. Super convenient & totally worth $4 to walk out with a container of already prepped red cabbage. Now that I know that exists, I'm sure I'll be returning. read more

This store, is down right "impressive". First, the store is very clean!!! Entering this store was an eye opener and a smile maker for me. Found out while speaking with one of the butchers that they purchase locally, which is awsome to me! Yes, prices may vary and be slightly higher depending on the product but, i know where it came from and its not some cheaper quality. If you are a FOODY like i am, you can tell quality food, this is NOT..............walmart. Love the name brands (again quality) and i was given another smile as i approached a certain beeeeer section. They have not only a wide variety of local craft beers but........a Beer Den. Three meals ruined! When my wife told me she ordered from Lowes I already knew we were in trouble. This is not my first, second or even third time dealing with spoiled food from this place. Now on this order, just as expected but this time it was SEVERAL items that were bad. We did a $500 instacart order on Friday. That evening tried to cook the shrimp, they were sticky and smelled like Ammonia - meal wasted. Sunday, I went to cook the Steak, removed the partially brown and gamey smelling meat from the package, cooked it. After I seasoned it thought maybe it would be okay. Shortly after eating it I realized it was a mistake and felt a bit sick all night. Monday, (today) I go to cook the ground chicken to make stuffed peppers. Open the packaged (expiry set for tomorrow, all items before printed expiry) and oh no, not again. Did not smell right. Put it in the pan started to fry and I realized this is another fail. Tossed that in the trash. Mushrooms to go on my lunch salad were brown and slimy. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THIS MUCH BAD FOOD WAS AN ACCIDENT. Three meals ruined. I will never go back here. FOOD IS NOT SOMETHING TO TAKE CHANCES WITH, I JUST CANNOT TRUST THIS PLACE! Buyers be warned, if you must shop here check closely, smell, feel and don't let anyone shop for you. read more

Maybe I was spoiled by my old Harris Teeter, but this place misses the mark on several levels. 1. The selection is lacking. They have 100 different kinds of tomatoes but not a lot of other variety in both fruits and vegetables. 2. The seafood quality is SO BAD. On multiple occasions I've tossed seafood less than 24 hours after purchasing because it has already gone bad (brown spots on salmon, extreme fishy smells from salmon/shrimp/tuna, very slimy) Maybe people just aren't purchasing? I definitely know why... 3. Unpleasant experiences with multiple employees, one of which I later found out is a manager. 4. Higher prices than my old grocery (HT in North Raleigh) and no paper bags at the self checkout. The only thing I can see being a pro here (which I have yet to experience) is the bar. First time at this location. It's clean, somewhat recently updated with nice new features, and huge selection in every area. The prices might be a tad higher than the other chains, but nothing extreme. The employees are friendly, available, and willing to help. The parking lots is ample and the cart corrals didn't seem overwhelmed with carts. All in all a good experience here. read more

Didn't used to like Lowe's. It was a little better than Food Lion but not much and behind the other big brands. SInce they started remodeling them all with the 'local' country vibe thing, they are vastly better. Strong points are the beer cave bar that they now all have with growler fill station. They also have a sausage works making a huge variety of different style fresh sausages. Right next to that is a smokehouse with freshly smoked pulled pork! read more

Store has gone downhill over last few years. Can't keep the shelves stocked, long check out lines, and store is cluttered. When you pay a premium for groceries you shouldn't have to deal with that. When Publix opens in the fall of 2021 they will be the preferred grocery store in the area. read more

I was asked to bag my groceries-tonight . If I want to shop at Aldi then I expect Aldi prices. They do not have enough cashiers for this store. Tonight around 7:45 pm. They had one cashier and all self checkout lanes open. The lines were long as well. People want to pay for their products and LEAVE! This is not the first time I have seen this. The best deli The best bakery Fresh produce can be overpriced I normally bounce between food lion and LWF, depending on my pockets. lol They have a lot of foods that other stores do not and vice versa. Produce is better than most but when it comes to items like spaghetti sauce, noodles, frozen items. You might as well go to another store if you are on a budget. One thing that is helpful is finding ways for my family to eat when we have had a busy day,and getting a burger is not an option. One of my favorite meal deals that this store has, is 16pcs of chicken,4 large sides, and 8pc of cornbread or yeast rolls for 28.00, now even if you went to a well know chicken restaurant you couldn't get a deal like this. I really don't like this grocery store, but it is the only decent grocery in Knightdale - and I can walk there (if I wanted). It always stinks when you walk in the front doors. The produce is generally barely passable. They are ALWAYS out of stuff. Always. Their deli employees need some major customer service training. They have minimal selection despite being an averaged sized grocery store. Even though I have talked with management on several occasions about the quality of their store, nothing ever seems to change. I drive in to Raleigh most of the time to do major shopping. That is such a shame as I really like to support the local places. One good thing is they have two Redbox stations. read more

Typical of Lowe's Foods, this store is clean and has a good variety. They have good freaks produce and an excellent selection of gourmet cheese (be it a little pricier than other stores). The bakery has quality items and a very good selection. Prices in general seem high compared to other rockery stores, but the selection of wines and other items that are more difficult to find at traditional grocery stores make it worth a top for a few items. read more

The remodeled Lowes looks INCREDIBLE!! The store is exciting, they have beer samples, wine samples, food samples and the whole place just looks great. It can be a little dangerous when you're having that much fun in a grocery store. Added plus- I joined their rewards program (it's free and not a credit card) and now I get coupons in the mail, like $10 off $50.. Not too shabby! They also offer gas rewards, but I don't think there are any participating gas stations in Knightdale, YET! Fun tip, Before you grab a cart, check out the fresh herb garden they have set up just inside the doors where you can clip the prettiest herbs you see! read more

They would have 5 stars if their parking lot was a little larger. They get as much traffic as a decent Walmart. The prices are a little higher on some products when compared to Food Lion, however ove the last year my wife and I have found some really good deals here with coupons (double coupons everyday). Their wine selection and brew is pretty decent for a large chain. They keep a real tight ship here. You don't see the sales clerk roaming the floors and yelling like at some Walmarts. The main store manager that works almost everyday of the year keeps everyone in line. I guess being a manager you notice things like that when you go shopping. Their deli is pretty good, the seafood has a good manager, the bakery is outstanding most of the time. Their produce reminds of Hannaford, very well kept! read more

I've been a weekly customer of this store since the day they opened. When they first opened, the quality, selection and customer service was top notch. However, they've gone drastically downhill in the past year. They've stopped carrying numerous items we purchased on a regular basis. However, that's not the worst of it. The worst is the customer service. There are a few good people there, mainly ones who have been there since the beginning. However, the deli department in particular has gotten to be horrible. There are usually at least four people working there at a time, and sometimes as many as six or seven - yet almost to a person they seem very reluctant to wait on you. I've stood waiting for several minutes, with no other customers in line, for someone to help me, while everyone is bouncing around behind the counter doing other things. And don't get me started on bagging groceries. They don't teach any of their baggers the proper way to bag, and they seem to lack basic common sense (or they just don't care). One day they put a frozen pie crust and soft produce on the bottom of the bag, and topped it with canned goods AND a big rump roast. However, if I try to bag my own groceries, I get arguments and an attitude about it. I've complained to management, to no avail. Today my husband asked for a price on one of the packaged deli goods that was not marked. They told him he had to go to the front checkout to ask. The person in the front said he had to go back to the deli to ask. He went back there, and they told him they could not scan it. No one seemed to care. I've already greatly reduced the number of items I purchase there, and go to Whole Foods for meat and produce, as well as the farmers market. However, this is the last straw for Lowes Foods. I will be going elsewhere for my basic pantry items. read more

Since this store is close to me, I do a lot of my grocery shopping here. They stopped carrying a particular product that I purchased often. It was surprising, because they were usually either out or almost out of this product when I shopped, so it was obviously popular! Other than that, they offer a decent selection and the service is always good so I am glad to have them as my neighborhood grocery store. read more

Absolutely love the remodel!! I'm not a "beer snob" but I LOVE the new Beer Den!! It's a growler filling station, and you can sample before you buy!! Also heard they're getting ready to start selling pints in store!!! Their deli has really transformed as well! Fried chicken, made to order pizzas, awesome sandwiches, hard not to find something you'll want! I was checking out their Sausage Works and saw them making a sandwich for someone, only $3.00 or 2 for $5 using ANY of the 30+ sausages they have! My son loves coming here, they'll do the chicken dance on request! Lowes really hit a home run with their remodel!! read more

What could have been a disaster today ended wonderfully because of the FANTASTIC service I received at Lowe's Foods. Unfortunately, one of the items I purchased did not make it into my bags. When I called the store, I spoke with the duty manager, who offered to DELIVER the item to me since it was an inconvenience. Titus, the employee who knocked on my door was very nice and apologetic, and arrived within 40 minutes of me calling. I have never received such awesome service from a retailer - and I used to work as a manger in the industry. Wanted to give them some kudos, especially after reading the other 2 reviews here..... which do have some relevant points (size of parking lot, deli staff). Things definitely seem to be getting better after the store's recent remodel, and I always have a great experience with the cashiers. read more

I stop in Lowe's at least 3 times a week. Today, could be my last. I have patience for long lines especially during the busier times. What I do not have patience for is rudeness. The young lady at the service desk asked me what I needed then asked me to let her finish ripping up lottery receipts and tickets. What she forgot was ME! Not only did she leave the service desk AFTER she finished with the lottery tickets, but she chatted with her on and off duty friends then checked one of them out at another lane. When I moved here 18 months ago, this was the first grocery store I went to. I was unimpressed. The store was dinghy and the prices were nothing special. Now that they've recently renovated and mailed me several $10 off a $50 purchase coupons, I decided to give them another try. The store is beautifully renovated, A+ there. But the prices here seemed higher than average, for no apparent reason. There were only two check out lines open. And the teenager who bagged my groceries did a comically poor job. It's a nice store, but without the coupons or an item I need that's on sale, I doubt this will become my regular grocery store. read more

This review is for the bakery department. I recently ordered a cupcake cake from them for my mother-in-laws 81st birthday. She is in an assisted living facility in the Alzheimer's wing. I wanted something be achy because I was throwing her a party with a fun luau theme that all of the residents in that wing and staff could enjoy. Not only did they completely accommodate every request I made but the cake was immaculate! Everyone raved over the design (wish I could attach photos) and the cupcakes tasted amazing! As good or even better than I could have gotten from a high end bakery shop. I highly highly recommend them! read more
