I enjoy shopping at HT, and this branch of this chain was no exception. The self checkout lines were non existent so I was able to get in and out quickly. Parking lot was crowded and there were no stalls to return the shopping cart inside the parking lot. It was crowded on this Sunday, but their meats, seafood and produce looked fresh. I was glad to see the precautions taken for sanitation sake. Though there were no free masks, that I noticed to their credit, HT went one step further than the wipes that most places offer and installed partitions between each checkout cue to minimize cross-contamination of air space. So four stars... Very cool.

Overall, the makeover at this location is a nice improvement. Without adding to the footprint HT was able to lessen aisle contention, increase their offerings, and heighten customer expectations. I especially like the wider sidewalks, the hot food station, and the wine bar. While some of their other stores have bigger amenities, these are welcomed improvements to Park Road Shopping Center that anchored itself in Charlotte in 1956. I say "give em a whirl" and see what the hubbub is all about.

Not my typical HT but I was in the area. Got a few things and was on my way out. Service was fine and the parking lot is easy to get in to.

Renee in customer service was awful. 10/10 would not recommend. She like the kind of person that doesn't tip.

They have both free and paid tastings. Keep an eye out for their free ones each day so you can sample a few of their featured wines, or the paid tastings that give you much more of a in depth background of wine. I love that they have a wonderful selection of all different priced wines so you find a great bottle at an affordable price. Each time I ask for help they are very friendly and I never feel silly asking basic questions. If you're buying for a specific person or a certain occasion make sure to ask for their recommendation and they won't disappoint. They also have a decent selection of beer, cider, sake, and other specialty alcohol if needed. Highly recommend!

I was looking for some sparkling wine and located the aisle for it fairly easy. Was able to see a whole selection of all of their sparkling wine and noticed that they were cheaper than a Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Publix, etc. I was very excited to find the kind I like and for a fraction of the cost. This will be my new favorite place. They have a huge parking lot as it's located in a shopping center. Everyone was super friendly and efficient and gave great recommendations.

Almost nothing was done in the style of a restaurant where a manager or employee would be overseeing plates coming from the kitchen to be served. We each ordered same burger- medium with crisp bacon. Each was well done with limp bacon. Burgers were overly salted. One plate, as in photo, had an end tomato slice that shouldn't have been served to a customer. Our server did bring up a slice of pie to help make up for dinner. That was nice.

There's a real sense of history here. From what I understand, Reid's is one of the oldest grocers in Charlotte, and that legacy shows in the details. The rich green tile, classic signage, and thoughtfully designed layout create an elevated, almost European-style market experience. It feels polished, intentional, and welcoming all at once. What stands out: * The store is beautifully merchandised and carefully curated with specialty and seasonal items you don't always find elsewhere. * The wine bar and café concept make this more than a grocery stop--it's a place to linger. I've enjoyed flights, tastings, and brunch on the patio, and each visit has felt like a small occasion. * Location-wise, it really depends on which store you're visiting. The SouthPark and Myers Park locations have easy, convenient parking, and there's also a newer location in Ballantyne (near Pineville). The Uptown locations, while not necessarily "easy parking," are incredibly walkable--perfect if you live, work, or have meetings nearby. If you're already Uptown, this is a fantastic stop to pick up elevated items for a beautiful dinner--think wine, specialty cheeses, or even something indulgent like caviar to round things out. One thing I appreciate is that Reid's doesn't try to be everything to everyone. It's not an organic-focused market like Whole Foods, and that's okay--it serves a different purpose. The clientele here tends to be people looking for specialty ingredients, elevated prepared foods, and a more curated shopping experience. Many shoppers probably visit both stores depending on their needs, and I find myself doing the same. When Reid's really shines: During the holidays and special seasons. Their selection of unique, festive, and hard-to-find items makes it a go-to for entertaining or finding something a little extra special. Overall, Reid's feels like a true Charlotte institution--elegant, distinctive, and consistently well executed. It's the kind of place that makes grocery shopping feel enjoyable again, and I'm looking forward to continuing to explore more of what they offer as I keep eating my way through Charlotte. Bottom line: A beautifully curated local market with history, charm, and a destination-worthy wine bar--perfect for specialty shopping, brunch, and seasonal finds.
