I have never had a long wait in the checkout line. Maybe one or two customers were ahead of me in the checkout line but it didn't take long for me to checkout, because it always goes fast. Cashiers have always been friendly and helpful. The only problem with Wegmans is their enormous size inside their store. From produce to cold boxes is a long walk for an old man like me and sometimes I think I may have to show my passport. Back to their groceries. I am amazed at the freshness, quantity, and variety of their produce. It stays the same for their other grocery items too. Whatever strange grocery item you are seeking, seek it at Wegmans and you should find it. The store has always been clean and a well lighted place. Next time you need some groceries, try Wegmans.

Seeing that employees were already inside working at the customer service counter, I politely asked if it might be possible to process the payment early so I could stay on schedule. Unfortunately, the team strictly refused and insisted I wait until exactly 8:00 AM. While I fully respect official store hours, safety protocols, and store policies, rules are made by people, and there should always be room for reasonable exceptions. Refusing a simple request just 10 minutes before opening--when staff was already present and available--felt unnecessarily rigid and unhelpful. I had to leave to get gas and return, which added unnecessary stress to an already busy morning. I value Whole Foods for its quality products and usually high customer service standards. However, outstanding customer service relies on flexibility and good judgment when special circumstances arise. The other issue was I asked two employees for galangal and neither spoke English so they got someone from the back who I asked and he took me to mangos. When I showed him the word "Galangal" on my phone, he said no. After trying the HMart down the street and comparing it to how disorganized, messy, cramped, and the poor service here, I'm done with this place.
